Chapter 37: Make That Little Bastard Kneel

Su Ai was not someone who liked to avoid conflict; she naturally couldn’t teach her child to back down.

Being able to teach her child not to start trouble was already her biggest concession.

Lele was helping Su Ai cook when a large group of adults and children arrived.

A bald man at the head, carrying Goudan, kicked open the door to Su Ai’s house.

Su Ai had just come out of the kitchen, a kitchen knife in her hand.

“Su Ai!!”

The boisterous voice suddenly changed its tone when it saw the knife.

Su Ai held the knife in one hand and looked at the crowd at the door with the other.

“Zhang Datou, are you sick?”

Zhang Datou was immediately angry: “Su Ai!”

“What’s wrong with your son? He beat my son up with a stick!”

“It’s one thing for him to beat him himself, but he also got other kids to help. Are you sick?”

“Like father, like son. A hooligan’s child isn’t a decent person!”

Before anyone else could say anything, Zhang Datou started cursing.

Could he be intimidated by Su Ai, a woman?

“You bullied someone, and now you’re holding a knife? So what if you’re holding a knife?”

“Do you think you’re something special?”

“Do you dare to cut someone with that knife?”

“Try it, move it, try it! Come on!”

“Damn it, you two dogs!”

“I’m telling you, I’m not done with you for beating my son today!”

“If you don’t pay me several tens of yuan in medical expenses, I won’t let this go.”

“Make that little bastard kneel down…”

Su Ai swung the knife, slashing a large gash on his arm.

Blood instantly flowed onto the ground.

Everyone was stunned.

“Aaah!”

Someone screamed and backed away with their child.

Zhang Datou’s face was contorted in pain; he finally covered his arm.

“Su Ai!! You bitch, you really dare to do it?”

“Mm.”

“Dare to do it, dare to cut.”

“What’s wrong?”

“Want to try again?”

Su Ai then kicked him to the ground.

Zhang Datou didn’t even react.

In the village, people usually just cursed at each other; they didn’t actually fight.

They just cursed and that was it.

Who would have thought Su Ai would immediately use a knife and beat someone up?

When Zhang Datou reacted, he tried to get up, but Su Ai’s legs firmly pinned him down.

Then a left hook!

Bang!

Zhang Datou’s head buzzed.

A right hook!

“Su Ai! You bitch!”

“You still have the energy to curse!”

“Looks like I hit you too lightly.”

Seeing his mother fighting, Ji Lele was anxious, afraid his mother would lose.

His eyes finally fell on a fire poker leaning against the kitchen door.

He grabbed it.

How much strength could a child have?

Ji Lele poked the fire poker at Zhang Datou’s buttocks.

“Aaah!!!”

A deafening scream.

Zhang Datou jumped up violently, using incredible force to push Su Ai away.

Su Ai stumbled back two steps. Zhang Datou’s bloodshot eyes glared at Su Ai and the “little bastard.”

But he didn’t move again, clutching his buttocks.

He was finally a little scared by the ruthlessness of the mother and son.

Su Ai was a tough person; even a woman, he was a little scared, especially since he had already suffered a loss.

Many people secretly took a few steps back, their faces pale.

Hiss…

That looked painful.

Goudan limped over to stand beside his father.

“Dad, are you okay?”

Seeing his useless son and Ji Lele holding a fire poker, Zhang Datou’s anger flared.

That shorty knew to help; was his son dead?

He slapped Goudan on the head.

“You bastard, you don’t even know how to help in a fight. What good are you?”

Goudan hadn’t expected to be beaten up and then beaten again by his own father after coming to seek justice. He burst into tears.

How pitiful!

At this moment, Ji Yang, hopping on one leg, also jumped out of the house.

When he heard the commotion outside, Ji Yang quickly got out of bed.

He was just slow because he wasn’t very mobile.

Even so, he was sweating profusely when he came out.

“Su Ai, Lele, are you alright?”

As soon as he came out, he saw Zhang Datou’s bleeding arm and bruised behind, and many people standing at the door.

When Su Ai saw Ji Yang come out, she quickly brought him a stool.

“Why did you come out?”

“It’s okay, I can handle this.”

Ji Yang didn’t go back; he sat down on the stool.

“I’m not worried.”

He was the man of the house; how could he leave his wife and child hiding in the house at this time? Even if his leg was broken, or even if he was dying, he would still crawl out.

Zhang Datou, who hadn’t dared to speak, saw the always easy-going Ji Yang and finally spoke.

He spoke to Ji Yang, not Su Ai.

“Doctor Ji, look at the injuries on my son Goudan.”

“They were all inflicted by Ji Lele.”

“Children playing should have some sense of proportion, right?”

“This is practically beating the child to death!”

“Whose child isn’t a precious treasure? Why can your child treat my child like this?”

“I came to ask you what happened and seek justice, but Su Ai didn’t say a word, she just came up and slashed me with a knife and beat me to the ground.”

“Doctor Ji, sometimes I feel sorry for you. You’re a high school graduate, you know medicine, how did you marry such a hooligan wife and have such a mischievous child who takes after his mother?”

Zhang Datou went on and on, but he didn’t see Ji Yang’s darkening expression.

“Finished?”

Zhang Datou finally realized the atmosphere was wrong.

“Fin……finished.”

“Then you should be glad I can’t walk properly; otherwise, you wouldn’t just get a beating today.”

“Huh?” Zhang Datou was incredulous. When did Doctor Ji start siding with Su Ai?

“Also, what my wife and child do is none of your business!”

“Have you dealt with your own mess?  Then you come to other people’s houses to lecture?”

“What are you?”  When Ji Yang finished speaking, the people around burst into laughter.

Everyone knew Zhang Datou liked to beat his wife, and now his wife had run away and hadn’t been found yet.

Rumors were flying around the village, saying Zhang Datou’s wife had been taken away by a rich man.

“You!! You!!” Zhang Datou was furious.

“No matter what, Lele beat Goudan badly; he didn’t just beat him alone, he got others to help. This is a fact. Today, no matter what you say, you have to give me an explanation!”

“Otherwise, I’ll go to the police station, and I won’t let you off easily!”

Su Ai was also amused; her gentle husband could be so sharp-tongued.

“If you want justice, speak properly.”

Ji Yang looked at Ji Lele.

Ji Lele walked over.

Ji Yang’s expression softened; he ruffled his son’s hair, making sure he wasn’t scared, before saying softly: “Dad believes you wouldn’t hit someone for no reason. Tell everyone why you hit Goudan.”

“Did you get other children to help?”

Zhang Datou had come to curse and beat them; Ji Lele felt wronged.

The child’s eyes immediately reddened.

“Goudan bullied me first.”

“He stole my candy and cursed me…”

Ji Lele clearly recounted what happened, word for word.

“I couldn’t beat him, so I asked everyone to help me get my candy back.”

“So, Dabing and the others helped me get my candy back.”

“But Goudan cursed me again and said my mom was going to run away with someone.”

“I was angry, and when Goudan fell, I beat him with a stick.”

“Dabing and the others didn’t hit Goudan; I did. Everyone just couldn’t stand Goudan bullying me and helped me get my things back.”

“I didn’t do anything wrong; he cursed me first and bullied me.”

Ji Lele clearly explained the situation and exonerated the other children.

The parents Zhang Datou had brought over, hearing that this was in their favor, started chattering.

“Zhang Datou, listen to what your son said.”

“At such a young age, he has such a foul mouth.  Even if I heard him, I would beat him up.”

“You heard it clearly, Zhang Datou. Lele said my son didn’t hit Goudan at all. Your son stole his candy first. He just couldn’t bear to see your son, such a grown-up, bullying littLele Le and helped get the candy back.”

“If I were you, I’d be ashamed to even lift my head.  How dare you come here seeking justice?”

“What justice?”
