Once Luo Yunzhe signed his name, Luo Yunyan felt reassured and took the contract upstairs to wash up—she’d broken a sweat earlier.
When she came back down, the siblings sat quietly on the couch, each doing their own thing. Neither spoke, yet the atmosphere was strangely harmonious.
After their parents finished breakfast, Luo Yunyan brought over their gifts.
“Nuan Nuan, when did you go out to buy gifts?” Su Wanru asked, puzzled as she looked at the boxes.
“I didn’t—I had someone deliver them. Go ahead, open it and see if you like it.”
Luo Chenfeng’s was a jade thumb ring. Su Wanru’s was a set of blue diamond jewelry.
Su Wanru held the jewelry, absolutely delighted.
“This is beautiful! Mommy loves it. Thank you, Nuan Nuan.”
“As long as you like it. I’ll get you another set next time I see something pretty.”
Luo Yunzhe quietly muttered in his head: Four hundred million yuan—how could it not be pretty?
“This thumb ring fits perfectly. The quality is top-notch. I’ll wear it every day from now on.” Luo Chenfeng nodded in approval.
“Still, having a daughter is better. Had three sons and never got a decent gift.”
As he spoke, his eyes kept flicking toward Luo Yunzhe.
Luo Yunzhe massaged his temples.
So all those gifts I gave weren’t good enough, huh? They were all in the 7- to 8-figure range, okay? Sure, hers had an extra zero—but still…
Just then, Luo Yunxi and Luo Yanyi came downstairs. Seeing the whole family already assembled, they were surprised.
Luo Yunxi walked straight over to Luo Yunyan, placing his hands on her shoulders and staring at her in dismay.
“Nuan Nuan! It’s only 8 a.m.! How are you even awake?! Don’t pick up Big Bro’s bad early-rising habit—it’s not healthy!”
“Oh? You mean I should follow your example and sleep until noon every day?” Luo Yanyi shot him a side-eye.
“Hey, let’s not point fingers—we came down at the same time, didn’t we?”
“I stayed up doing homework. What about you?” Luo Yanyi asked blandly.
Oof. Burned. Luo Yunxi had no comeback—he was fuming!
Spotting a box on the table, he hurriedly changed the subject.
“What’s this? Why’s there a random box here?”
“Nuan Nuan’s gifts to all of us. Unlike certain people who sleep all day and haven’t even seen a gift box, let alone a gift.” Luo Chenfeng’s voice floated over lazily from behind.
Luo Yunxi froze. Damn it! Chose the wrong target again!
“Ahem, Nuan Nuan… is there one for me?” he asked with a sheepish grin, blinking at her rapidly.
Luo Yunyan chuckled.
“Of course. Everyone has one.”
She handed him his gift—it was about the size and shape of an accessory box.
He opened it and… wait a sec. It looked familiar. Wasn’t this the brooch she designed herself? One of a kind—never even worn.
So that’s why she’d never worn it—Jiang Yining must’ve grabbed it straight from her walk-in closet, not the collection vault.
“Woohoo! A Y Master original brooch?! I remember this—it was mentioned once on their official site as a non-sale collectible, only one in the world! Look at that logo—it’s gorgeous! Nuan Nuan, how’d you even get your hands on this?!”
Luo Yunyan scratched her nose.
“Oh… I collaborated with her before. She gifted it to me.”
Hey bro, maybe don’t use the phrase “get your hands on” like it’s some black-market deal, alright…
Cough cough cough.
Everyone turned to look—it was Luo Yanyi.
Looking slightly awkward, he asked, “Nuan Nuan… what about mine?”
“Over there. That entire box is yours.” She motioned with her chin toward the large box.
His eyes lit up. He rushed over and pulled out the gift labeled with his name.
It was noticeably bigger than the others.
When he opened it—what?! It was a full collection of books by his idol, math genius Professor Spencer—all personally signed!
“Thank you, Nuan Nuan!” He hugged the box of books and darted upstairs without another word.
Yep. Total bookworm. Eyes only for study.
Luo Yunyan hadn’t recognized the gift at first. Took her a second to remember—ah, right. The professor had been stumped by a problem one time, and she’d casually helped him on her way out of class.
He later insisted on gifting her this signed set.
She didn’t get it. She just helped out of kindness—besides, she wasn’t even a math major.
Tsk tsk… Every gift hit the mark exactly. At this point, it’s unclear whether she or Jiang Yining is the real Luo family member.
Then Luo Yunxi noticed two other large boxes in the corner.
“Nuan Nuan, what are these? Also gifts?”
“Mm, they’re for the old residence later.”
He squinted suspiciously.
“Can I sneak a peek?”
“If you can put it back exactly the way it was,” she said with a raised brow.
“Erm… maybe I’ll go eat breakfast first. Heh. I can wait till we get there.” Luo Yunxi laughed awkwardly and scurried off.
Once everyone was ready, they headed out.
In the garage, Luo Yunxi saw her sleek black car—and immediately started shrieking.
“Nuan Nuan—is that… the La Voiture Noire?! Can I drive it? Just once? Please?”
“Go ahead if you want. Ask Big Bro for the keys.”
Luo Yunxi looked confused.
“Huh? It’s your car. Why does Big Bro have the keys?!”
Luo Yunzhe tossed him the key.
“Because I drove it back yesterday.”
Since Luo Chenfeng planned to drive himself, Luo Yunzhe took the front passenger seat, while Su Wanru and Luo Yunyan sat in the back.
That left Luo Yunxi and Luo Yanyi staring at each other.
Finally, Luo Yunxi yanked him over.
“Tch, lucky you. You get to experience your bro’s driving skills today.”
“…I think I could probably squeeze into the back.” Luo Yanyi tried to protest.
“Squeeze where? Try it and watch Mom boot you out of the car on the spot.”
Realizing he had no choice, Luo Yanyi resigned himself to the passenger seat.
Luo Yunxi patted the steering wheel and posted to his private friend circle:
[Who else but me gets to be the first in the capital to drive this car?!]
His private feed only included close friends and fellow rich kids, so technically this wasn’t flaunting—just… humble bragging.
Heh. He was a genius.
As expected, the post immediately drew a wave of envy and flattery.
Chu Moxuan even called him on video. Luo Yunxi saw the caller ID and passed the phone to Luo Yanyi.
“Xiao Yi? Why is it you? Where’s that second son of the Luo family?”
Luo Yanyi sighed and turned the camera.
“He’s driving, Brother Xuan.”
When Chu Moxuan saw the car interior—and the iconic logo on the wheel—he completely lost it.
“No way! Luo Yunxi! You actually got to drive it?!”
Though the Chu family wasn’t as powerful as the Luo family, Chu Moxuan’s aunt was married into the Luo family, so they’d all grown up together and spoke casually.
Luo Yunxi glanced sideways.
“Of course. Honestly though, it’s not that different from what we usually drive. Four wheels, two doors.”
“You’re seriously flexing now? I saw that car yesterday too—how do you even know the owner? Introduce me! Let me touch it once!”
“Ha, the car belongs to our Nuan Nuan. I’ll ask her later.”
At the mention of “Nuan Nuan,” Chu Moxuan blinked, stunned.
Wait… wasn’t that the little white dumpling the Luo family just announced? The one who turned out to be the boss of Pluto? And now also connected to Tinglanyuan?
Tsk. He remembered her from when they were kids—soft and cuddly. He’d gotten punched by all four Luo brothers just for getting her to call him “gege.”
And little Fifth Brother Luo Yunjin? Couldn’t even walk yet, and peed on him on the spot!
After she disappeared, his aunt had gone home crying and begged their grandfather to send people to search.
Snapping out of it, he said,
“Old Second, when are you bringing our sister out to meet the crew?”
“Buzz off! She’s my sister. We’re on the way to the old estate. I’ll let you know when I’ve got time. Bye.” Luo Yunxi hung up, throwing exaggerated glances at Luo Yanyi.
The two brothers had an unspoken bond when it came to their sister.
Left alone, Chu Moxuan flopped on the sofa, clutching his phone and wailing.
He still made time to comment on Luo Yunxi’s post though:
[Tch. First-class sister-leech.]

Downstairs, Gu Shilin came into the living room and saw a large, squirming lifeform on the couch.
“…What the hell is wrong with you?”
Startled by the voice, Chu Moxuan sprang up.
“Bro, remember that La Voiture Noire we saw yesterday morning coming from across the street?”
“The one from the opposite villa?”
“Yeah. Guess who it belongs to?”
Gu Shilin sat down, not even glancing at him.
“Not you.”
“I know that! It belongs to the Luo family’s white dumpling—wait, no, the young miss who just came back! That one!”
Gu Shilin raised an eyebrow, but said nothing.
Chu Moxuan kept rambling.
“What do you think she’s been doing all these years? She’s only 19 and she’s already the hidden boss of Pluto! She’s probably connected to Tinglanyuan too! And she owns my dream car! How do I dream about her tonight—what direction should I face?!”
Luo family’s eldest daughter, huh? He recalled a cotton-candy-soft girl from years ago when picking up Luo Yunzhe from school—and the hot search from last night.
She’d gotten skinnier, but still cute.
