Su Yaya observed Yan Junyi’s appearance. He was undeniably handsome, and it was no wonder he enjoyed widespread fame as a celebrity recognized across China.
However, his charm wasn’t to her taste, and his style wasn’t to her liking. At best, she could only give him eight points. With this thought, Su Yaya shook her head and resumed scrolling through Weibo.
Yan Junyi seemed to take offense at this, narrowing his eyes he strode towards Su Yaya in the next moment.
“He’s approaching! Look!”
“Ahhh, he’s so handsome!”
“He seems to be smiling!”
“Is he smiling at me?”
The two girls behind Su Yaya were on the verge of fainting from excitement.
But their happiness was theirs and had nothing to do with Su Yaya. She remained indifferent, engrossed in her Weibo feed until she stumbled upon photos of delectable food posted by a blogger. Intrigued, she made a mental note to try cooking it herself once she returned home.
“Su Yaya!”
Lost in thoughts of delicious dishes, Su Yaya was startled by a pleasant male voice calling her name.
She instinctively looked up to find Yan Jinyu’s imposing figure standing before her, casting a shadow over her.
The sudden interruption caught Su Yaya off guard, leaving her momentarily speechless as she gazed at the man before her. For a moment, she had no idea what to do when she heard Yan Junyi chuckle. “You don’t remember me?”
In reality, Su Yaya didn’t know him.
As a transmigrated soul thrust into the narrative before its inception, she couldn’t possibly recognize him!
Yan Junyi stared at her watery eyes which appeared quite cute to him. The bewildered expression only confirmed his suspicion that she had no memory of him, but he didn’t mind. It wasn’t uncommon for people to forget him, throughout her life, Su Yaya had been pursued by many, yet few had truly captured her heart.
“It’s me Yan Jun. Remember now?” He pointed at himself, his gaze fixed on Su Yaya.
Searching through the memories of the original host, Su Yaya finally recalled someone named Yan Jun.
“It’s you?” She exclaimed, surprised. “Why do you look so different from when we were young?”
Indeed, in the original host’s memory, there existed a neighbor named Yan Jun, who, as a child, was short and chubby. The current Yan Junyi, however, stood tall, handsome, and well-built. A stark contrast to her memories. Even if the original host were present, she likely wouldn’t recognize him unless he revealed his identity himself!
Yan Junyi was aware of the considerable transformation he had undergone since childhood, so he offered a slight smile and said. “I’ve changed a bit. We lost touch after I moved away at the age of ten. It’s surprising to see how much more beautiful you’ve become after these years.”
Su Yaya was pleased at being complimented for her beauty. She smiled and said, “I remember when you were young…”
“Shh!” Yan Junyi hurriedly made a shushing gesture and slightly shook his head at her.
Though momentarily surprised, Su Yaya quickly understood. He didn’t want her to disclose his past appearance, which could tarnish his current image as a celebrity. Fortunately, he had shed his childhood chubbiness by the age of seven or eight, but as a prominent figure, he had to be mindful of such revelations.
