Chapter 22: A Free for All
When Qiao Jiangxin was butchering the pigs, the old woman fainted. Now, seeing Qiao Jiangxin’s energetic actions, Qiao Jiuwang wished he could faint too.
Li Sanfa’s family was clearly mistaken, and they couldn’t explain themselves clearly, wishing they had eight mouths.
But this troublemaker was more energetic and louder than anyone, acting as if she would risk her life for the Qiao family.
“Girl, try talking nonsense again, and I’ll strangle you!” Qiao Jiuwang’s voice was laced with killing intent.
Qiao Jiangxin instantly understood, “I know, Grandpa. It’s all my fault. Grandpa and Grandma are innocent. I’m young and ignorant. I’ll take the blame!”
“It’s all my fault!!!” Before she finished, Qiao Jiangxin grabbed Lei Honghua, who was explaining to Gao Cuilan, and threw her forward.
“Oh yeah,” Lei Honghua screamed, falling forward and pinning Gao Cuilan to the ground. Gao Cuilan’s head hit a tree stump, and she seemed dazed.
Qiao Youfu and Qiao Youcai, as if some hidden bloodline had been activated, exchanged glances.
They had toiled their whole lives without reward, so let everyone suffer.
“Afang, go to the room, don’t get involved,” Qiao Youcai told his wife before running towards the door.
Qiao Youfu followed, kicking the half-dead Qiao Jianguo off the bench.
Because of this fool’s connections, he hadn’t found a wife yet. He didn’t work anyway, so being crippled was fine.
“Ah”
Qiao Jianguo fell to the ground, feeling a sharp pain in his wound.
“Aaah, me again! Aah, my wound opened! Mom, Mom, those bastards are killing me”
“Heh heh~,” Qiao Jianguo panted, cursing at Qiao Youfu’s back.
“You two bastards, you wait! When I’m better, I’ll kill you! And that wretch, Big Sister…”
Liu Afang, following her husband’s instructions, was about to return to the room when she heard Qiao Jianguo’s cursing.
Without hesitation, she picked up the bench and hit Qiao Jianguo.
“You have a foul mouth! You’re as vicious as your mother! I’ll beat you to death, you ungrateful wretch!”
Damn it, everyone’s gone mad. Let them all die.
They killed four chickens, injured the pigs, and Fourth Uncle was badly injured. They also took the family’s money. Any of these things would be enough for Lei Honghua and Qiao Jiuwang to skin them alive.
She didn’t want to live anyway. But Qiao Jianguo kept cursing, so she’d beat him first to vent her anger.
Two blows to the head with the bench, and Qiao Jianguo begged for mercy, “I’m wrong, Sister-in-law, I’m wrong! Don’t hit me! Woo woo woo, don’t hit me! I’m injured! I’ll die!”
“I won’t curse anymore!”
Liu Afang threw down the bench, “What a nuisance! I don’t know why that old woman treasures you so much.”
She rolled her eyes, stepped over him, and went into the room.
“Ah!!!”
Qiao Jianguo, his face swollen, lay on the ground, “You did it on purpose, heh heh, you definitely did it on purpose…”
At the door,
Qiao Youcai, bursting out, leaped at Qiao Jianhua and punched him in the face, “You unfilial bastard! I’ll beat you to death! Mom and Dad fight because of you, and you dare to bring people here to fight!”
Qiao Jianhua, before he could see clearly, was punched in the face, staggering towards the entangled Lei Honghua and Gao Cuilan.
Bang!
Lei Honghua was trying to get up when her son fell on her, pushing her onto Gao Cuilan again.
Gao Cuilan almost vomited her sweet potato porridge. She grabbed Lei Honghua’s hair and pulled violently, flipping her over.
“You old shrew, I’ll fight you!”
Lei Honghua’s waist was almost broken from her son’s weight. Her nose hit Gao Cuilan’s forehead, making her eyes water. Gao Cuilan was still pulling her hair and holding her down.
Losing her temper, she grabbed Gao Cuilan’s hair, “You wicked woman, I’ve tried to be nice, but I’ll pull your hair out!!!”
Seeing the chaos, Qiao Jiuwang was frantic, waving his hands and shouting, “Stop fighting! It’s a misunderstanding! Oh my, how will this end…”
“Li Sanfa, what are you doing? Quickly pull…”
“Aaaaaah!!!”
Before Qiao Jiuwang finished, someone kicked him in the butt, sending him sprawling towards Li Sanfa.
Li Sanfa saw who it was, stepped back, extended his arms, and pushed Qiao Jiuwang hard, “Alright, the act is over, I’ve endured you for a long time.”
After kicking his father, Qiao Youfu felt unexpectedly relieved.
“You clearly said the child in Third Brother’s wife’s belly is my son, and now you say it’s not! Liar!!!”
The onlookers initially watched, then tried to intervene, but the fight was too intense, and they dared not approach.
They could only shout from the sidelines, “Stop it! Stop fighting!”
“You’re in-laws, talk it out! Someone will get hurt!”
Qiao Jiangxin surveyed the scene: Lei Honghua and Gao Cuilan, her father and Qiao Jianhua, Qiao Jiuwang and Li Sanfa, and her uncle chasing Li Xiaobing.
Hey, Li Xiaoping was alone in the corner.
Without hesitation, she walked towards Li Xiaoping.
Li Xiaoping, protecting her belly, said fearfully, “You, you, what are you going to do?”
Qiao Jiangxin said impatiently, “I’m not Lei Honghua, that uncouth shrew who only knows how to fight. I’m here to reason with you. Look, look.”
Qiao Jiangxin pointed at the fighting groups, “It’s all because of you! My third uncle, a good man, married a troublemaker like you and forgot his parents. You must have instigated it.
You think you’re great because you’re pregnant?
What’s wrong with having a son for my uncle?
Grandpa and Grandma agreed, and you dare to object?
You’re disobedient and unfilial. Grandpa said, in the old days, you would have been beaten to death!
You don’t understand how to be a wife and daughter-in-law. Didn’t your family teach you?
The elders are still toiling in the fields. You even ate our chickens and eggs?
You ate our chickens and eggs, and you don’t want to lay eggs for our family? You think you’re great because you have your family’s support?”
