Chapter 26: Slash Her Face with a Dagger

Huang Wei hesitated. “Isn’t this a bit too much… What if we end up killing her?”

Brother Wei waved dismissively with a sneer. “So what if we do? We nearly beat her to death last time anyway. This time, we definitely can’t let her get away again!”

He’d been mixed up in the underworld since young, always brash and ruthless, and had connections with all kinds of shady characters.

Last time they raided the Song family home, he pulled some strings to bring in a few thugs. All just to help his little childhood sweetheart vent her anger.

Who would’ve thought that girl, Song Kexing, had such a strong will to live? She actually escaped death.

Hearing this, a glint of satisfaction flashed across Huang Wei’s face. She said sweetly,
“Brother Wei, are you going to send someone after Song Kexing now? How about I come along? I want to see her end with my own eyes.”

“Sure,” Brother Wei replied, eyes blazing as he stared at her. “If I handle this for you, how are you going to thank me?”

“You’re so annoying!” Huang Wei gave a coy pout, though inside she was utterly disgusted.

Just a useless thug, and he dares think he can take advantage of me? Keep dreaming.

“Hahaha!” Brother Wei laughed heartily, then left with Huang Wei.

Song Kexing coldly followed them from a distance.

Since they want to die so badly, she might as well take care of them all at once.

———

Song Kexing followed them for quite a while.

After winding through countless turns and twenty more minutes in a narrow alley, they finally arrived at a dilapidated courtyard.

Inside were several idle-looking thugs. Upon seeing Brother Wei and Huang Wei, they immediately crowded over with sleazy grins.

“Well, well! Look who’s here—Brother Wei himself! And he even brought a girl! Pretty little thing too!”

Brother Wei glared and barked, “Back off! This is my girl. Watch your mouths and show some respect!”

“Got it… got it…”

The thugs winked at each other but still leered shamelessly at Huang Wei.

Huang Wei’s smile froze slightly, but she forced a polite grin and greeted them.

After hearing Brother Wei’s plan, the group immediately perked up.

“That chick survived last time? I thought she was dead—scared the hell out of me!”

“I remember her face wasn’t half bad. When Brother Wei ruined it, I actually felt it was a waste.”

“I even snipped off her braid with scissors. That hair was nice. Sold it to some old lady who buys hair for two bucks!”

“You little sneak! Hiding this from us? Hand over the money—we want snacks!”

“I already spent it! But this time, Brother Wei’s got another job for us. That chick’s got a nice body—you boys can have your fun, hehe.”

“Now that’s an idea! Been too long since we had any fun, hahahahaha!”

The thugs burst into raucous laughter, completely unrestrained. Brother Wei joined in.

Huang Wei looked disgusted, but inside, she was thrilled.

Song Kexing, no matter how arrogant you are, you’ll end up disgraced and humiliated.

Just wait and see—your end is near!

———

At this point, Song Kexing could no longer hold back. She stepped right into the courtyard.

Seeing her suddenly appear, Huang Wei, who was standing near the entrance, jumped in fright.
“Song Kexing?! What are you doing here? Y-you didn’t hear anything, did you?”

“I heard everything,” Song Kexing said as she calmly walked forward.
“I heard that you were the mastermind behind ruining my face. I also heard every sick word these pieces of trash said.”

“…You must be mistaken. I’ve never done anything to wrong you. You were the one who hit me without reason!”

As always, Huang Wei played the pitiful victim, then turned to Brother Wei and whined,
“Brother Wei, look at her! She actually came here to blame me! Isn’t that too much?”

“Ah, Weiwei, you’re just too kind. That’s why people take advantage of you,” Brother Wei said tenderly.

Then, in a heartbeat, his gaze turned vicious as he glared at Song Kexing.
“You little bitch! You’ve bullied Weiwei time and again, and now you dare come here? You’ve got guts. Boys, let’s teach her a lesson!”

He signaled with a glance, and a thug grinned as he went to shut the courtyard gate.

“Teach me a lesson?” Song Kexing sneered, her eyes cold as ice. “I’d love to see you try.”

“Oho! This little girl’s got some fire in her…”

One of the thugs reached out with a lewd grin, trying to grab her arm.

Suddenly—a flash of silver.

“AAAHHH!”

A scream tore through the air as two fingers flew clean off and landed on the ground.

The thug’s hand froze midair, still reaching.

But his index and middle fingers had been sliced off in one stroke. Blood gushed from the stumps, soaking the floor.

Everyone was stunned by the sudden burst of gore.

“My hand! My hand!” the thug wailed in agony.

He bent down, scrambling to retrieve his fingers to take them to the hospital.

But Song Kexing’s lips curled into a smile—and with a single step, she crushed them under her foot.

Ground them into mush.

“You cut my hair—I cut off your fingers. Fair trade, don’t you think?”

Her crisp yet chilling voice sent shivers down everyone’s spines, snapping them out of their daze.

Seeing his buddy wounded, Brother Wei gritted his teeth in fury.
“You little bitch, so you did come here looking for trouble! Boys, get her!”

The thugs charged at her with sticks in hand.

Song Kexing gripped her dagger tightly. Her movements were fast and precise.

In less than ten minutes, the entire gang was sprawled on the ground, each one injured and groaning.

Huang Wei had been watching like it was a joke—until now.

When she saw Song Kexing approaching her, she shrank back in the corner, terrified. She started pleading emotionally,
“Kexing… we’re friends, right? Let’s talk this out… Please don’t hit me…”

SLAP! Song Kexing’s hand cracked across her face.
“Stupid bitch, still trying to act innocent and bargain with me?”

Seeing his beloved get slapped, Brother Wei shouted from the ground,
“Don’t hit Weiwei! If you’ve got a problem, come at me!”

Song Kexing smiled.

She yanked Huang Wei by the hair and flung her onto Brother Wei.

“I’ll give you one chance: if you slash that filthy man’s face a few times, I’ll let you go.”

She tossed the dagger at Huang Wei’s feet.

Huang Wei’s pupils dilated in horror. “No… I can’t…”

“Fine,” Song Kexing squatted down, holding the dagger close to her face.
“Then I’ll slash you instead. You choose—him or you?”

Brother Wei roared, “Don’t you dare threaten Weiwei! She’s too kind to ever do what you say!”

But before he could finish—

A familiar voice rang out:
“I choose to slash him!”
