Chapter 4: Buy, Buy, Buy! Stockpiling Begins
Emptying the Jiang family home.
Jiang Xiangxiang knew Jiang Chenghai had a safe that he kept under lock and key, cherishing it above all else. Even his second aunt wasn’t allowed to touch it.
Now, she was going to take that safe.
Having lived in the Jiang family home for a long time, Jiang Xiangxiang knew where the second uncle hid the safe. She went straight to it, and sure enough, it was still in its old place. The only problem was she didn’t know the combination.
Jiang Xiangxiang felt a surge of frustration. This was a problem, but it didn’t matter. She’d take it first, and deal with the rest later.
Collect.
With a thought, Jiang Xiangxiang instantly stored the safe in her dimensional space. Then, she went to the kitchen, took out a windproof lighter she had confiscated in northern Myanmar, lit it, and tossed it towards the gas stove.
Since this family enjoyed harming others so much, they shouldn’t live. Let’s all go to the Western Paradise together.
Bang!
As soon as Jiang Xiangxiang left the Jiang family home, she heard a violent explosion.
Jiang Chenghai, Zhao Caiping, and Jiang Longlong.
The entire family, wiped out without even a chance to scream for help.
Let them all die!
Revenge was served.
But Jiang Xiangxiang didn’t feel particularly happy; instead, she felt a deep sense of unease.
She took a deep breath, pushing thoughts of her uncle’s family to the back of her mind. Dead was dead. Anyway, she was going to die soon, and she didn’t expect the law to deliver justice.
Thinking about her impending time travel, she needed to quickly stockpile supplies.
Food, clothing, shelter, and transportation—everything had to be arranged.
Although she already had a lot of things in her dimensional space, most of them were money and weapons. She couldn’t casually show them to others, and they weren’t useful for daily life.
They couldn’t be eaten or drunk.
So, she had to buy, buy, buy.
With that in mind, Jiang Xiangxiang avoided crowds and quietly headed towards her family’s old house. Her parents had passed away early, and the house had been empty for years. When she missed them, she would go back to clean and visit.
Now, she had only a few days left.
It was a good time to pay her respects and say goodbye.
Who knew what the future held!
The Jiang family’s old house wasn’t far; it was just across two streets.
To avoid being seen, Jiang Xiangxiang cautiously used her dimensional space to teleport back to the old house, preventing anyone from connecting her to her uncle’s death. Everything was clean and untraceable.
Back at the old house, Jiang Xiangxiang didn’t act recklessly. She first knelt before her parents’ memorial tablets, offered incense, briefly explained her recent experiences, and then got up to inspect the place.
The old house was dilapidated and had nothing of value, but after a quick cleanup, it was still habitable, serving as Jiang Xiangxiang’s temporary residence for the next few days.
After tidying up a room, Jiang Xiangxiang wrapped herself up tightly before going out, afraid of being recognized. Mask, hat, scarf, and sunglasses—she had it all.
Then, she went out to shop.
Her current task was to buy supplies.
Walking down the street, Jiang Xiangxiang saw shops lining the road, feeling a little overwhelmed.
But she had no choice. The countdown in her dimensional space was still going. Going back and forth had already wasted almost a day. Time was tight, and she had to hurry.
First, Jiang Xiangxiang found a place that made fake IDs and created a fictitious identity as a company employee. Then, she bought a phone.
After depositing a sum of money into a bank’s ATM, she started her shopping spree.
Jiang Xiangxiang planned to have everything delivered to the old house and then transfer it to her dimensional space at night when no one was around.
She bought whatever she saw.
The motto was: buy whatever you want.
After all, there were too many things to buy. She needed to purchase supplies across the board; there was nothing she didn’t need, only a matter of what to buy first and what to buy later.
Seeing the numerous boba shops on the street, Jiang Xiangxiang felt a little complicated. She had essentially lived twice. Before, she had been frugal and hadn’t dared to buy anything because she needed to save money.
Now that she had money, she wouldn’t deprive herself of anything.
She wanted to indulge herself.
Jiang Xiangxiang walked into a Starbucks and started ordering using her phone. She ordered everything she wanted, and even things she didn’t necessarily need.
Classic Coffee: 1000 cups of Latte, 1000 cups of Vanilla Latte, 1000 cups of Americano, 1000 cups of Cappuccino, 1000 cups of Mocha, 1000 cups of Espresso, 1000 cups of Espresso Macchiato, 1000 cups of Espresso Con Panna – a total of 8000 cups.
Frappuccinos: 1000 cups of Caramel Coffee Frappuccino, 1000 cups of Coffee Frappuccino, 1000 cups of Mocha Frappuccino, 1000 cups of Coffee Frappuccino, 1000 cups of Caramel Frappuccino, 1000 cups of Matcha Frappuccino – a total of 6000 cups.
Coffee and Tea: 1000 cups of Iced Macchiato, 1000 cups of Matcha Latte, 1000 cups of English Breakfast Tea, 1000 cups of Earl Grey Tea, 1000 cups of Iced Yuzu Citrus Tea, 1000 cups of Iced Lemon Tea, 1000 cups of Classic Hot Chocolate – a total of 7000 cups.
At around 30 yuan per cup, that’s 21,000 cups, totaling 630,000 yuan. She clicked “Pay.”
This operation shocked everyone.
After receiving the order, the Starbucks staff nervously looked around, initially thinking it was a prank.
Jiang Xiangxiang raised her hand, gesturing for him to come closer, and showed her fake ID to explain.
“Our company is having a team-building event, and there are a lot of people, so we ordered this much. If you can’t handle it, I can go to another store?”
“Oh, miss, you’re joking. How could we not handle it? Just tell us when you want it, and we’ll make sure it’s ready.”
The store manager rushed over, assuring her with a confident smile. Business was tough these days, and there was competition between stores. A big customer like this was a precious opportunity, and he couldn’t let it slip away.
Jiang Xiangxiang nodded. “Then I’ll trouble you. Deliver everything to this address tomorrow.”
She left the address of the old Jiang family house.
The store manager quickly took down the information and even gave her a few free drinks as a sample.
Jiang Xiangxiang didn’t refuse. After buying so much, a few free drinks weren’t excessive, right?
Next.
It was time for other stores.
A few steps from Starbucks was a Mo Xing Coffee.
Jiang Xiangxiang liked this domestic brand and went in without hesitation, starting to order from their menu.
Master Coffee: 1000 cups of Latte, 1000 cups of Cappuccino, 1000 cups of Pure White, 1000 cups of Meteor Latte, 1000 cups of Okinawa Black Latte, 1000 cups of Caramel Macchiato – a total of 6000 cups.
Little Black Cups: 1000 cups of Flower Queen, 1000 cups of Camellia, 1000 cups of Yirgacheffe, 1000 cups of Pure White, 1000 cups of Yirgacheffe Snow Coffee, 1000 cups of Ancient Purple Wind Bell – a total of 6000 cups.
Shengye Family: 1000 cups of Raw Coconut Latte, 1000 cups of Raw Coconut Velvet Latte, 1000 cups of Iced Raw Coconut Latte, 1000 cups of Meteor Raw Coconut Latte, 1000 cups of Matcha Good Drink Coconut – a total of 5000 cups.
Chinese Tea and Coffee: 1000 cups of Biluochun Latte, 1000 cups of Jasmine Latte, 1000 cups of Jasmine Sea Salt Latte, 1000 cups of Orchid Rhyme Tieguanyin Latte, 1000 cups of Osmanthus Longjing Latte – a total of 5000 cups.
Autumn and Winter Warm Coffee: 1000 cups of Toffee Hazelnut Latte, 1000 cups of Raw Cheese Latte, 1000 cups of Mascarpone Raw Cheese Latte, 1000 cups of Sauce Latte, 1000 cups of Raw Coconut Velvet Latte – a total of 5000 cups.
At around 15 yuan per cup, the total was 405,000 yuan.
Just as Jiang Xiangxiang was about to pay, the manager, having received the order, quickly rushed over to stop her.
“Miss, please wait!”
“What’s wrong?”
“Since you’re buying so much, we can give you an internal price.” The manager smiled obsequiously. “Let’s round it down to 400,000 yuan.”
This was a major client.
Jiang Xiangxiang blinked, surprised. It was a significant discount. Since she was using ill-gotten gains, she hadn’t considered bargaining.
But a discount was always welcome; she wasn’t stupid.
