{“Are you afraid the fish will run away from the pond?” 2}
After much thought, the only solution she came up with was to see that child again.
Only by seeing her again could she determine if this was just a coincidence or a predestined arrangement by fate.
However, the child was very young so Yu Suye also hesitated.
For one, the identity of Bian Yuan is different from ordinary people. Even if he were to do something for a loved one, he would still send the buttle to do it and would not appear in person.
So to bring out a well-protected girl from their household for her to see in person, was out of the question.
With her worth and talent, Yu Suye wasn’t sure if she was worthy of meeting someone like that.
Thinking like this, Yu Suye felt somewhat discouraged.
She pulled up the thick, dark blue bed curtain. The curtains had a shabby pattern of a starry sky on it, but it suddenly glittered in this night.
Just as she expected, the other two roommates returned one after another, complaining about the leader’s “gluttony.”
But, probably sensing that she was already in bed, their voices and movements became much quieter afterwards.
Yu Suye propped up her chin, and as expected, something unexpected happened again; she fell into the swamp of insomnia once more. But this time, her insomnia was more about her own thoughts and the future, rather than thinking about how to be better to Lin Wushen.
She tossed and turned back and forth throughout the whole night.
She repeatedly thought about the possible identity and status of that girl, the heavy shackles and obstacles she might encounter if she went to find her personally, but Yu Suye wasn’t someone who easily gave up.
Before long, she had formulated a new plan.
She was determined to make another trip to the suburban manor, and this time, she wouldn’t ask for permission.
At the Bian Household.
The suburban castle had an uninvited guest today.
It was obvious that nobody wanted to attend to her, but Yu Suye still stayed, using the excuse of discussing matters with Mr. Bianu. She wasn’t annoyed or angry when she saw the butler’s gloomy sideways face, she simply said it was necessary to see his master and him of some important matters.
“Miss Yu, if it’s not something urgent, you could just tell us.”
The meaning of “not necessarily seeing Mr. Bian” had been made very clear.
The butler said so, but the tea was still handed to Yu Suye, and she saw that the freshly plump pomegranate was still in the fruit tray, but the base of the tray seemed to have been replaced with silver, reflecting a faint silver light under the thousands of crystal lights.
She took one of the fruits in her hand.
Since she came all the way here, she could at least do that.
It was this hard to come, Yu Suye wouldn’t leave empty-handed.
She didn’t pay attention to the butler’s repelling gaze but only focused on slipping the pomegranate into her pocket, and just then she unexpectedly found a toy bell between the gap of the cold white leather sofa.
With this, Yu Suye finally found a reason to start a conversation. She lifted her face with an artificially calm and friendly smile.
“Recently, has there been a little girl playing around in Mr. Bian’s house?” Yu Suye asked eagerly, trying to maintain a calm demeanor.
The butler now seemed to understand the woman’s mind was not as simple as it seemed. Intentionally sending the child outside their home and then visiting again in the child’s name was indeed a big move.
However, with such cold weather, letting her own daughter go to someone else’s house in thin just pajamas! This woman was too heartless.
Mr. Bian wasn’t present, so the butler made up his mind to “educate” this unqualified mother for him.
“I am not sure what you are talking about.”
This was the butler’s initial response, but at the same time, Yu Suye received a warning look.
She shouldn’t have come uninvited, especially when it involved the privacy of the big boss.
But she didn’t feel shameless enough to sell gossip about Mr. Bian for money.
Yu Suye retracted her gaze, which shouldn’t have been scrutinizing, and was about to leave, but the fear of losing the only glimmer of hope she had in her long-dark heart made her stop.
she turned back, her hand resting on the cold leather sofa. She tried to force a warm smile again and asked gossipingly, “Has Mr. Bian’s family got an additional girl lately?”
She originally wanted to talk to the butler about the meeting that day, the fleeting glance on the road, and the intense feeling that might not have seemed very real to others, but before she could explain more about her reasons, the butler had already “understood” everything there was to understand.
“So eager?”
The butler seemed to have a inexplicable hostility towards her. When Yu Suye first met him, she wasn’t sure, but this time she clearly sensed it.
But after being sarcastically remarked by the butler, Yu Suye didn’t know how to respond.
She was truly at a loss for words.
Just then, the flames in the fireplace suddenly surged along with the noise at the door, and the beautiful flames leaped up, emitting a pleasant “sizzle” sound.
Someone was coming home, pushing open the heavy wooden door.
