Chacha stopped writing, and before she could ask any question, the invigilator said, “Someone is looking for you. Stop for a moment.”
She glanced outside and nodded. “Okay.”
Chacha put down her pen, stood up and headed towards the door.
The invigilator picked up her test paper, then walked to the podium, and examined it.
When Chacha arrived outside, she first greeted the man wearing glasses, “Hello, teacher.”
After that, she asked, “What do you want to see me for?”
The face of Class 1’s homeroom teacher remained serious as he said, “Yao Yiyi said you instigated her to accuse Ning An of cheating on the exam. Is it true?”
“What?” Chacha’s eyebrows rose up slightly, looking surprised. She turned to Yao Yiyi with a wronged expression, as if asking her why she was making things out of thin air, and then she smiled self-deprecatingly. “Sorry, teacher, I can’t admit this kind of thing because I have never done it at all. I have no idea why Yao Yiyi said it was me with no evidence. She’s the one who framed Ning An, and now that she’s been caught, is it okay for her to throw dirty water on anyone?”
Chacha’s voice became more and more upset as she spoke, loud enough that everyone inside the room could hear it.
The students were originally curious, and when they heard her words, they all held their breath and stretched their ears to eavesdrop.
The student by the window opened it wider.
“It’s clearly you who called me to the cafe yesterday and told me to do it!” Yao Yiyi immediately started yelling when she heard Chen Cha actually deny everything.
Afraid of being sprayed by Yao Yiyi’s spittle, Chacha took two steps back and moved closer to the window. With a look of disbelief and sadness, she said, “I don’t know why you’re targeting me. Is it because the boy you like doesn’t like you back and is closer to me instead? You misunderstood. We just share the same hobby so we’re discussing it together. Or is it because you dislike living in the school dormitory because there are too many people, but I didn’t agree for you to live in my apartment? Sorry, I really don’t like living with others, that’s why I rejected you. Or is it because you want my clothes, but I didn’t give them to you, so you’re angry? Or is it because we’ve been going dutch a lot lately when eating out? I really can’t do anything about it. Although I’m richer than you, money isn’t inexhaustible. I can’t keep treating you to meals. Just because of these little things, you get angry and try to drag me into trouble. Have you ever considered me a friend?”
“You—, you—, you—!”
The more Chacha speak, the more Yao Yiyi’s face turned redder. After all, many of the things she said were true. She had forgotten about framing Ning An. She was already thinking about what kind of shameless person her schoolmates would think she was. This was a matter of face, so she couldn’t accept it.
Yao Yiyi pointed her finger at Chen Cha’s face while she kept saying ‘you’ for a long time.
The class teacher looked at the students inside the classroom and quickly told the two, “That’s enough. We’re talking about the matter of cheating. Don’t bring up other topics.”
“This isn’t considered another topic, is it?” Chacha also looked offended. Her face turned cold as she said, “I was doing well in my exams, but you suddenly showed up and slandered me. The point is, forget about slandering me, she didn’t even give any credible evidence. You just relied on Yao Yiyi’s words. As the person involved, she can point to whoever and say that they instigated her. What about me? Can I only let her implicate me even if I’m innocent? Aren’t I allowed to ask her a few questions?”
“You b*tch!” Yao Yiyi was so angry that she lost her mind. She stepped forward and tried to grabbed Chen Cha’s hair and was even about to hit her.
Gasps and exclamations came from the classroom.
The class teacher was about to say that Chen Cha’s words were quite believable, but he didn’t expect Yao Yiyi to take action. At this moment, he no longer cared about the cheating issue and quickly grabbed Yao Yiyi who was about to commit violence.
Pulling Yao Yiyi aside, he was unable to control his anger and scolded, “You dare lift your hand in front of me? What do you think the school rules are for, huh? If I’m not here, would you even dare to kill someone?”
“It’s none of your business!” Yao Yiyi was furious and scolded him back regardless of who he was.
“Teacher, can I go back and continue the exam?” Chacha interrupted at the appropriate time.
“Go.” The class teacher of Class 1 waved his hand and let Chacha go, then continued to lecture Yao Yiyi.
Chacha entered the classroom, sat down and straightened her messed up hair. She could still hear the voice of the class teacher outside lecturing Yao Yiyi.
As she was fixing her hair, she found that her test paper was missing. She looked up and saw the invigilator beckoning and calling her over.
Chacha walked up and the invigilator returned the test paper to her, saying, “Don’t worry about anything else, just concentrate on the exam.”
“En, yes, Teacher.” Chacha responded politely, took her paper back and returned to her seat to continue writing.
Her attitude was still calm.
The invigilator appreciated this student.
He was just idly looking at the test paper of this calm-looking and decisive student, but didn’t expect that the content was very good. Even if he didn’t read her answers, it was still pleasing to the eye as her handwriting was neat and had a bid of a sharp edge to it.
Her answers were also beautifully written, without any redundant or missing parts.
The other students, on the other hand, looked at Chen Cha a few times and had to say that her appearance was really amazing.
When other people’s hair was messy, it’s sloppy. When Chen Cha’s hair was messy, it’s messily beautiful.
Fate was truly unfair.
But the fair part about fate was that she made terrible friends.
Yao Yiyi was the one seeking death but she wanted to drag Chen Cha down with her.
They could guess that Yao Yiyi didn’t regard Chen Cha as a friend at all, but she just kept clinging to Chen Cha in order to use her as an ATM.
Outside the classroom, Yao Yiyi seemed like she couldn’t stand the nagging of her class teacher. After scolding him back once again, she turned around and left.
The class teacher went after her, still talking about something, but people inside the classroom could no longer hear the rest of his words.
This part of the plot wasn’t much different from what Chacha thought it would be.
In the original work, Ning An was framed in this way, but because she liked reading comprehension questions, she decided to do them first, thus exposing Yao Yiyi.
The difference was that after Yao Yiyi confessed that it was Chen Cha who made her do it, Chen Cha was so angry that she directly scolded Yao Yiyi, confirming her identity as the mastermind behind the scenes.
Yao Yiyi was unhappy at being scolded and scolded Chen Cha back.
Then the two plastic sisters immediately started fighting and received demerits together.
And as a result, Chen Cha’s reputation became even worse.
Before, only the third year students knew about Chen Cha’s arrogance. But after this incident, almost the entire school knew that she’s a very scheming and black-hearted girl.
Chacha would certainly not follow that path, and since she had reached the plot point where she had broken ties with Yao Yiyi, there was no need to play plastic sisterhood with her anymore.
After Chacha finished the test paper and handed it in early, she went to a mini-mart to buy ice cream and walked out of school while eating.
