The Divine Doctor’s Sweet Wife in the 70s Married the Military Commander on Their Blind Date Chapter 46

Chapter 46: Invited

After settling into their new home, Shen Huaixu and Tang Xiaorou’s little family officially moved in.

“Mom, will you miss me when I go to school?”

After spending so much time together, Xiaoliang had become accustomed to being with Tang Xiaorou and the others.  Suddenly having to go to school alone made him a little uneasy.

Tang Xiaorou hadn’t expected Xiaoliang to say that.  Seeing his inner anxiety, she gently hugged him. “Of course, Mom will miss you. I’ll pick you up when school is over.”

However, Xiaoliang refused.

“Mom, it’s very close.  Just have Uncle Bingcheng pick me up. You should go pick up Xiaoyan instead.” He knew his younger sister was also going to kindergarten.

Seeing such a well-behaved and sensible Xiaoliang, Tang Xiaorou couldn’t help but touch his head.  “Xiaoliang wants Uncle Bingcheng to pick you up? If you don’t want that, Mom will pick you up, and Uncle Bingcheng and Grandma can pick up Xiaoyan.”

“I want Uncle Bingcheng to pick me up.”

“Okay, see you tonight.”

After sending Xiaoliang off, Tang Xiaorou took Xiaoyan to the town’s kindergarten. She wasn’t worried about Xiaoliang, but she was a little concerned about Xiaoyan.  So, she stayed for a while, and seeing that Xiaoyan wasn’t crying, she left with peace of mind.

“Teacher Kong, I’ll pick Xiaoyan up this afternoon.”

“Okay, Xiaoyan’s mother, we will take good care of Xiaoyan.”

Few people sent their children to kindergarten, so there was only one in town.  As long as children were sent there, they would be well cared for.

“Teacher Kong, thank you.”

After leaving the kindergarten, Tang Xiaorou didn’t go straight home. Instead, she took a small jar of pickled vegetables she had brought and went to see Yue Yuan. She hadn’t changed his prescription last time, but calculating the time, if Yue Yuan’s pulse had changed, the prescription should be changed.

“Uncle Yue, I hope I’m not disturbing you.”

Tang Xiaorou entered Yue Yuan’s office with a smile. The woman who had made tea last time made her another cup. “Comrade, have some tea.”

“Thank you.”

Wu Mei, seeing Tang Xiaorou’s cheerful smile, quickly waved her hand. “You’re welcome, it’s my job.” Then she quickly left.

Seeing Tang Xiaorou like this, Yue Yuan couldn’t help but laugh. “You’re quite popular. As soon as you come, Little Wu offers you tea.”

“It’s all thanks to Uncle. Otherwise, she wouldn’t even glance at me.”

Tang Xiaorou didn’t waste words and went straight to the point. “I’m here to take your pulse. If your condition has improved, we need to change the prescription.”

Hearing this, Yue Yuan extended his hand for Tang Xiaorou to take his pulse.

Tang Xiaorou took his pulse carefully. After withdrawing her hand, she described Yue Yuan’s recent condition in detail, accurately mentioning everything.

“I suspect you have informants around me. You even know how many hours I sleep a day.”

Tang Xiaorou smiled. “Uncle Yue, you think too highly of me. I don’t have that ability.  Your pulse told me all this.” As she spoke, she had already picked up her pen to write the prescription.

After some consideration, she finally finalized the prescription. “Okay, start drinking this medicine today. Have someone get the medicine quickly.”

Xiao Zhao happened to come in with some documents. When he saw Tang Xiaorou, he looked her over carefully.  After learning that she was the niece of the leader who had visited last time, he frowned slightly.

“Xiao Zhao, you’re just in time. Go get the medicine for me.”

After receiving the prescription, Xiao Zhao couldn’t help but ask, “Leader, are we changing the prescription?”

“Yes, Doctor Tang just took my pulse.  We’re not taking the old prescription anymore.”

“Wh…what…she wrote the prescription for the leader?”

Xiao Zhao pointed at Tang Xiaorou in disbelief, unconsciously saying, “Can she practice medicine?  Isn’t it a haphazard prescription? At her age, she’s just an apprentice, right?”

Hearing this, Yue Yuan’s face darkened.

“Xiao Zhao, apologize to Doctor Tang immediately.”

Xiao Zhao also realized his words were inappropriate, but apologizing to a young girl was difficult. However, seeing Yue Yuan’s increasingly unhappy expression, Xiao Zhao finally apologized. “I’m sorry, Doctor Tang. I shouldn’t have said that.”

Seeing the apology, Tang Xiaorou didn’t say anything more. “It’s alright. Go get the medicine.”

“Okay.”

Xiao Zhao hurried out.  When he arrived at the pharmacy he’d visited before, he handed the prescription to the old pharmacist. This time, he proactively asked, “Doctor, can you check if there are any problems with this prescription?”

“Ah, it’s you, young man.”

Old Yu remembered Xiao Zhao. Last time, this young man had brought a precisely formulated prescription. “Is it that doctor again? Let me see.” He quickly opened the prescription. After seeing the herbs listed, he praised it profusely. “Amazing!  Brilliant! To think of combining them this way!”

Hearing this, Xiao Zhao quickly asked, “Is there a problem with this prescription?”

Old Yu glanced at Xiao Zhao. “How could you doubt a prescription from such an excellent doctor? This prescription is rare. Your family member’s condition improved after taking the previous medicine, so the prescription was modified to help your family member better absorb the medicinal properties. It’s truly remarkable.”

“But…but this prescription wasn’t written by an excellent doctor, but by a young girl.”

Hearing this, Old Yu was incredulous. “What are you saying?  A young girl wrote both prescriptions?”

Xiao Zhao nodded. “Yes, she’s very young. So, these two prescriptions are really that brilliant?”

“Of course, could I be wrong? Go around and ask. Old Yu is well-known in this area, I definitely wouldn’t be mistaken.” However, knowing it was a young girl, Old Yu’s mind became active. “A young girl with such medical skills, where does she work?”

“She doesn’t seem to have a job.”

“That’s great.”

Old Yu’s eyes lit up as he looked at Xiao Zhao. “How can I contact this girl? Can you tell me?”

Hearing this, Xiao Zhao looked at him cautiously. “Why do you want to know?”

“What else could I want? I want to invite her to work here. Don’t worry, the treatment is excellent, better than those big hospitals.”

“I…I have to ask her.”

Upon hearing this, Old Yu quickly prepared the medicine, urging Xiao Zhao to leave. “Then hurry back. When you see the girl, ask her for me. Tell her not to worry, the treatment is really good, she won’t be shortchanged. I can offer one hundred yuan a month.”

“What…”

Xiao Zhao admitted that upon hearing the salary, he felt a pang of envy. He also finally realized that Tang Xiaorou definitely had real skills, otherwise this old Chinese medicine doctor wouldn’t be so eager to invite her to work.

Upon returning, Xiao Zhao saw Tang Xiaorou was still there and immediately told her about it.

Tang Xiaorou hadn’t expected this turn of events. After thinking for a moment, she asked, “Where is that medical clinic? I’ll go and take a look myself.”
