Chapter 4: Beating Up the Tang Family

Seeing the marriage certificate, the Tang family finally believed that Tang Xiaorou wasn’t lying; she had actually secretly gotten married.

Li Cuilan said with a heartbroken expression, “Xiaorou, you’re so foolish! How could you just marry any man?”

Hearing this, Tang Xiaorou was amused.

“Should I not get married so you can sell me off to get Tang Xiangdong a wife? You’re all so ugly, but your ambitions are quite high.”

The Tang family members all looked at her in disbelief.

Was this still the timid Tang Xiaorou who would do whatever they said?  Did getting married and having a man give her the confidence to talk back to them?

Even Qin Xueqiong couldn’t help but look at her daughter, surprised by her reaction.

Tang Xiaorou naturally knew that her behavior was drastically different from before, which would make people suspicious.  Therefore, she scratched the back of her head and said, “Do you know that I almost died today? So I’ve figured it out. If you don’t want me to live, then none of you will have an easy time either.”

Qin Xueqiong heard her daughter’s words with a heartbroken and fearful expression.

“Xiaorou, what happened? Did they hit you when I wasn’t around?”  In the end, she looked at the Tang family members with hatred in her eyes.

“Mom, it wasn’t them who hit me, but it’s directly related to them. If they hadn’t wanted to sell me to Yang Erzhu, I wouldn’t have rushed to the blind date, and I wouldn’t have hit my head and almost not woken up.”

Shen Huaixu couldn’t help but walk to Tang Xiaorou’s side and said, “You hit your head? You should have said so earlier and gone to the hospital.”

“I was worried about my mom, afraid that the Tang family would find out she stole the household registration book, and afraid that something would happen to her at home.” And her worries came true; Qin Xueqiong was beaten up and bruised, and she didn’t know if she had any internal injuries.

Qin Xueqiong heard her daughter’s words and started crying.

“Xiaorou…”

She worried about her daughter at home, and her daughter worried about her, neglecting her head injury and rushing back.

Just then, a rough voice rang out, “Tang, I’m here to pick someone up.”

Everyone turned to the courtyard entrance, and saw a tall and thin middle-aged man with a ferocious face walking in.

Qin Xueqiong’s face turned pale when she saw him. She quickly turned to Tang Xiaorou and Shen Huaixu and said, “You guys run, Yang Erzhu is here.”

Tang Xiaorou looked over and found that Yang Erzhu had come alone. “Mom, don’t worry, I’m married. Even if Yang Erzhu comes, it’s fine. They can’t do anything to me.”

Shen Huaixu also said, “Yes, with me here, nothing will happen to you.”

“But there are so many of them.”

Qin Xueqiong was still extremely worried. After all, her new son-in-law didn’t seem to be a match for the Tang family and Yang Erzhu, and her daughter had gotten married secretly.  They might beat up her new son-in-law as well.

At this time, Yang Erzhu walked in. He looked around and immediately saw Tang Xiaorou and Shen Huaixu beside her. He frowned and asked Tang Jianshe, “What’s going on? Who is this pretty boy?”

Shen Huaixu hated it when people commented on his appearance.  His eyes sharpened as he looked at Yang Erzhu and said, “I am Comrade Tang Xiaorou’s husband.”

“What?”

Yang Erzhu suddenly looked at Tang Jianshe and asked, “What’s going on? You kept saying you were going to marry Tang Erya to me, and now I’m here to pick her up, but she’s already married?”

Yang Erzhu already had a ferocious face, and in his rage, his expression became even more ferocious.

Tang Jianshe quickly went to appease him, “Erzhu, don’t worry. This dead girl stole the household registration book and secretly got married, but it’s okay. We’ll make her get a divorce and then go home with you.”

Hearing this, Tang Xiaorou was amused.  Such a father! She caught sight of a broken-legged stool on the ground, picked it up, and threw it at Tang Jianshe.

“Bang…”

“Ah…”

The stool narrowly missed Tang Jianshe’s right cheek and shattered on the ground.

Tang Jianshe’s face turned pale, and he couldn’t recover for a long time. When the stool flew over, he hadn’t had time to react. If the aim had been a little off, his head would have been split open.

“You rebellious girl, what are you doing?”

Feeling a stinging pain on his right cheek, Tang Jianshe finally reacted. He reached out and touched it, finding blood on his hand. “Rebellious girl, I’m going to beat you to death today!”

“Go ahead, I want to see if you’ll beat me to death, or if I’ll drag you all down to hell with me.”

A fierce look appeared in Tang Xiaorou’s eyes. She grabbed a thick wooden stick from the utility room behind her. “I’ve figured it out. A gentle horse is ridden to death, and a kind person is bullied.

My mother and I worked like oxen and horses in the Tang family, and in the end, you still want to bully us until there’s nothing left. So let’s just make everyone miserable.”

In the end, Tang Xiaorou aimed at Tang Jianshe, rushed over like a whirlwind, and beat him mercilessly.

“Ah…”

Tang Jianshe was caught off guard and hit on the shoulder. He was furious. Usually, only he could beat Tang Xiaorou, but today, he was being beaten by her.

Seeing this scene, the Tang family thought Tang Xiaorou had gone mad.

Grandma Tang was the quickest to react, calling to her eldest daughter-in-law, “What are you standing there for? Hurry up and stop that crazy girl with me!”

“Oh, oh, okay.”

Li Cuilan quickly followed Grandma Tang to stop Tang Xiaorou.

However, when Tang Xiaorou saw them coming, she accurately struck Tang Jianshe’s acupuncture point, causing him to fall to the ground screaming. Then she mercilessly beat Grandma Tang and Li Cuilan with the stick.

Shen Huaixu retracted his foot, which had been stepping forward. He looked at Tang Xiaorou in surprise. He didn’t expect such a small and delicate-looking girl to be so ruthless, and…

Looking at Tang Jianshe, who was lying on the ground unable to move, a gleam flashed in Shen Huaixu’s eyes. If he wasn’t mistaken, Tang Xiaorou’s strikes were very precise, something only someone familiar with human anatomy could do.

Thinking of this, Shen Huaixu couldn’t help but look at Tang Xiaorou again.

But Tang Xiaorou didn’t notice; she was busy beating people.

“Ah… You stinky girl, you actually dared to hit me!”

Grandma Tang hadn’t expected Tang Xiaorou to be this crazy, daring to hit even her own grandmother.

Li Cuilan was even worse off. Tang Xiaorou beat her without hesitation.  “Ah… Tang Erya, you damned bitch, I’ll kill you!”

Li Cuilan tried to fight back, but couldn’t escape the stick.

Tang Jianhua and Tang Xiangdong, father and son, couldn’t stand it anymore and were about to step forward when they were stopped by Shen Huaixu.

“Gentlemen, it’s not appropriate for you to interfere.”
