Chapter 61
Bai Wuluo drove home with Xie Fuyi, who was drunk but surprisingly well-behaved, not making a fuss as White Wuluo attended to him.
After helping him with a simple cleanup, Bai Wuluo looked at the person on the bed, deeply mesmerized.
Bai Wuluo angrily lay down on the bed, pulling the person into his embrace. He exerted some force due to his frustration, muttering incoherently, “Brother, you really have charm, to provoke two formidable people like this… But you’ll only ever be mine.”
The night was quiet, yet the room was ablaze with intensity; the dim light at the bedside swayed through the night.
…
The next day, when Xie Fuyi woke up, he felt a familiar soreness all over his body. Especially the arm tightly wrapped around his waist and the weapon pressed against his legs made him stiffen.
He was completely sober now! Did this little rascal want to confront him?
Feeling the unfamiliar closeness of the body against him, Xie Fuyi’s dark eyes shifted, and he raised his hand to push Bai Wuluo away.
Unexpectedly, although Bai Wuluo hadn’t opened his eyes, he accurately grabbed his wrist in return, his tone slightly groggy with traces of sleepiness, “Brother, are you awake? What happened last night? I thought you didn’t drink? You got so drunk, and I had to take care of you until midnight…”
Xie Fuyi sensed the weariness in his words, and his hand hesitated in its motion to push him away. Thankfully, Bai Wuluo had brought him back last night and taken care of him…
With a gentle expression tinged with an apology, Xie Fuyi concealed his feelings, saying, “It’s nothing, just some work-related socializing.”
He cleared his throat and felt uncomfortable being held so tightly, reminding, “Wuluo, it’s normal for young men to be vigorous in the morning like this. Let go of me first, I’ll go out, and you can handle things…”
He lightly pushed the other’s chest, expecting Bai Wuluo to feel embarrassed by the reminder. But Bai Wuluo didn’t show any embarrassment; instead, his hands tightened around him like iron clamps, “Brother Xie, I feel uncomfortable.”
“Can you help me?”
He said it casually, but Xie Fuyi widened his eyes, almost kicking him out with his foot.
“What? How can this be allowed?”
Bai Wuluo’s dark eyes flickered, he yawned as if unconcerned, “What’s the matter? We’re all men. When I was studying abroad, it was normal for roommates to help each other.”
“Brother, please help me? I’m really uncomfortable.” Bai Wuluo said softly, reaching out to Xie Fuyi, “I’ll help you too…”
As he tightly embraced the person in his arms, he buried his head in the other’s neck, his low, pleading voice sounding pitiful.
It really seemed like a big dog begging for a bone.
Xie Fuyi really wanted to kick Bai Wuluo away with one foot. But how could this nice guy act like that when the other person was speaking so kindly?
Xie Fuyi’s expression seemed somewhat puzzled, and his straightforward nature initially didn’t see anything wrong. But recent events involving Xiao Yuanyi made him think a bit more. However, Bai Wuluo shouldn’t…
Xie Fuyi paused. He couldn’t possibly start assuming all men were gay just because of Xiao Yuanyi’s situation, could he?
Soft-hearted as he was, he couldn’t resist Bai Wuluo’s persuasive manner, eventually sighing and compromising, “Just this once.”
Upon getting a response, Bai Wuluo’s excitement surged like a cat stealing cream. He lowered his eyes and chuckled softly, “Brother, you’re so kind.”
How could it be just once?
With someone so easy to persuade and unable to say no, he feared that next time, with a little more pleading, Xie Fuyi might find it hard to refuse.
…
When everything was over, Xie Fuyi was still a bit dazed. Weren’t they supposed to be helping each other out?
Xie Fuyi, who had sold himself out again: …Is all this touching and cuddling normal?
Finally, unable to bear it, he kicked Bai Wuluo off the bed, went into the bathroom himself, and checked the unusual redness on his chest.
Rubbing his sore belly where he had been kicked, Bai Wuluo showed no signs of annoyance. His tall figure lazily leaned against the door, his lips unable to stop smiling, “Brother, I didn’t mean to. Don’t be angry… I was a bit confused just now, mistook you for my girlfriend…”
Before he could finish, with a thud, Xie Fuyi pushed open the door and walked out, his gentle features showing some irritation, “Shut up.”
“Oh.” Bai Wuluo looked at his beautifully shining black eyes and obediently made a zipper motion with his lips, then handed over some prepared clothes in an attempt to please, “Brother, wear this, it’s more comfortable…”
He knew Xie Fuyi’s personality well; he couldn’t keep showing him a sour face forever. As expected, after a moment of annoyance, Xie Fuyi’s expression softened again.
Xie Fuyi sighed and took the clothes, reminding her, “Wuluo, you’ve grown up too. Be prudent in everything you do in the future…”
Bai Wuluo followed him, nodding seemingly earnestly. Thinking about how Xie Fuyi had been troubled by Xiao Yuansi last night, he spoke up, “Brother, don’t worry about those rumors outside. I’ll help you solve them.”
Xie Fuyi paused, looking at him suspiciously, “Wuluo, how will you solve them? Don’t act recklessly.”
Seeing the warning in his expression, Bai Wuluo was momentarily stunned. It occurred to him that Xie Fuyi didn’t know his identity yet; he really thought he was just a idle student studying abroad.
Bai Wuluo chuckled, “Brother, I’m starting a business with my classmates. When I open an entertainment company, can I just sign you? Only you.”
He was really planning to start a company, and he was only going to sign Xie Fuyi.
But Xie Fuyi thought he was joking. Although his expression was relieved, he didn’t take it seriously, “Don’t mess around. If you’re starting a business, plan it properly. If you need money, just tell me. Don’t worry about my affairs.”
Seeing his gentle eyes, Bai Wuluo felt a warm feeling spreading in his heart, tinged with a sour sensation.
He lowered his eyes, even considering whether to confess his identity to him proactively.
Just as Bai Wuluo was about to speak up, Xie Fuyi’s phone suddenly rang. He glanced at it, surprised to see it was Ye Yunshan, waving to Bai Wuluo as he walked to the side to answer it.
The voice on the other end was cheerful, “Brother Xie, there’s progress on the director introduction I mentioned before! Wu Fei, the best director of the Golden Crane Awards, is casting for his new film, and they want you to audition.”
“Really?” Xie Fuyi’s lips curved slightly, his eyes full of warmth, “Thank you, Yunshan.”
Ye Yunshan smiled sheepishly, “I didn’t do much. My brother just sent your photo to him, and he thought you were suitable.”
Xie Fuyi paused, deeply pondering. There really wasn’t anyone he could rely on.
Bai Wuluo also heard a bit of the conversation. His dark eyes darkened. He had noticed something was off when he was cleaning up the other person last night—the spot he had been nurturing all night seemed to have been touched by another man.
…
Xie Fuyi’s acting skills and appearance were impeccable, so he easily passed the audition.
Watching Xie Fuyi’s performance during the audition, Wu Fei’s expression was complicated. He never expected that after being suppressed by Xiao Yuanyi, Xie Fuyi would still have the opportunity to work with him again, relying on his acting skills.
Xie Fuyi had a pair of beautiful and affectionate eyes. Both he and Mu Ziming were almost intoxicated when acting with Xie Fuyi.
This man indeed had the capital to make people intoxicated.
…
When Xie Fuyi finished work and returned to the hotel that day, it was already late at night. He opened the door and never expected someone to be waiting for him inside.
Ye Yunshen sat on the sofa, with neatly groomed black hair and dressed in a suit, exuding a cold and elegant demeanor.
Xie Fuyi looked at him with some surprise, “Mr. Ye?”
Ye Yunshen nodded slightly, his long legs crossed, his deep voice sounding indifferent, “Is the filming going smoothly?”
Xie Fuyi had been somewhat wary at first. A man showing up in a male actor’s hotel room late at night, could he be trying to exploit him?
But Ye Yunshen’s calm demeanor and particularly indifferent tone dispelled his suspicions.
He was thinking about this person, whom he had met twice and helped twice. Moreover, this time, the role was also due to his assistance…
After the initial surprise on Xie Fuyi’s face, he quickly returned to his usual gentle demeanor. He raised his eyebrows and smiled sincerely, “It’s going very smoothly, and I want to thank Mr. Ye for his help.” He paused, smiled warmly, and added, “Actually, you don’t have to. Previously, it was just a small favor to Miss Yunshan, and you have already helped me twice. You don’t need to…”
Ye Yunshen, with his long legs crossed, suddenly interrupted him and said, “I helped you not because of Yunshan.”
Xie Fuyi’s heart skipped a beat, then he heard Ye Yunshen say lightly—
“But because I have ulterior motives.”
