Chapter 5
As soon as he left, Mother Lu immediately put down the chopsticks in her hand, grabbed Lu Anning’s hand, and pleaded in a sad tone: “Anning, don’t do this again next time, okay?”
“Your father and I never expect you to be rich or powerful, nor do we ask you to master many skills. It’s okay even if you don’t know anything. We just hope you can live a good life.”
“Mom really doesn’t have any other wishes in this life, except this one. I hope you can promise me, okay?”
With Lu’s father by her side, Lu’s mother finally said what she had always wanted to say but had not said.
Lu Anning was deeply moved when she heard Lu’s mother’s pleading words.
Their love for the original owner was selfless, just like her own parents were before, they only wished the best for them.
She tore off some toilet paper from the cabinet next to her and gently wiped away the tears that kept flowing from Lu’s mother. She also reached out and hugged her gently.
Sometimes parents are not as strong as we think, but they are just used to providing a support for their children.
When Lu’s mother calmed down a little, she took out a small notebook and wrote on it, “I’m sorry, Mom and Dad. I won’t commit suicide again!”
She wrote it very directly. This was the promise Lu Anning made to her new parents.
I’m sorry, but their biological daughter is actually no longer with us, and she will continue to live in this body from now on.
Because of a congenital heart disease, she couldn’t run or jump, and couldn’t live like many normal people.
Of the three wishes she made on her birthday every year, one was always to pray to God that she would have a healthy body and not suffer from heart disease.
Now she really has it!
Not only did God hear her wish, he also helped her realize it!
Although she couldn’t speak fluently for the time being, she felt the joy and excitement that a healthy heart brought her. It was beating strongly in her body at this moment, and she felt it!
Although I haven’t tried what it feels like to run on the ground, I don’t know if it’s really like what is written in the books, that I can run with the wind.
But after she fully recovered, she also had a health experience card, and she could finally run, jump, and do all kinds of things that she couldn’t do before.
So she would never commit suicide. She would live well in place of the original owner.
She cherishes life more than anyone else! She wants to live!
“well!”
“As long as you are well, mom and dad will be happy!”
This was the first time that Lu Anning said the word that they avoided talking about so bluntly. Perhaps this really would be a turning point.
While Lu’s father and mother were happy about her promise, she wrote another line on the paper.
After reading it, Mr. Lu was shocked.
“Are you serious?!”
She nodded solemnly.
“What’s the matter?”
When Lu’s mother took the notebook and looked at it, the smile that had just appeared on her face disappeared in an instant.
“Who is it?!”
“Yes…Yes…”
Mother Lu didn’t dare to say the name that first popped into her mind.
“It’s definitely not him!”
Father Lu knew who his wife was talking about and denied it directly.
“There’s no way this kid could do something like this.”
“If he didn’t want to be with Lu Anning, he shouldn’t have married her in the first place.”
“If he really doesn’t want to, he won’t compromise even if the old man puts a gun to his head. There’s no need to go to so much trouble and risk damaging the relationship between our two families.”
“Who is that?”
“Who wants to harm my daughter?”
Just when Mother Lu felt relieved by her daughter’s assurance, she learned another piece of news that made her devastate. She now wished she could find the man immediately and tear him into pieces!
Anyone who harms her daughter will die a horrible death!
“Don’t worry, wait until Jingxing comes back. He is more familiar with this place.”
“Lu Anning, Dad knows you didn’t tell Jing Xing what you were thinking, but don’t worry, he is a very reliable person and he won’t harm you.”
Lu Anning nodded after listening.
The reason why she didn’t tell Sui Jingxing right away was just as Lu’s father thought, she was not sure whether the other party could be trusted.
But Lu’s father and mother were completely different. They loved the original owner like the apple of their eye, so naturally they would not allow others to hurt her.
When Sui Jingxing came in, the three members of the family in the ward all turned their eyes to him.
“Jingxing, put the peach aside first.”
Seeing that his father-in-law seemed to have something important to say, Sui Jingxing quickly put down the peach and walked over.
“Take a look at this first.”
Father Lu handed him the words Lu Anning had just written, which clearly read: “Someone wants to harm me this time!”
“Is there any evidence?”
Sui Jingxing’s first reaction after being surprised was to choose to believe her.
Lu Anning hardly went out in the past month and did not take the initiative to contact others. There was really no need for her to tell such a serious lie.
“have!”
The original owner actually had evidence!
The original owner chose to go with the flow because she wanted to die, but that doesn’t mean she was a stupid person.
While taking the “knife” handed over by the other party, she also left evidence and placed it in the drawer of the room. Next to it was a suicide note she wrote and the process of her murder.
“The evidence is in the drawer in the room.”
“As long as there is evidence!”
“There’s no rush for this matter. The most important thing right now is for Lu Anning to take good care of her health. We can talk about it after she is discharged from the hospital.”
No matter who the other party is, if he dares to hurt Lu Sheng’s daughter, he will never let the other party off even if it means both sides will be destroyed.
“Lu Anning, eat a peach first.”
Sui Jingxing picked the biggest peach from the ones he had just washed and gave it to her, but she didn’t take it.
“Don’t you want to eat now?”
She made a gesture of cutting it in half.
“You only want half of it?”
She nodded slightly.
Sui Jingxing took the crisp peach that he was about to hand to her, and with a little force, it broke into two halves.
Lu Anning took half and gestured for him to eat the other half.
He only washed three peaches, and it was obvious that the other two were washed for Lu’s father and mother.
He arranged for the three of them, but didn’t consider himself.
She thought Sui Jingxing was reluctant to eat it, so he suggested sharing it in half, but she didn’t know that he actually didn’t like eating peaches since he was a child.
However, he couldn’t bear to reject Lu Anning’s kindness. Even though he didn’t like it, he still took the other half of the peach and started eating it in big mouthfuls.
Lu’s father and mother secretly observed how the two of them got along, and Lu Anning seemed to be much better than they had imagined.
According to her previous personality, she didn’t dare to look directly at anyone other than her family. She didn’t expect that in just one month, there would be such a big change.
Although Lu Anning has changed now, when he thought about the bad thoughts she had before, Father Lu still asked about it when Sui Jingxing took the lunch box they had just eaten to wash.
“Lu Anning, do you want to go home?”
