Chapter 52 What kind of bandit logic is this?

“Little girl, we don’t have anyone named Zhao Hang here, but how about Li Hang or Zhang Hang? Big brother can dote on you just the same~” A slick, greasy-haired thug was the first to speak, his tone full of flippancy.

“Little girl, look at your soft skin and tender flesh, coming out all alone at night looking for Zhao Hang… got some secret sorrow, huh? Don’t be afraid, tell us brothers about it, maybe we can help you find him — or better yet, help solve your troubles right now,” another short and chubby thug said with a malicious grin, moving closer to Chang Suisui as he spoke.

“Hey now, Wang-ge, don’t go scaring the little lady. We gotta be gentle, right?” The slick-haired thug winked at Chang Suisui. “Little girl, see? It’s dangerous to be out alone at night. Why not come have a drink with me first, chat for a bit? Who knows, maybe you’ll find I’m actually a warmhearted good brother~”

“Yeah yeah yeah, little girl, that Zhao Hang guy isn’t worth your time. All the brothers here are way better than him! Pick one, and he’ll keep you company tonight — satisfaction guaranteed!” A burly thug with a face full of scars said gruffly, eyeing Chang Suisui with ill intent.

Their words were filled with sleaze and provocation — clearly trying to take advantage of the situation.

However, there was no sign of fear on Chang Suisui’s face. Instead, her eyes flashed with a cold gleam, barely perceptible. As if she had already expected this.

She stared coldly at the group and slowly spoke again, “Who’s your boss? I want to see him.”

The thugs exchanged looks, then burst into laughter, as if they’d just heard the funniest joke in the world.

“Yo, she’s got some fire in her! Looks like we’ve got some fun tonight, brothers.” The slick-haired thug stood up and slowly approached Chang Suisui, a smug smile on his face.

Chang Suisui remained still, but her voice turned even colder. “I’ll say it one more time. Move.”

Her voice wasn’t loud, but it carried a sharp, unquestionable authority.

The slick-haired thug froze for a moment, but quickly brushed it off. Clearly, he didn’t take her seriously and reached out to grab her.

Before he could touch her, she suddenly moved — a sharp over-the-shoulder throw slammed him hard into the ground, dust flying.

Everyone was stunned. No one had expected such fierce skill from a woman who looked so delicate.

“You… You dare hit me?!” The thug she had thrown scrambled to his feet, face red with embarrassment and rage. He had never been humiliated like this in all his time in town!

He waved his hand, yelling to the others, “Get her! Grab her! I’m gonna teach this bitch a lesson she won’t forget!”

He wanted her on her knees, crying for forgiveness!

At his command, the thugs lunged at Chang Suisui from all sides.

She paused, then leapt forward — a swift kick struck the nearest thug, knocking him to his knees. She spun around and delivered a sweeping kick that sent another flying.

With a loud “thud,” that thug crashed into his companions, knocking several over in a tangled pile. Each one was grimacing in pain.

The others, seeing this, no longer dared underestimate her. They charged in with everything they had.

But it was useless.

Chang Suisui fought harder and faster, her movements sharper and more precise. She moved like a whirlwind, her strikes fierce and her footwork deadly. Within moments, the thugs were all groaning on the ground, completely overpowered.

She clapped her hands as if brushing off nonexistent dust, then looked around coldly. “Now then, who’s your boss?”

She had already made a good guess during the fight but wanted to hear it from them directly.

No one answered, but several of the thugs glanced subconsciously at the slick-haired one.

Her lips curled slightly — just as she suspected.

She stepped right up to him. He was still lying on the ground, clutching his injuries and groaning.

When she suddenly approached, he flinched in terror and quickly cried out, “Heroine! Please spare me! I really don’t know any Zhao Hang! Just tell me why you’re looking for him — I’ll find him for you! I swear!”

(And then I’ll kill him!)
(He thought grimly. This whole embarrassment was thanks to this demon woman coming to look for that bastard Zhao Hang!)

Chang Suisui raised an eyebrow. “So none of your brothers know him either?”

Zhou Xiangdong (the slick-haired one) glanced at his beaten-up gang and caught one guy quickly averting his gaze. He immediately realized — someone here did know Zhao Hang.

But he didn’t share that with Chang Suisui. Instead, he forced a stiff smile and said, “Heroine, none of my guys know Zhao Hang. What business do you have with him, anyway?”

Chang Suisui caught the hesitation in his eyes, and her expression cooled as she played along. “That’s private. Since you don’t know, I’ll come ask again tomorrow. Maybe by then, you’ll remember.”

Zhou Xiangdong wanted to curse. What kind of bandit logic was that?

But then he thought — if she’s coming back tomorrow, he’d have time to call all his guys together. Surely with that many people, they could handle one little girl.

Thinking that, his eyes glinted with malice, but he quickly put on a smile. “Of course, Heroine. I’ll look into this Zhao Hang for you right away. Maybe by tomorrow, I’ll have found him.”

“Mhm.” Chang Suisui responded coolly.

Zhou Xiangdong’s smile widened eagerly. “Then… may I ask Heroine’s name? So that once I’ve found Zhao Hang, I’ll know where to find you?”

Chang Suisui glanced at him and said flatly, “Just call me Heroine. That name works just fine.”

Zhou Xiangdong: “…”

This is f**king ridiculous.

If he weren’t beaten so badly right now, he’d really want to go all out and fight her again!

Chang Suisui saw the suppressed rage on Zhou Xiangdong’s face and smiled faintly. “Oh, and by the way…”
