Twin Omegas Swap Lives!
Twin Omegas Swap Lives! | Chapter 51

After the initial shyness wore off, Chen Nian gradually opened up and started chatting with Antonio. Antonio was Shavri’s close friend, and he had even talked with Chen Nian at the banquet before. This time, their conversation felt much more relaxed, as if he truly regarded Chen Nian as a friend.

However, Shavri, listening in, felt something was off. Now that he understood Chen Nian’s true nature and how well he could act, he could see through the boy’s various facades. Chen Nian was deliberately putting on a shy and delicate act in front of Antonio, as if he were truly a prince consort raised in seclusion for eighteen years, rarely interacting with others.

But Antonio had no idea that Chen Nian was just pretending. When their eyes met, the way the boy quickly averted his gaze struck a chord in Antonio’s heart, making him even more certain that “Chen Ci” was not living a happy life. Chen Ci needed someone to gently guide him, care for him, and help him connect with the outside world. That person had to be attentive and gentle, not like his clueless wooden friend who brought him to such boring classes and only focused on himself, completely ignoring the other person.

Since Shavri couldn’t do it, it wouldn’t be too much for him to help out a bit, right?

The ten-minute journey passed amidst Antonio’s pity, Chen Nian’s suppressed laughter, and Shavri’s silent stomachache.

Finally arriving at the training ground, Shavri immediately opened the car door beside him, eager to escape the suffocating atmosphere. Chen Nian initially wanted to get out from the other side but was gently tapped on the arm by Shavri. Understanding the hint, he shifted his body to exit from the side Shavri had opened. The Alpha politely held his wrist, and for a brief moment, they were very close to each other.

Shavri was about to take this opportunity to whisper something to Chen Nian. Just as he opened his mouth, Chen Nian, knowing what Shavri was thinking, raised a finger and placed it near the Alpha’s lips, signaling him to keep quiet.

Chen Nian’s index finger pressed against his lips with a bit of force, effectively blocking all of Shavri’s words. Shavri didn’t miss the fleeting look of restraint and teasing in the boy’s eyes; he froze for a moment, and the chaotic heart in his chest suddenly calmed down inexplicably.

Meanwhile, Antonio, who had gotten out of the front seat, was completely unaware of all this. Chen Nian lowered his gaze, his thick lashes casting shadows over his eyes, and once again resumed the image of a docile little animal.

The three of them walked into the training ground together. Just as Shavri had said, their training was alongside military academy students. The moment Chen Nian stepped onto the field, he was overwhelmed by a flood of Alpha pheromones.

The young military students were sweating profusely, their unique scents mingling together in a chaotic blend. For Chen Nian, who was an Omega, it felt like a cold wind blowing into a warm bed, instantly waking him up. …And he was clearly getting excited.

But before he could take in more, the rich aroma of sherry wine invaded his nostrils, and the Alpha’s scent next to him enveloped him tightly, blocking out all other smells.

Chen Nian: ………

Alright, although it’s a bit disappointing, this isn’t too bad either.

Shavri had no other intentions; the Alpha pheromones were just too strong, and he was worried that Chen Nian might be affected and cause some unexpected incident. Not to mention that now Chen Nian was using Chen Ci’s identity to protect his fiancée in front of everyone, it was something he should do.

Chen Nian’s appearance was like a drop of water falling into hot oil, instantly causing a huge stir. The training ground was filled with young, strong military students who were usually under strict management and had few opportunities to interact with Omegas. Now, seeing the boy following Shavri, they couldn’t take their eyes off him.

Chen Nian seemed startled by the excited cheers, moving even closer to Shavri’s side. Little did he know, this action immediately sparked a wave of enthusiastic cheers.

The combination of Shavri and Chen Nian was simply too eye-catching; even passing ants would have to say they were a match made in heaven!

Chen Nian could clearly feel the slight fluctuations of Shavri’s pheromones and couldn’t help but chuckle inwardly, not expecting the Crown Prince to be a bit shy.

The instructor in charge of the training came over, naturally not expecting the esteemed prince consort to appear here. Shavri explained, “He wanted to come and take a look.”

Chen Nian, with just the right amount of timidity in his eyes, added, “I’m just watching from the side; I won’t interfere with everyone’s training.”

Any Alpha in front of this demeanor would find it hard to say anything harsh, and the instructor was no exception. He naturally took it as a royal family member coming to inspect the work, after all, this was the prince consort who had always been raised in the White Tower and never went out, so there was no reason for him to suddenly show up at the training ground.

No, perhaps the prince consort was specifically here to watch His Highness Shavri train?

The instructor immediately arranged for students to bring over a sunshade. Whether the prince consort was here to inspect or to watch the Crown Prince train, he certainly couldn’t let someone sit under the blazing sun.

“Thank you.” Chen Nian smiled gratefully at the instructor and the military students who brought the sunshade. He sat in the shade, watching the Alphas train.

Shavri went to the changing room to put on his training gear, and when he came out, he was dressed in dark athletic wear. The Alpha had broad shoulders, and the fitted inner lining was tucked into his belt, outlining his slim waist and abdominal lines, while his long legs in dark pants were strong and powerful.

The dark military boots were shiny, with thick soles that made one unable to help but imagine what it would look like when they crushed something with force.

Antonio also looked strikingly handsome, his slightly long brown hair tied back, giving off a completely different aura of competence than usual.

Chen Nian politely admired the beauty in front of him. To be fair, perhaps because they had spent more time together, he found Shavri more pleasing to the eye.

Shavri glanced over at Chen Nian and, seeing him sitting there just fine, no longer worried too much.

Shavri lay down on the ground, set up a sniper rifle, and began his focused training.

Without any bias, Shavri was indeed the most outstanding among the many Alphas Chen Nian had seen since arriving at the top level. He was at the best age, had the most distinguished family background, and was handsome enough to make it hard to look away. He was low-key in his dealings with others, had a great temper, and was easy to talk to, with none of the bad habits of a rich kid.

Although he could be a bit silly at times, his flaws were overshadowed by his virtues. The best Alpha matched with his best brother; Chen Nian thought it was perfect.

With each loud gunshot, the Alpha’s body shook from the recoil, his solid muscles straining against the thin fabric.

Shavri didn’t have the kind of muscles that were deliberately built for fitness; all his lines came from high-intensity physical training, naturally formed with excellent endurance and explosive power.

Targets hundreds or even thousands of meters away were hit one after another, and after dozens of shots, not a single one missed.

Chen Nian watched Shavri’s figure and suddenly felt a bit strange. Was this really the husband he had been thinking about, the gaming nerd?

Chen Nian’s presence greatly stimulated the potential of the Alphas; everyone in this training session performed exceptionally well. Who wouldn’t want to show off in front of the prince consort?

The instructor was delighted; if these guys could perform at such a high level every day, there would be no need to exhaust themselves with increased training loads.

During the break, Shavri brushed off the grass and sand from his clothes and walked over to Chen Nian.

Chen Nian timely handed him a bottle of water. When Shavri twisted the cap, he realized it had already been opened.

This was the first time Shavri received Chen Nian’s kindness so directly, and he was a bit taken aback.

He drank about half the bottle and wiped the sweat off his body with a towel.

The sweat clung to the Alpha’s body, glistening under the sunlight, making his physique look even more fit.

Due to his genetics, no matter how much Shavri tanned, he wouldn’t turn brown; at most, he would get a bit red, and once in the shade, it would quickly fade.

“Is it fun?” Chen Nian asked.

Shavri sensed the underlying meaning behind his words: “Want to give it a try?”

Chen Nian nodded, “Is that okay?”

“Sure.” Shavri sat down next to him, “I’ll rest for a couple of minutes.”

Shavri was all warm, and the sweet scent of sherry wine wafted out, making Chen Nian unable to resist tightening the collar of his neck ring.

He was indeed quite resistant to Alpha pheromones, but Shavri was the top Alpha, and the scent was still his favorite wine aroma.

After resting for ten minutes, Shavri stood up again, “Come.”

Chen Nian immediately got up with anticipation, taking off his outer jacket to reveal a white cotton shirt underneath.

He followed Shavri to the shooting range, knowing that with Chen Nian’s personality, he wouldn’t care about getting his clothes dirty. Shavri guided him to lie down in the proper position.

Chen Nian pressed his hips and legs tightly against the ground, his arms supporting his chest and abdomen, creating a beautiful curve in his spine. Perhaps because his lower back was arched, the thin pants wrapped around his hips made them look even perkier.

His hands touched the cold sniper rifle as he tried to squint one eye and look through the scope.

Hmm, it was a bit tiring.

Relying solely on verbal instructions for the movements was naturally not very effective. Shavri crouched down and personally helped Chen Nian adjust his position.

His palm was warm, and even through the layer of fabric, Chen Nian could clearly feel the heat.

Since it was Chen Nian’s first time handling such a weapon, it was a bit challenging. After several minutes, he still couldn’t get the position right, and he clicked his tongue in frustration.

Seeing this, Shavri softly asked, “Can I help you directly?”

“Okay.”

With permission granted, Shavri lay down next to Chen Nian, adopting a standard teaching posture, his arm wrapping around the boy’s shoulder.

This position was very much like holding Chen Nian in his arms.

Chen Nian was instantly surrounded by the scent of sherry wine pheromones.

For a moment, he couldn’t help but feel a bit dazed.

Shavri was very careful, maintaining a particularly awkward position above Chen Nian to minimize contact with his body.

He adjusted Chen Nian’s posture and quietly instructed the boy to place his hand on the trigger.

Chen Nian had never realized that Shavri’s voice could be so deep, vibrating closely in his ear, the airflow brushing against the strands of hair at his temples, causing a slight tickle.

“Keep the position steady, don’t move. Yes, look at the scope, your eyes should be about two centimeters away, don’t cover it completely.”

“Now aim, just aim as you think. If you feel it’s good, hold your breath and pull the trigger.”

The Alpha’s voice seemed to drown out the sound of his heartbeat, the wind blowing away the increasing heat on his body, which might affect his aiming accuracy.

His hands were sweating, and the knuckles resting on the trigger were slightly slippery. Even though he hadn’t touched it, the heat from Shavri seemed to steam Chen Nian, causing beads of sweat to form on his back and forehead.

His heartbeat quickened, making that moment of stillness even harder to find. Chen Nian held his breath, but even so, it felt like he couldn’t escape the scent of sherry wine.

In the high-powered scope, even the slightest tremor could cause the reticle to shift dramatically. Chen Nian exerted all his effort to control the force; the rifle was heavy, and moving it required extremely precise control.

His mental energy unconsciously radiated out, sensing the wind direction, force, target, and reticle.

The world in the small lens seemed to become clearer.

Chen Nian pulled the trigger.

Bang——

In the loud noise, the recoil jolted him hard.

Chen Nian didn’t expect the force to be so exaggerated; his back slammed against Shavri’s chest, and Shavri’s taut pectoral muscles acted like a soft yet firm cushion, stabilizing Chen Nian’s out-of-control form.

The extensive contact made them acutely aware of each other’s temperature, and even their heartbeats seemed to overlap for a moment.

Shavri immediately stood up, a bit flustered, while Chen Nian fell to the side, supporting himself with his hands, thin grass poking through his fingers.

Chen Nian lifted his gaze, meeting Shavri’s violet eyes—

Trying to maintain his composure.

The Omega boy struggled to move his numbed arms, slowly getting up to cover up the rare moment of losing his cool.

His gaze swept over Shavri’s broad chest, then shifted to the distant target, and he softly murmured to himself:

“Not bad.”
