Chapter 12: Staying Overnight

Everyone’s gaze turned to them. Fu Hanzhou quickly let go of Fu Yueyue.

“It’s nothing, my brother was just playing around.”

Fu Yueyue giggled foolishly, then used her hand to fiercely twist Fu Hanzhou’s thigh under the table.

The servers began to serve the food, and everyone’s attention shifted to the menu.

Fu Dessen came over to introduce the food, “These are all chickens, ducks, and geese raised on my farm. The pork, mutton, and beef are also from here, and the vegetables are grown in our own greenhouses. Please eat with peace of mind.”

Fu Changqing wanted to follow Liu Jingting and Lu Yunshang but was stopped by Old Master Fu, “Changqing, sit down. Let Hanzhou go. He should take care of his wife.”

Fu Hanzhou glanced at Fu Changqing and pulled Su Qiyi to chase after Liu Jingting and Lu Yunshang.

Fu Changqing didn’t say anything else and returned to his seat.

Seeing this, Jiang Bogen also returned to his seat.

Fu Ruoyun kept staring at her brother, Fu Changqing. She subconsciously bit her lip and squeezed the tablecloth tightly.

In the restroom, Lu Yunshang kept rinsing her hand with cold water. The weather was cold, and her hand felt numb.

Fu Hanzhou glared fiercely at Su Qiyi, “Be gentle. I think you bought your medical license. You’re so clumsy.”

Su Qiyi turned his head and handed the aloe vera to Fu Hanzhou, “You do it then.”

“Fu Hanzhou, stop messing around,” Lu Yunshang said angrily. Fu Hanzhou froze and stopped talking.

“Doctor Su, continue. I can handle it.”

After applying the aloe vera, Lu Yunshang felt the pain subside.

Su Qiyi stared at her hand for a while and said, “If it doesn’t blister, it’ll be fine. If it does, you should still go to the hospital.”

Liu Jingting, who was standing by, stepped forward, “Let’s still go to the hospital. Yunshang is a perfumer. Her hands are important to her. And she’s a girl, she can’t have scars.”

“It’s snowing,” Fu Yueyue ran in, panting, “The guests have left early. Brother, Grandpa asked us to stay here overnight. These are your room keys. Grandpa said Doctor Su should also stay to take care of Sister-in-law.”

Fu Yueyue handed three room keys to the three men.

“Okay,” Liu Jingting returned the room key to Fu Yueyue.

“You can’t leave. There are people guarding outside. They won’t let you leave the farm.”

“Then I’ll go find Grandpa,” Lu Yunshang said and was about to leave when Fu Yueyue stopped her, “Sister-in-law, do you really want to make Grandpa angry? Grandpa is scary when he’s angry. Just stay with my brother for one night.”

Fu Hanzhou, who hadn’t spoken, seeing Lu Yunshang’s unhappy expression, threw his room key to Lu Yunshang and pulled Su Qiyi away, “Let’s squeeze into one room tonight.”

Fu Yueyue followed, “Brother, what if Grandpa finds out?”

“If you don’t say anything, and I don’t say anything, how will Grandpa know?”

Looking at Fu Hanzhou’s back, Lu Yunshang tightened her grip on the room key. She regretted coming to this banquet. She got burned, and now she had to stay overnight. Fine, I’ll stay tonight and leave early tomorrow.

There was heating in the room. She closed the door, carefully took off her coat. The redness and swelling on the back of her hand had subsided. It probably wouldn’t blister. It was probably because the weather was cold, and the soup wasn’t that hot.

She had just turned on the TV when the doorbell rang.

“Senior brother, what is it?” Lu Yunshang thought it was Liu Jingting and opened the door while asking.

She saw Fu Changqing standing outside. His expression was calm, and his tone was calm, “Miss Lu, I apologize for the intrusion.”

Lu Yunshang was surprised, “Mr. Fu, is there something wrong?”

Fu Changqing didn’t look at Lu Yunshang and walked straight past her into the room. Lu Yunshang closed the door and turned back into the room.

Fu Changqing glanced around the room, “Hanzhou isn’t here?”

Lu Yunshang froze, wanting to ask Fu Changqing why he thought Fu Hanzhou was here.

“He’s in a room with Su Qiyi. Mr. Fu, if you’re looking for him, you can find him at Su Qitai’s place.”

Fu Changqing turned around, stood in front of Lu Yunshang, and looked at her, “I’m not looking for him. I’m looking for you.”

A faint scent of iris floated into her nostrils.

He had sprayed the perfume she gave him today.

Lu Yunshang was a little dazed. Fu Changqing carefully lifted her hand.

“Does it hurt?” he asked softly.

Her heart pounded. Lu Yunshang quickly pulled her hand back, saying awkwardly, “It doesn’t hurt. Thank you for your concern, Mr. Fu.”

Fu Changqing took an ointment from his coat pocket and handed it over, “Wash the aloe vera off later and apply this ointment. Jiang Bogen said this ointment is very good and won’t leave scars.”

A warm current surged through her heart. Lu Yunshang took the ointment, “Thank you, Mr. Fu.”

“Ding dong” The doorbell rang again.

Lu Yunshang panicked and pulled Fu Changqing, “Quickly find a place to hide.”

“Why should I hide?” Fu Changqing was puzzled.

“What if it’s Grandpa checking on us?”

Fu Changqing frowned.

He looked at the bed, quickly walked over, pulled up the covers, and lay down, his back to the door, covering himself tightly, only showing the back of his head.
