Reader Advisory:
Welcome to a raw, unfiltered post-apocalyptic power fantasy. This story is pure escapism, diving into a world where the rules are broken and survival is paramount.
To be upfront, you will encounter:
1. Racism & Xenophobia: On a few, very brief occasions, characters will utter racist slurs or xenophobic remarks. These are isolated character flaws or extreme situational reactions within the fiction. They are not a running theme or a reflection of the narrative’s core message.
2. Misogyny & Objectification: The story’s unique power system and the protagonist’s journey involve elements that can be seen as misogynistic, with female characters sometimes objectified or in transactional relationships. This is tied to the specific mechanics and brutal realities of this fictional setting and the protagonist’s initial characterization, not a broader commentary.
3. Aggressive Nationalism: Infrequent, character-specific expressions of aggressive nationalism may appear.
4.Genre-Typical Violence & Morality: Expect violence and morally grey actions as characters fight to exist.
Our Intent & The Author’s Approach:
These challenging elements are employed strictly as fictional devices. They are intended to:
1. Illustrate the depravity and breakdown of society in this specific, extreme apocalyptic scenario.
2. Serve as plot points or highlight character flaws within this imagined world.
3. They are not an endorsement of such views, nor do they represent a pervasive ideology within the story or from its author. The primary focus is on the adventure, power progression, and survival.
4. Think of these moments as brief, jarring spikes in an otherwise action-packed narrative, designed for dramatic effect or to showcase the harshness of the world, rather than a consistent or endorsed viewpoint.
We encourage you to view this story as the fictional construct it is. If you can contextualize these infrequent, plot-driven elements, we believe you’ll find a compelling and engaging tale.
Reader discretion is, as always, advised.

1: Black Fog Cataclysm, Infinite Supplies.
Shen Yi swung his hand behind him and slammed the dorm door shut, and the metallic click rang sharply in the silent room.
He strode to the bed, dropped onto it, pulled out his phone, and tapped the screen quickly before posting an eye-catching ad in the Shancheng University Student Chat Group:
Foreign Languages Class 301, Shen Yi: [@Everyone, the apocalypse is ruthless but people are kind; I’ll take in any girls short on food or water, I have unopened bottles of Shuaishifu mineral water that definitely aren’t contaminated, just be pretty with a good figure, DM me and I’ll feed you all you want!]
The moment the post appeared, the group exploded like water splashing into hot oil.
Computer Science Class 202, Li Yang: [Bro, are you feverish and talking nonsense?]
Foreign Languages Class 301’s self-proclaimed campus hunk, Wang Yu: [WTF, Shen Yi!?]
Literature Class 203, Chen Xiaoxiao: [Creep! You think two bottles of water let you blackmail women, disgusting! You really believe the end of the world lets you do whatever you want?]
Student Council President, Zhang Hao: [@Foreign Languages Shen Yi, classmate, this is a special time, you should hand over all your food so everyone can share and help each other survive!]
Literature Class 203, Su Yao: [So gross, pervert, are all Foreign Languages guys this disgusting?]
Foreign Languages Class 301, Qin Haoran: [Stop the blanket slander, OK? I’m in the same class as Shen Yi; before the apocalypse he was a loser… average looks, no money, just a web-novel addict who spouts this insane stuff; normal guys like us are different, even in doomsday we still have basic morals like protecting women and children first!]
Dormitory Manager Aunt Zhao from Campus A: [This student has no manners, objectifying women; if I knew which dorm he was in I’d teach him a lesson! People like him don’t deserve college!]
Art Class 303, Liu Yue: [Where’s the admin? Kick this pervert out and stop polluting the chat!]
… … … … Member Foreign Languages Class 301, Shen Yi, has been removed from the group… … … …
Shen Yi looked at the prompt with a calm face and deftly switched to an alt account.
Since the sudden Black Fog Cataclysm began, he had registered several alts and added them all to the campus groups in case his main account got kicked.
Right now, it wasn’t just the Shancheng University Student Chat Group condemning him.
A casual glance at his screen showed the upper-right corners of more than a dozen campus groups flashing a bright red 99+.
Opening any of them, he saw students calling him crazy, a loser, a creep, mocking him for showing off when he only had a few bottles of water.
Yet behind the public scolding, plenty of students messaged privately asking for water, and some even threatened to cause trouble if he refused; Shen Yi replied “idiot” and blocked them outright.
It’s the damned apocalypse… like I’d let you bully me!
Besides, water was now so precious it was practically a non-renewable resource.
Barely 10-plus hours ago, a strange black fog had shrouded the globe without warning, and most water sources were instantly contaminated by unknown bacteria.
Anyone who drank the tainted water either vomited and had diarrhea until half-dead or simply died outright.
Only well-stored, tightly sealed food and water that hadn’t been exposed to the fog for long were barely edible.
The value of water and food kept climbing.
Just moments ago a rich kid in the chat offered 500 yuan for a bottle of mineral water, yet nobody sold.
Shen Yi stood up, walked to the window, wiped a hand across the grimy glass, and peered through the small clean patch toward the ground.
The once bustling, youthful campus path was now swallowed by rolling black smoke.
The fog was as thick as ink, surging and boiling, burying every view beneath it.
Luckily the eerie fog stopped exactly at the 5th floor, still one level below his 6th-floor dorm.
Shen Yi secretly thanked his luck; if he hadn’t caught a cold yesterday and taken sick leave, he’d likely be trapped in a classroom like his roommates.
Rumor said that inhaling the fog didn’t kill immediately but triggered an uncontrollable thirst that made you desperate to drink, and without water you would die of dehydration in just a few hours.
Under normal circumstances a person could go almost 2 days without water through sheer willpower.
But after inhaling the fog, 5 or 6 hours without water became life-threatening.
Even so, Shen Yi wasn’t scared of the fog climbing higher.
After all, he had endless water.
Around 10 hours earlier, a crisp yet mysterious voice had suddenly sounded in his ear.
[Congratulations, you have unlocked the Infinite Supplies System, current unlocked item: Shuaishifu mineral water!]
[Please work hard to unlock more items; each new item will activate a +1 per second effect.]
[Congratulations, you have unlocked an infinite System Space; all items you acquire will be stored there automatically, and you may retrieve or deposit them at will.]
[Your System Space currently contains: 55 165 bottles of mineral water.]
What shocked Shen Yi even more was that this number kept jumping crazily before his eyes.
Every second, another bottle appeared.
One bottle per second meant 60 per minute, 3 600 per hour, and a staggering 86 400 per day… enough not just for drinking but for daily baths if he felt like it.
With such a heaven-defying cheat, Shen Yi never had to worry about water again.
Still, water alone wasn’t enough; to survive long term in this perilous world he had to unlock more kinds of supplies.
The key to unlocking them was taking in beautiful women.
Each beauty who met the system’s standards would unlock a brand-new item.
So far he hadn’t found any qualifying girls, but…
Shen Yi believed he eventually would.
After all, Shancheng University had tens of thousands of students; even if only a third were female and just 1 % of them met the standards, that was plenty for farming supplies.
As long as he unlocked any random item, the +1-per-second rate would give him more than he could ever squander.
“Aaaah!”
“Help, help! Somebody save me!”
At that moment a blood-curdling scream rose from downstairs.
It was followed by deafening booms like a giant hammering the building, each impact making his eardrums ache.
Startled, Shen Yi rushed to the window and looked down.
He saw a male student trembling uncontrollably, gripping the railing so hard his knuckles turned white.
The boy stared at his own dorm with a face full of terror, eyes bulging as if witnessing something horrific.
Not far from his feet, an ordinary flowerpot seemed to awaken a slumbering beast as countless vines surged out at astonishing speed.
The vines writhed like gruesome pythons, racing up the wall and leaving wet, sticky trails that looked especially eerie in the dim light.
Even more horrifying, eyes… true eyeball-like spheres… sprouted along the vines.
Each sphere moved slowly as though alive, emitting a ghostly green glow.
“What the hell is that?!” Shen Yi muttered, fear flooding his heart as he instinctively backed away, his body shaking.
Just then a shrill, piercing scream ripped through the oppressive air.
Those terrified cries came from the girls’ dorm opposite.
