Chapter 23: Your Daughter Seems to Be a Little Dead
Fu Yanci reacted swiftly, pulling Su Wantang into his arms the moment the dark shadow was about to hit him.
He sidestepped, and both of them cleverly avoided the collision.
Su Wantang lost her balance due to the sudden movement and ended up kissing Fu Yanci’s cheek.
Fu Yanci felt as if he had been electrocuted; his blood surged, and his breathing became rapid.
“…”
Su Wantang came to her senses and pushed Fu Yanci away.
She cursed at the dark shadow, “Go to hell! What kind of dirty thing dares to sneak attack me!”
Then she rushed over, raised her leg, and kicked the shadow, who was still standing there, directly into the river!
With a “splash.”
Huge splashes erupted from the river.
Su Wantang leaned over to take a look. A ‘pig’ that had fallen into the river was struggling desperately, constantly calling for its parents.
Aunt Liu, who was hiding behind a tree, was startled to see her daughter being kicked into the river.
She glared fiercely at Su Wantang, then shouted at the top of her lungs.
“Help! Su Wantang, this crazy woman, kicked my daughter into the river! My daughter can’t swim! This crazy woman wants my daughter’s life!”
This shout attracted all the neighbors nearby.
Aunt Liu, perhaps feeling that it wasn’t dramatic enough, started gesticulating wildly, like a comical clown.
“Come and see! Su Wantang is really crazy! My poor daughter!”
Seeing more and more villagers gathering, Aunt Liu simply sat down on the ground and started rolling around.
While rolling, she cried, “Oh dear! Why is my life so bitter! I met such an unreasonable person, she kicked my daughter into the river without saying anything, how can she bully people like this!”
After speaking, she didn’t forget to slap the ground, a sight that was quite amusing.
Then, she grabbed Fu Yanci’s trousers and yelled, “Captain Fu, as a soldier, how can you let your fiancée bully people like this! You should quickly go down and save her! My daughter is about to drown!”
Seeing this familiar scene, Fu Yanci unconsciously clenched his fists.
In his past life, it was here that he encountered Song Shiyi falling into the water, and he had jumped in to save her with a pounding heart.
After saving her, Lin Mei suddenly rushed out from behind a tree.
Crying that he had touched her daughter in the water, ruining Song Shiyi’s innocence.
Lin Mei made a big fuss about it, and Song Shiyi even tried to kill herself, eventually forcing him to marry Song Shiyi.
The scene before him was exactly the same as in his past life.
Only the protagonists were changed to Aunt Liu and her daughter, Pang Ya.
Su Wantang also remembered the plot from the book.
She couldn’t help but sigh, Song Shiyi had been sent to the farm by her, but Fu Yanci’s fate of being framed was still unfolding.
Sure enough, boys should protect themselves when they are out.
Su Wantang’s eyes showed a little more sympathy for Fu Yanci.
Poor guy.
Looking at Pang Ya struggling in the river, Su Wantang remembered that this person was Song Shiyi’s lackey.
It seemed that Song Shiyi had previously revealed her plan to Pang Ya.
So this fool, seeing Song Shiyi in the farm, came to try this trick of framing someone.
She had suddenly bumped into him just now, intending to push Fu Yanci into the water as well, and then blame him.
As Aunt Liu’s cries grew louder, Su Wantang rubbed her ears.
She walked to the riverbank and reminded Aunt Liu, “Shouldn’t you come and take a look? Your daughter seems to be a little dead.”
Hearing this, Aunt Liu let go of Fu Yanci’s trousers, stood up, and rushed to the riverbank in terror.
Seeing Aunt Liu standing by the river, panicked and about to shout for help again.
Su Wantang unceremoniously raised her leg and kicked Aunt Liu on her buttocks.
Another “splash.”
Aunt Liu stumbled and fell into the water, directly hitting her daughter Pang Ya’s head.
There was a collective gasp from the onlookers. Going closer, they saw Pang Ya, as if grabbing a lifeline, tightly clutching Aunt Liu’s neck, causing Aunt Liu to choke on some water.
Su Wantang crossed her arms and said, “Aunt Liu, which eye did you see me kick your daughter? Besides, with her physique, how could I possibly kick her? Since you love your daughter so much, I’ll kindly help you, sending you both into the water, you should save your own daughter.”
Aunt Liu saw her daughter frantically pulling and tugging at her and didn’t bother arguing with Su Wantang.
If this continued, both of them would probably drown.
So, she hardened her heart and knocked her daughter unconscious.
Then she tried to drag her daughter to the shore.
Unfortunately, her daughter weighed over two hundred pounds, and she couldn’t pull her at all.
