Chapter 4
The next morning, Fu Xiangze showed up at Bian Li’s door early. He pressed the doorbell several times before Bian Li came over slowly to open the door for him.
When she saw his handsome face in front of her, she was startled and rubbed her eyes sleepily.
Then I made way for him to come in, “Why are you here?” So early?
“Bring you breakfast.”
Bian Li scratched his hair and closed the door.
After Fu Xiangze arrived here, he went to the kitchen to get a sign and put breakfast on the plate just like he did at home. He said to her, “Go wash up and come over for breakfast.”
She said “oh” lightly, then staggered back to the room and went to the bathroom to wash up. Looking at herself in a daze, she had no image at all.
After changing her clothes and leaving the room, she walked to the dining table and saw that the breakfast was quite rich. She asked, “Why is there so much?”
“I didn’t know what you liked, so I just bought some at random.”
“That’s too much.”
“Eat it. If you can’t finish it, give it to me.”
Fu Xiangze looked up at her, she looked like she hadn’t woken up yet, and she probably didn’t have a regular life. This was the first time he saw her without makeup, she was fair and clean, with a bun on her head, and she looked youthful and playful like a college student.
She didn’t eat like a lady, with her mouth full of bread crumbs. Fu Xiangze looked at her like a cat and reached out to help her wipe the crumbs from the corner of her mouth. Bian Li suddenly raised his head and looked over.
Fu Xiangze asked nonchalantly, “Are there a lot of things?”
At this time, Bian Li had not yet woken up, and the little man in his head began to debate.
White guy: What’s wrong with this guy? How can he touch a girl’s face?
Black man: He’s not that casual, he’s your husband.
The white man was instantly convinced: Yes, but no matter what, we are still not very familiar with each other.
…
“Bian Li.” This shout made the little man in his head run away.
“Ah? What’s wrong?” Bian Li responded to him as if he had come back to life.
Fu Xiangze continued to ask, “Are there a lot of things?”
“It’s OK.”
“Do you want to continue renting this place?”
Bian Li thought for a while and said, “Let’s rent it first. You are going back to the team, and I am not used to living in that house by myself. I want to move back here when the time comes.”
Fu Xiangze looked at her meaningfully, vaguely remembering what the man across the street said last night, “You won’t be with her for long. I saw a man come to see her before, and it was obvious that they had an unusual relationship. Even if she wasn’t with me, she wouldn’t be with you.”
So she is not used to it or doesn’t like it?
He just said calmly, “It’s up to you.”
After breakfast, Bian Li went back to his room and packed up two boxes of things.
Fu Xiangze looked at the two suitcases and asked, “Is that all?”
“Yeah. Anyway, we’ll be coming back to live here later, so there’s no need to move all of us there.”
Fu Xiangze looked at her with cold eyes, and finally said calmly, “Let’s go.”
“Yeah.” He pulled two suitcases out to wait for the elevator. Bian Li wanted to help take one, but Fu Xiangze didn’t let him. “It’s not heavy. I can do it.”
Bian Li was relieved and said, “You’ve worked hard.”
Suddenly the man opposite opened the door and came out. Fu Xiangze glanced at the man.
He directly greeted Bian Li by passing through Fu Xiangze, “Good morning, Bian Li.” The look in his eyes when he looked at Fu Xiangze just now was full of gunpowder.
Bian Li responded politely, “Good morning, Doctor Zhou.”
Dr. Zhou looked at the luggage and asked, “Are you going on a trip?”
“No, moving.”
“Oh.” Doctor Zhou’s expression changed, but when he turned around, he still looked at Fu Xiangze provocatively.
Fu Xiangze turned a blind eye… and remained as arrogant as ever.
Entering the elevator, Bian Li stood inside, but Dr. Zhou followed closely behind him.
Doctor Zhou continued chatting and asked, “Bian Li, will you come and live here again in the future?”
“Of course.”
“That’s good. Next time my mom makes wontons, I’ll send you some.”
“Thank you, Doctor Zhou, you are so polite.”
“You’re welcome.”
When they reached the first floor and got out of the elevator, Fu Xiangze looked back at him. After Bian Li greeted Dr. Zhou, he quickly followed Fu Xiangze.
The man had long legs and walked fast, and he reached the front in just two or three steps.
Bian Li called out from behind, “Fu Xiangze, wait for me.”
This was the first time she called him by his name since he came back, and she called him by his full name, so clear and concise.
Fu Xiangze heard it, but he didn’t stop to wait for her. He said in front, “You continue to talk to your doctor Zhou.”
I don’t know when Bian Li appeared beside him. “What are you talking about?”
Fu Xiangze paused and said, “It’s okay.” He continued to quicken his pace and move forward.
After the two got in the car, Fu Xiangze drove quietly all the way.
At this moment, he himself didn’t know why he felt uncomfortable. He just saw the two of them chatting so happily and talking more than when they met.
Fu Xiangze asked, looking for trouble, “Why don’t you speak?”
Bian Li was puzzled. “What’s wrong?”
“Weren’t you chatting happily with someone just now? Why don’t you talk when you’re with me?”
Bian Li was speechless. “Isn’t that polite of me? If someone asks me, I have to answer, right?”
Fu Xiangze didn’t know what was going on. He used to be very stable, but today he was inexplicably angry and said such childish words, which was not like himself at all.
Where did your usual training go?
Bian Li ignored him and turned to look out the window. His cousin Fang Yixing called.
Bian Li quickly picked up the call, “Brother, how come you have time to call me?”
“Well, I heard from my mom that you are moving?”
Bian Li said in a low voice, “Yeah.”
“Do you need help?”
“No, there’s not much stuff. Fu Xiangze and I can handle it. By the way, aren’t you going to work today?”
“My mother was so happy when she heard that her son-in-law was coming back to see them that she insisted that I change my shift today and have a rest so that I can go home for dinner in the evening.”
Bian Li smiled, turned around and saw that the “son-in-law” next to her didn’t look too bad. She smiled and continued, “If you bring your wife back, your uncle and aunt will be happier.”
“Stop joking with me. I’m so busy at work, I don’t have time to deal with these things.” The two chatted for a few more sentences before hanging up the phone.
Suddenly, Fu Xiangze’s phone rang. His phone was connected to the car’s Bluetooth, so he answered it directly. A burst of laughter rang out in the car, “Uncle Fu, I heard you’re back?”
You don’t need to look to know that this joking voice comes from Fu Xiangze’s childhood friend.
Fu Xiangze replied indifferently, “What’s the matter?”
“Want to go out for a drink tonight?”
“No time.”
“No time? How can you not have time? You said that you used to come back and would take the initiative to look for us brothers to have a few drinks. Now that you are married, you don’t need brothers anymore? Do you think your sister-in-law is too strict with you?”
Fu Xiangze glanced at Bian Li, who also looked at him. He thought he would deny it directly, but he didn’t expect him to say, “Indeed, as soon as I got home, your sister-in-law started to control me and didn’t let me go out to play, saying that I had finally taken a vacation and should stay at home with my wife.”
Bian Quer, “…”
“Hey, brother, you’re not henpecked, are you?”
“Yeah, I am.”
“Why do you live such a miserable life after getting married?”
“Hey, how can you singles understand life after marriage?”
“Hey, Fu Xiangze, you bastard.”
Bian Li was listening to him talking to his childhood friend on the phone like they were performing a crosstalk, and he couldn’t help but smile.
I was sitting in the car, and someone called me on the phone…
Fu Xiangze glanced at Bian Li in the rearview mirror and replied, “I’m going to Bian Li’s house for dinner tonight.”
“Okay. Hey, you married so young that you’re too busy to care about your brothers. You’re no longer the Fu Fu I knew.”
Fu Xiangze couldn’t stand it anymore, “Are you okay?”
“Yes, when are you going to move into your new house? We will go and warm up your house.”
“The time has not been determined yet. I’ll tell you when the time comes.”
“Okay. Hey…”
“Are you done yet?”
“Why are you in such a hurry to hang up on me?”
“I’m busy now.”
“Okay, okay, let’s make an appointment later.” Fu Xiangze hung up before he could finish his words.
