Shocking! The Villainous Wife’s Husband Turns Out to Be the Capital’s Young Master Chapter 12

Chapter 12:  Bad Luck for Beating Your Wife!

Cheng Wang snorted coldly, looking at her like she was an idiot.

“Instead of saying that to Third Brother, you should beg me not to kill you.”

“Alright.” Wei Ting stopped the two of them. He gestured to the coat on the other side of the sofa. “Put on your coat and leave.”

Jin Zhao didn’t expect it to be so easy to escape; she should have cursed more earlier.

Wei Ting saw her not moving. “Are you planning some other activity here?”

Jin Zhao was quick-witted and immediately jumped off him, hugging the coat and cautiously returning to Wei Ting’s side.

“Let’s go.”

Wei Ting looked down at Xu Shuli, who hadn’t spoken. “Did you drink?”

“Just a little.”

Wei Ting frowned. “Let Cheng Wang send you back.”

Although betrayed, the still “innocent” Jin Zhao tugged at Wei Ting’s sleeve and whispered, “Why don’t we let Gu Jue send her back…”

She felt Cheng Wang would either get into an accident or go crazy and secretly kill and dispose of Xu Shuli.

Gu Jue looked resentful. “Do you think I haven’t suffered enough tonight?”

“Mind your own business.” Wei Ting looked down at her.

“Oh.” Jin Zhao’s voice was aggrieved. “Yes, sir~”

Jin Zhao dared not complain; being spared was already a miracle.

As they were leaving, Wei Ting turned to look at the two people packing up; the awkward atmosphere was obvious.

“Husband, do you want to take the Go game back to play?” Jin Zhao poked her head out from under his shoulder.

Dominating CEOs play chess and Go every day; they probably haven’t played Go.

…This doesn’t count as a person.

Wei Ting’s gaze fell on Cheng Wang. “You should also control your temper. Drive carefully.”

Jin Zhao felt better hearing Wei Ting “scold” Cheng Wang than scolding him herself.

She narrowed her eyes and made a face at Cheng Wang.

Hmph, one day you’ll call me sister-in-law.

When they went out together, Xu Shuli was surprised to see the car Wei Ting was driving. Even though she was being watched closely, she still spoke.

“Brother, didn’t you just get a limited edition Rolls-Royce? Why are you driving this Bentley now?”

She suspected their family’s assets had shrunk.

Wei Ting glanced at Jin Zhao.

“Do you have anything to say?”

Jin Zhao looked up at the sky. “ˉεˉ Who told you to drive it out on Valentine’s Day?”

She had excellent taste; it was inevitable that she would choose the most expensive limited edition at first glance.

Xu Shuli quietly gave Jin Zhao a thumbs-up. Now she felt her plan to whisper sweet nothings was completely feasible.

Jin Zhao got into the car and looked at the interior.  What’s wrong with a Bentley?  If she were given one now, she wouldn’t say a word.

“Husband—”

“Impossible.” Wei Ting knew what she was going to say from the drawn-out first half of her sentence.

“I’m not a bank.”

Especially not one that works hard, doesn’t ask for anything, and only gives out money.

“Okay.” Jin Zhao also thought the car was too business-like and not suitable for her now.

It would be very suitable for her later.

“Why did you come to Night Banquet today?” She looked surprised, squeezing her eyes several times without shedding tears.

“Were you here to have fun?  The home flag is not down, but the outside flags are flying… What’s the point of being the main wife?”

Wei Ting sneered, rubbing his temples. “You have the nerve to accuse others? There were so many flags in the private room just now; I thought I was in the United Nations.”

“I don’t care, I won’t listen to explanations.” Jin Zhao spoke to herself. “Just like Garfield never asks Jon why he went to the pet store that day, I won’t ask my husband why he appeared at Night Banquet.”

Jin Zhao still thought it was a coincidence. “Did you come here specifically to catch me? Did you send someone to follow me!”

The driver, Qin Zhuli, couldn’t help but explain. “Miss, you said you wanted to come to Night Banquet this morning.”

“That’s even more unreasonable. Did you eavesdrop on my phone call?” Jin Zhao immediately looked at Wei Ting.

Wei Ting saw her being unreasonable, making his head ache.

“I hadn’t even left the main hall this morning, and I’m not deaf. This is Gu Jue’s business; Cheng Wang and I accompanied him.”

“I said before that you could do whatever you want, but don’t lead Xu Shuli astray; otherwise, I won’t save you next time.”

Jin Zhao muttered softly. “It’s like brother-sister affection. You still left your sister to Cheng Wang to send her back; I don’t know if I’ll see Shuli tomorrow.”

“Left?” Wei Ting suspected she was lacking a few brain cells. Cheng Wang was only targeting her. “Since you’re so resentful, let’s switch it up next time; I’ll leave you to Cheng Wang.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the person who had been leaning against the car window talking just a second ago was now beside his arm.

“Husband, cuddle!”

“Just kidding.” Jin Zhao rubbed against his arm. “I hope it’s still my husband sending me home next time. No, there’s no next time; I promise!”

“Get up, I’m a neat freak.” Wei Ting smelled the faint smell of alcohol on her and frowned slightly.

The person leaning on him didn’t move.

“Do you want me to leave you on the side of the road?”

“Jin Zhao.”

Still no reaction. The shirt on his arm was slightly damp. Wei Ting’s expression paused slightly, and he looked down at her expression.

The last time he saw Jin Zhao cry was at the Jin family. She was crying and arguing with her family to cooperate with Lu Sichen. At that time, he saw her as a stupid and slightly useful tool for an arranged marriage.

The girl’s eyes were slightly closed, her breathing steady.

Jin Zhao: zzz.

“Sir, Miss seems to be asleep.” Qin Zhuli whispered.

“I’m not blind.” Wei Ting’s voice was cold, his fist clenched, staring at his dampened shirt cuff.

Jin Zhao, who didn’t know she almost got choked to death: lying flat and drooling.

The winter vacation ended, and Jingda University was about to start school. Jin Zhao was buying a new computer for the new semester; after all, she was going to do great things.

“You have a computer in your room.” Zhang Sao knew she had hit her head and kindly reminded her.

“That one’s not good; it’s all messed up inside.”

Jin Zhao didn’t tell the truth.  It was full of the original owner’s stolen photos of Lu Sichen and a perverted diary. She felt the computer was dirty.

Zhang Sao looked at her knowingly. “Actually, you just want a new one.”

After all, Tanyuan had been completely renovated, and Miss Jin had asked the housekeeper to get Mr. Wei to pay for it.

“Why is Wei Ting’s shirt here?” Jin Zhao sat on the sofa, seeing the clothes in Zhang Sao’s hand.

He never spent the night here, and leaving clothes was even rarer.

“I must have fallen asleep against the car window yesterday and my shoulders ached terribly this morning. Zhang Sao, can you massage me?”

Zhang Sao walked behind her and said softly, “He changed it after sending you back last night and said to throw it away. Sir seemed to be in a bad mood yesterday. Miss, should you care about him?”

“He’s not in a bad mood because of me. He didn’t even want to carry me out of the car yesterday; the maids had to help me. I don’t want to care about him.”

Jin Zhao took the shirt and examined it carefully. “Maybe he went to Night Banquet yesterday and didn’t find his lover.”

As soon as she finished speaking, she pinched a long hair from the collar of the shirt. “Look! I told you Wei Ting didn’t come home; he must have a lover outside. This is the evidence.”

“He threw away the shirt to destroy the evidence.”

Let’s see how he dares to say she’s messing around outside.

They’re both equally bad; a sham marriage can continue; otherwise, one party will definitely have resentment.

As soon as she finished speaking, she saw the man slowly coming down the stairs. She remembered that she had just gossiped about him.

…It must have been Zhang Sao who told him!

“Husband, you didn’t leave yesterday?”

“Did you decide to end our separation and cultivate our feelings?”

Jin Zhao’s smile was stiff; she didn’t want that. Only a husband who doesn’t come home but sends money is a good husband.

Wei Ting walked up to her and raised his wrist.

“Let’s talk properly. Don’t get angry just because I caught you red-handed!”

“Bad luck for beating your wife!”
