Well, that’s it, no need to run the last lap.
“I’m sorry, Professor Qin.”
Jiang Yichen apologized.
He had been momentarily captivated.
As expected of the original novel’s heroine, her beauty was unbelievable.
Qin Ling was facing him, her hair slightly damp with sweat, a few strands clinging to her forehead.
She was breathing lightly, her full chest rising and falling with each breath…
Qin Ling was already fair-skinned, but after sweating, her skin looked even smoother and more delicate in the morning light.
Qin Ling took the towel from around her neck to wipe the sweat. “Still staring?”
“Ahem…” Jiang Yichen quickly looked away.
A moment later.
The two walked along the red track of the playground, one in front of the other.
Jiang Yichen didn’t believe that she could notice him even if he was behind her.
Experts say that looking at beautiful women can improve your mood.
Jiang Yichen thought that was very true; his mood was excellent right now.
Qin Ling didn’t stop walking, coldly saying, “Jiang Yichen.”
“Yes.”
“Come to the front.”
“Okay.”
Jiang Yichen took two large strides, moving to Qin Ling’s side.
“What’s wrong with you?” Qin Ling asked.
“What do you mean?” Jiang Yichen was puzzled.
“You’re not afraid of me anymore?” Qin Ling continued, recalling how terrified he was of her the past couple of days, maintaining a safe distance from her even in class.
Jiang Yichen responded seriously, “Professor Qin, that’s not right. When have I ever been afraid of you?”
“Heh…” Qin Ling chuckled.
“Professor Qin, let’s add each other on WeChat,” Jiang Yichen offered his WeChat QR code.
“State your problem.”
“What problem?”
“Didn’t you say you had a problem to ask me?”
“Well… it’s not a big problem,” Jiang Yichen said with a shy smile, “It’s just… can we… delete that video?”
“No.”
“No!? Professor Qin, let me remind you, you’re violating my right of publicity!” Jiang Yichen said righteously.
“So?”
Jiang Yichen: “……” Wow… she even used English.
“Professor Qin, don’t push me!”
“……” Qin Ling didn’t answer, glancing sideways at Jiang Yichen with a meaningful look.
Jiang Yichen used the harshest tone to say the most cowardly words, “Don’t make me kneel and beg you!”
First of all, force wouldn’t work; Qin Ling could break his skull with one punch.
Since force wasn’t an option, he had to try a softer approach.
“A man’s knees are worth their weight in gold,” Qin Ling reminded him.
“Not exactly, Professor Qin. The saying goes, one kneels to heaven, earth, parents, and one’s wife.”
“Oh?” Qin Ling’s voice trailed off. She stopped, turning sideways to look at Jiang Yichen with interest.
“Hehe…”
Jiang Yichen was intimidated by her gaze, giving a nervous chuckle before continuing, “Professor Qin! Just delete the video! You don’t know, every time I think about that video, I can’t sleep! It’s like I have ants crawling all over me!”
He even added a few tearful hiccups.
Even a professional actor would have given him a thumbs up.
But Qin Ling didn’t fall for it. “Keep going, keep making it up.”
“Unmoved,” Jiang Yichen commented silently.
“Are you cursing me in your heart again?” Qin Ling raised an eyebrow.
“Absolutely not, Professor Qin,” Jiang Yichen flattered, “To be honest, my admiration for you is as vast and endless as the Yangtze River…”
“Stop.” Qin Ling raised her hand to interrupt. “I’ve heard that before.”
“Um…” Jiang Yichen had a sudden idea.
“Alright, do you have any questions to ask?” Qin Ling asked.
“Yes! I do!” Jiang Yichen recalled, “Professor Qin, you didn’t assign us any pieces last class, and I don’t know what to play next time.”
“You were late and left early last time, and you still dare to mention it?”
“The main reason I was late last time was because I went to get flowers for Professor Qin… and I didn’t leave early, did I? I left right on time,” Jiang Yichen explained.
“You left class half a minute early,” Qin Ling corrected.
“No, I clearly…”
“If I say it’s so, then it’s so.”
“Okay, okay,” Jiang Yichen nodded repeatedly. You’re beautiful, so you’re right.
Qin Ling checked the time. “Alright, give me your WeChat, and I’ll send you the pieces for next class.”
“Okay!” Jiang Yichen immediately presented his QR code. “Professor Qin, how was that flower? Did you like it?”
“I threw it away.”
Qin Ling looked down at her phone, tapping lightly, and sent Jiang Yichen several song titles.
The flower, after many twists and turns, was now in the living room of her faculty apartment.
Lin Yao had played a significant role in this.
“You threw it away!?” Jiang Yichen exclaimed. That was a flower he had spent two hundred yuan on!!
How could this wasteful woman throw it away!?
“Oh, by the way,” Qin Ling added, “Five points were deducted from your overall grade.”
“What the hell!?” Jiang Yichen was agitated.
He was already a slacker, and now five points were deducted from his overall grade.
What if he failed the final exam!?
“Ten points will be deducted next time.”
Qin Ling left after saying that.
Jiang Yichen followed her, “Professor Qin, please, it’s my first time… if you deduct five points, what if I fail the final exam? I’ll have no face to see my fellow students back home and will have to look for a rooftop in the teaching building to contemplate life.”
Qin Ling didn’t respond.
This kid was really good at talking!
Just for kicking her foot bath.
She had already been merciful by not failing him directly.
“Professor Qin, please listen to me…”
“Jiang Yichen, can you be quiet for a moment.”
“Actually, Professor Qin…”
“Shut up!”
“Oh!”
Jiang Yichen silently followed Qin Ling to her faculty apartment.
Qin Ling had experienced firsthand how troublesome kids were today.
“Alright, alright, stop following me. I won’t deduct your points, okay!” Qin Ling said helplessly.
“Professor Qin, you’re so nice,” Jiang Yichen chuckled, then added brazenly, “So, Professor Qin, can you also delete the video?”
“What do you think?” Qin Ling’s face turned cold.
“I think you can.” Jiang Yichen nodded, but seeing Qin Ling’s expression, he changed his mind. “It’s okay, Professor Qin. I was just joking. Don’t worry, I’ll study hard and make progress every day!”
“Then, Professor Qin, I’ll go back now.”
Jiang Yichen politely bid farewell.
“Wait.” Qin Ling called out.
Jiang Yichen was excited, suppressing the corners of his mouth. “Ah, Professor Qin, I knew you were the best. That video…”
“Jiang Yichen, are you misunderstanding something?” Qin Ling continued. “The reason I told you to wait is to tell you that you need to handwrite the pieces I sent you in a five-line staff notebook. I’ll check them next class, and if they’re done well, I’ll add those points back to your overall grade.”
“No, Professor Qin, you didn’t say you wanted to do that! It’s what year is it? Why are we handwriting? Printing is so much more convenient!”
Jiang Yichen was immediately unhappy.
But under Qin Ling’s intense gaze, he smiled slightly, changing his expression instantly. “Okay, Professor Qin, I’ll use my hand-drawn five-line staff for next class.”
