Chapter 11: Sabotage

Lu Yunshang’s face burned, as if she’d been caught doing something wrong by her teacher. She wished she could disappear into a crack in the ground. What should she do?

“Yunshang, are you done?” Liu Jingting’s voice came from outside.

Lu Yunshang gave Fu Changqing a sheepish grin and quickly slipped away.

They hadn’t gone far when Fu Changqing caught up.

Liu Jingting looked at Fu Changqing in confusion, “Mr. Fu also went to the restroom? I didn’t see you.”

Fu Changqing didn’t speak, smiling at Lu Yunshang.

Lu Yunshang quickly took Liu Jingting’s arm, “Senior brother, look, the scenery over there is nice.”

“What scenery? It’s winter, everything is bare,” Liu Jingting said, completely bewildered.

When the three returned to the pavilion, a girl in a red coat suddenly rushed over and threw herself into Fu Changqing’s arms, startling Lu Yunshang and Liu Jingting. The gossip-loving siblings were instantly on alert.

To their surprise, Fu Changqing didn’t push the girl away but stroked her long black hair, saying softly, “Only a few days apart, and you miss me so much?”

The girl hugged Fu Changqing tightly, “Don’t leave me alone again. It’s so scary to sleep at night.”

Fu Changqing said indulgently, “You’re so grown up, and you’re still afraid of the dark.”

For some reason, Lu Yunshang felt a pang of sadness. It turned out Mr. Fuwasn’t single. Was this his girlfriend or wife? No, she hadn’t heard that Fu Changqing was married. The Fu family had never mentioned it.

Then who was this woman?

Liu Jingting leaned close to Lu Yunshang’s ear, “Who is she?”

Lu Yunshang shook her head, “I don’t know.”

The girl heard Liu Jingting and Lu Yunshang’s conversation and let go of Fu Changqing, tugging at his coat and asking, “Who are they?”

Then she looked at Lu Yunshang, “This sister is so pretty.”

Lu Yunshang felt uncomfortable being stared at. The girl’s gaze didn’t seem very friendly.

Fu Changqing was about to speak when a sharp voice interrupted, “Fu Ruoyun! When did you come back?”

Fu Yueyue suddenly appeared from somewhere, grabbing the girl in Fu Changqing’s arms, “Why didn’t you tell me you were back? I could have come to see you.”

Fu Ruoyun was very unhappy and pushed Fu Yueyue’s hand away, “I just got off the plane, and now I’ve seen you.”

Seeing Fu Ruoyun’s cold attitude, Fu Yueyue rolled her eyes and went to Lu Yunshang, “Sister-in-law, I’ve been looking for you everywhere. Let me tell you, my friends really like the perfume you made for me. They all want to order from you.”

Lu Yunshang was incredibly embarrassed by the “sister-in-law.” Fu Yueyue was really good at adapting to the situation.

“Yes,” Fu Yueyue casually replied, pulling Lu Yunshang aside and continuing, “I told my friends that my sister-in-law is the chief perfumer, and those who want to order from her have to queue. The price is 180,000 yuan per bottle, but I can get a discount if I introduce them.”

Lu Yunshang’s eyes widened, and Liu Jingting quickly leaned in to listen.

“Let’s charge them 150,000 yuan per bottle. Sister-in-law, you get 100,000 yuan, and I get 50,000 yuan. What do you think? I guarantee I’ll bring all the socialites and young masters in Huacheng to your studio.”

Liu Jingting nodded repeatedly, “No problem, no problem.”

Fu Yueyue looked back at Liu Jingting, “Who are you? You look familiar.”

“I’m Liu Jingting, the owner of Fangqi Perfume Studio,” Liu Jingting quickly handed over his business card.

Fu Yueyue took the business card, looking at it while recalling, “Oh, I remember. I’ve seen you at your studio. Nice to meet you, handsome. Since the boss is here, it’s easy to handle. But I want payment for each order, no arrears.”

Liu Jingting patted his chest, “Don’t worry, as long as the client pays, I’ll give you your commission immediately.”

Fu Yueyue smiled, “Great, that’s settled then.”

Lu Yunshang pulled Liu Jingting, “Senior brother, shouldn’t we discuss this properly?”

Fu Ruoyun was very unhappy and stomped her foot.

Fu Yueyue rolled her eyes and pulled Lu Yunshang away, “Sister-in-law, let’s sit together.”

Lu Yunshang looked back at Fu Changqing. He was holding Fu Ruoyun’s hand and comforting her softly. Although she knew they were siblings, she still felt something was strange.

“Mr. Fu and his sister have a good relationship,” Liu Jingting whispered.

Lu Yunshang didn’t say anything, just numbly being dragged away.

It had snowed yesterday, but the weather was nice today. The banquet tables were set up in the square at the entrance of the farm. Lu Yunshang glanced around. There were about twenty or thirty tables, mostly full. Judging by the guests’ attire, they were all wealthy.

Fu Yueyue looked around for a while, then pointed ahead, “My brother is over there. Sister-in-law, let’s sit there.”

Without saying a word, she dragged Lu Yunshang over.

Lu Yunshang didn’t want to sit at the same table as Fu Hanzhou, but there were so many people present, she couldn’t refuse. She thought she shouldn’t have come. Liu Jingting followed openly and even greeted Fu Hanzhou proactively.

“Fu Shao, we meet again.”

Fu Yueyue pushed Lu Yunshang into the seat next to Fu Hanzhou, “Sister-in-law, just sit here.”

She sat on the other side of Fu Hanzhou.

Fu Hanzhou had a face full of black lines, “Fu Yueyue, what are you doing? Don’t you know we’re divorced? She doesn’t want to be your sister-in-law. Stop calling her that, you’re being delusional.”

Fu Yueyue pouted, “It’s none of your business. I like calling her sister-in-law.”

Lu Yunshang was speechless. Fu Yueyue, you’re really something.

Old Master Fu walked over, supported by his son, Fu Dessen. Lu Yunshang quickly stood up. Old Master Fu glanced at Lu Yunshang and Fu Hanzhou, nodded in satisfaction, and gestured for Lu Yunshang to sit down. He sat down at the head of the table.

Seeing Old Master Fu sit down, Lu Yunshang thought this was the main table. Would Fu Changqing come over?

Just then, a sweet voice sounded behind her, “Grandpa, I miss you.”

Lu Yunshang turned around and saw Fu Changqing and Fu Ruoyun standing behind her. Fu Ruoyun took a few steps and threw herself into Old Master Fu’s arms, acting spoiled.

Fu Yueyue rolled her eyes again, muttering something under her breath.

Fu Changqing pulled out the chair next to Liu Jingting. Liu Jingting quickly stood up, wanting to give his seat to Fu Changqing, but Fu Changqing gestured for him to sit down and turned to Fu Ruoyun, “Ruoyun, you sit here.”

Fu Ruoyun glanced at Liu Jingting and Lu Yunshang, then moved away from Old Master Fu and sat down reluctantly.

“Brother, sit next to me,” she said, pulling Fu Changqing’s arm.

Fu Changqing gently patted her hand and then sat down next to Old Master Fu.

Fu Ruoyun’s gaze followed Fu Changqing, her face full of displeasure.

Fu Yueyue leaned over Fu Hanzhou and whispered to Lu Yunshang, “Sister-in-law, let me tell you some gossip. Do you know why Brother has never had a girlfriend? It’s all Fu Ruoyun’s fault. Any woman who gets close to Brother will be chased away by her.”

Lu Yunshang was shocked.

Fu Hanzhou grabbed Fu Yueyue’s hair, “Fu Yueyue, shut your mouth. Are you trying to die?”
