The emergency response plan for the apocalypse refers to the major global disasters that could threaten the world.
The United Nations will abandon national boundaries and establish the Doomsday Alliance, with all instructions coming from the Doomsday Alliance.
It had been nearly ten hours since the hurricane disaster began, and the establishment of the alliance confirmed that this was indeed a global catastrophe.
But binding a safehouse and actively supplying research to receive additional subsidies?
Su Xiao certainly hadn’t considered that.
Because once the safehouse was bound, it would only release upon the survivor’s death.
Once it was handed over, would there still be a chance of survival?
She wasn’t about to be a guinea pig.
Just as she thought that, someone from the company group @’d her.
It was Yang Haiyi.
Yang Haiyi: “@Su Xiao, you have a safehouse, right? I’ve seen it. Now the alliance is asking for donations of safehouse research. You’re not going to be selfish, are you?”
Su Xiao: …
How could this person speak so closely? How is he still alive?!
Wen Ming: “Now that everyone is safe, Mr. Wang just said that we don’t need to work for now. Consider it a holiday.”
Su Xiao felt a bit speechless.
Her company really was full of oddballs, each one so strange. Given the situation, was it really the time for the company to be talking about not working? The office building must have collapsed by now!
Yang Haiyi: “@Wen Ming, Brother Wen has a safehouse. It should be handed over to the alliance.”
Wen Ming: “The safehouse was bound by Mr. Wang. Let’s see what Mr. Wang decides.”
Don’t ask why.
As soon as he opened the door to welcome Mr. Wang, the binding time was refreshed, and out of instinct, he invited Mr. Wang in first. So, it was Mr. Wang’s turn to bind, which meant he couldn’t bind it himself.
As for Mr. Wang, he didn’t even know where Mr. Wang was.
After the disaster ended, as soon as he came out, both Mr. Wang and the safehouse disappeared.
Su Xiao found this amusing.
But as she continued reading, Su Xiao noticed something was off. Besides that one notice, no one seemed to mention any other information.
They didn’t know how long the disaster would last, nor did they understand what an absolute safety event was. They didn’t even realize that new disasters might strike in two hours.
Most importantly, from the group chat messages, it seemed they were unaware that natural resources had an expiration date, still posting messages looking for food.
This meant that only survivors who had bound safehouses could see the expiration time.
This information made Su Xiao realize something was wrong, and an uneasy feeling began to stir within her.
She stopped looking at her phone and started moving the underground safehouse around to various places.
However, it was clear that the survivors with safehouses had already learned to search for treasure chests.
After nearly two hours, she had found one red treasure chest, one blue treasure chest, and two white treasure chests.
Su Xiao felt that her finds might be among the best in the survivor group.
After all, her underground safehouse didn’t need power to continue moving; it only required oxygen exchange.
Looking at the time, there were only ten minutes left before 8 PM. The sky suddenly darkened, and Su Xiao expected that Xiao Mo would issue a new notification. So, she decided to hide in the underground safehouse to check her haul for the day.
It turned out that chests could be stored in the warehouse’s capacity. As long as Su Xiao didn’t open the chests, their color could stack.
So, there was no rush to open the white treasure chests in her warehouse—they were all food.
The blue treasure chest contained items, but she didn’t know what would come out of it, so she wasn’t in a hurry.
The red treasure chest was for weapons, but she already had one, so it could be temporarily set aside.
Her primary goal was to find a way to obtain iron ingots and wooden planks.
After thinking for a moment, Su Xiao casually opened a bread and took a bite while opening the survivor exchange center. As soon as she opened it, several messages popped up: one from Turtle Immortal and another from a player asking for an oxygen tank.
Turtle Immortal: “Alright, let me share some information with you. Actually, I have a red chest Easter egg. The weapons I get from red chests are doubled. If you’re willing, you can give me the red treasure chests you find, and I’ll open them. But I need you to craft a weapon station and help me combine two-level weapons.”
Su Xiao’s eyes lit up.
A red chest Easter egg.
This person was quite lucky!
Of course, Su Xiao didn’t think this was a lie.
Because double rewards only required the other person to advance an equal amount of items to her, and after opening the chest, she would give the remaining items back to the other person. This was foolproof.
With this Easter egg, Turtle Immortal would have many people willing to cooperate with him if he mentioned it.
After a brief thought, Su Xiao replied: “Sure, I have a white treasure chest Easter egg. If you find a white treasure chest, you can give it to me, and I’ll open it for you. But without any special exchange conditions, I may need to take some end-of-days resources as a processing fee. Of course, you can also choose to open them yourself. Also, my weapon station is not made yet because I haven’t found a way to obtain iron ingots and wooden planks. If you help me craft the weapon station, I’d consider long-term cooperation.”
After replying to Turtle Immortal, Su Xiao checked another message.
Owner 2934734: “Okay, I promise you. Three days will be enough.”
Owner 2934734: “The adult can wait, but the child can’t. The child is sick and needs to eat something. If you’re available, it would be a great help.”
The last message was from an hour ago.
Su Xiao thought for a moment and replied: “Alright.”
The next second, a message came through: “Thank you. I really have no other options. The safehouse needs power to stay operational, but I don’t have any supplies for that. The safehouse is stuck in a deserted area, and there’s no one at the exchange center to trade. My child has a fever and is sick, and I can’t leave them. I can’t go out to gather resources.”
Although Su Xiao wasn’t sure if the other person was telling the truth or not, as soon as they mentioned a child, she began looking through her supplies.
She sent six bottles of milk to help the child regain strength and four bottles of mineral water for the adult, followed by some shelf-stable foods like cakes, chocolate pies, and other similar items. Afterward, she received an oxygen tank.
【Oxygen Tank】
【Description: Contains 1 unit of oxygen. In some safehouses, this can extend stored oxygen by 1 hour.
(Note: The stored oxygen duration will only be consumed after the base oxygen is depleted and the survivor hasn’t left the safehouse for oxygen exchange. If the survivor leaves to exchange oxygen, the stored oxygen stops depleting, and the base oxygen is consumed first.)】
I see.
There’s no need to keep this then.
Su Xiao immediately used it.
The information for the underground safehouse updated:
【Level 1 Safehouse (Owned by: Su Xiao)】
【Space: 8/10 (End-of-days resources: 6 bottles of mineral water, 4 cans of cola, 2 bottles of white peach soda, 2 bottles of milk, 4 strawberry cakes, 4 bags of chips, 2 Swiss rolls, 4 chocolate bars)】
【Warehouse: 4/10 (2 red treasure chests, 1 blue treasure chest, 2 white treasure chests, 1 level 1 fire axe)】
【Oxygen duration: 23h 55min 21s (Stored oxygen duration: 1h)】
【Indoor temperature: 23°C】
The fire axe was placed in the warehouse for easy access.
The food looked like it could last for a few more days even after the 7-day expiration, providing a sense of security—though not much.
As she prepared to check the survivor messages in the exchange center, it was already 8 PM, and a new notification arrived.
