Chapter 74
Ye Baixiao was headed to the Northern Border Wasteland, and naturally, Xie Fuyi had to follow to stir up some trouble for the sake of the plot.
Timing it perfectly, he sneaked onto the starship and hid in the bottom compartment filled with food supplies.
Before leaving, he heard that those usual companions of his had somehow offended Ye Baixiao, and he had called them over to give them each a beating.
Xie Fuyi: …
After lying among the pile of fruits in the bottom compartment for the whole day, ensuring that the starship had traveled far enough that even if discovered, it was unlikely to turn back, he finally crawled out.
Xie Fuyi pondered how to get out. Soldiers patrolled and guarded everywhere on the starship; moving around casually would be very dangerous. He feared that even before reaching Ye Baixiao, he might end up as a sieve.
As he was thinking, footsteps approached the door, and a low, slightly accented male voice said, “The estimated duration of this journey is three months. There must be no mishaps in the food logistics.”
“Yes, Captain Norman!”
As the footsteps drew nearer and the door opened, the man at the forefront had a mixed-race appearance, with deep, azure eyes, and an especially tall stature.
His gaze immediately fell on Xie Fuyi inside the compartment, locking onto him directly. “Who are you?”
The soldiers behind him immediately raised their ray guns, aiming at him.
Xie Fuyi felt a bit at a loss, hastily explaining, “I-I’m not an enemy. I came up here to find Ye Baixiao.”
His pitch-black, distinct eyes were clear, his figure slender, and there was no trace of pheromone scent around him, causing the people around to relax their guard somewhat.
“A beta? Looks even better than those Omegas.”
“He doesn’t seem to be lying, but how did he sneak in?”
“He said he’s looking for the General? Could he be another one of the General’s crazy admirers?”…
Whispers reached Xie Fuyi’s ears, irritating the usually arrogant young master.
He grabbed an apple and hurled it forcefully, “Shut up!”
Norman effortlessly caught the apple with his raised hand, a slight curve forming on his lips. He approached slowly, his burning gaze fixed on Xie Fuyi. The clothing was lavish, the features refined; he was clearly a noble young master.
And an omega at that.
These soldiers were low-level alphas, unable to discern the suppressed pheromones of an omega. But he was an A-grade alpha. Despite the concealment before him, how could he be fooled?
There had been individuals who sneaked onto starships for their General before, but Ye Baixiao barely spared them a glance, leaving their handling to him. Typically, they would arrange for them to be sent back.
But this person before him, for the first time, stirred feelings of affection in him.
So, since the General wouldn’t pay him any attention anyway, why not…
Norman’s expression remained naturally friendly, as if they were old acquaintances. “Young master, how did you end up hiding here? You’re covered in dust.”
Upon hearing his words, Xie Fuyi glanced at the dust clinging to him. The usually refined young master couldn’t hide his immense distaste. He sniffed himself, eager for a bath.
Raising his chin slightly, he asserted, “Where can I wash up? Take me there.”
Norman chuckled, “Sure, follow me.”
Xie Fuyi raised an eyebrow inwardly. Was he some kind of heartthrob in this world? Why did every alpha seem to want to take a bite out of him?
But it suited his purposes as well. Ye Baixiao wanted to marry him, didn’t he?

But it suited his purposes as well. Ye Baixiao wanted to marry him, didn’t he?
Norman gestured for the others to continue their inspection while he took Xie Fuyi to his own room.
As the captain, he had his own separate room, complete with a bathroom.
Xie Fuyi couldn’t stand his dirty appearance, so he went straight for a shower upon entering. As an Omega bathing in an Alpha’s room, he didn’t feel anything wrong, given his Alpha tendencies.
During this time, Norman had locked the doors and windows, ensuring that no pheromones would leak out to attract others.
After cleaning off the dirt, Xie Fuyi felt a bit relieved. He walked over, his eyebrows furrowed slightly, and kicked Norman’s shin, displeased. “Where’s Ye Baixiao? Let him come see me.”
Norman came back to himself, finding it somewhat amusing to hear the young master speak so imperiously. Even the king wouldn’t be so disrespectful to the General. Perhaps this young master rarely ventured outside and was pampered, unaware of the dangers of the outside world.
With a bit of calculation in his mind, Norman’s expression turned serious. “Young master, do you know what consequences await you for sneaking onto a starship? And daring to seek out the General?”
Xie Fuyi hesitated, frowning slightly in confusion. “Consequences? I haven’t done anything wrong. I just came up here to find someone…”
Norman became increasingly certain that the other knew nothing. He smirked and approached Xie Fuyi step by step, his tall figure exuding an inexplicable pressure, forcing Xie Fuyi to retreat unconsciously until he fell onto the bed.
“You’re an Omega, aren’t you?” Norman leaned down slightly, his hands bracing on the sides of the bed, his voice low and firm.
“Are you blind?” Xie Fuyi huffed angrily, truly feeling justified this time.
But Norman gently opened his shirt collar, sliding his fingers over the collar, and chuckled, “Don’t play dumb, young master. This collar is only worn by omegas, isn’t it? There are regulations in the military. If an omega is found sneaking onto a starship, they’ll be used as military prostitutes to reward the entire army.”
He spoke slowly and deliberately, leaving Xie Fuyi momentarily stunned. It was that serious?
He was frightened.
Though the young master was usually arrogant and willful, he had never encountered such a severe situation. His face showed a moment of panic, and he struggled to maintain composure, but his eyes were tinged with red, and his voice trembled as he spoke, “W-what if I’m an alpha?”
Norman paused, not understanding why the young master was so certain he was an Alpha. He raised an eyebrow, “If you’re an Alpha, it’s even easier. We’ll just toss you out into the starry sea to dry.”
Xie Fuyi shuddered, tears welling up in his eyes.
“I-I won’t look for Ye Baixiao anymore. I want to go home.”
The young master’s beautiful, bright black eyes were now misted with tears, making him look pitiful and adorable.
Norman tentatively embraced him. Seeing that Xie Fuyi didn’t resist in his fearful state, he tightened his hold, comforting him. “Don’t be afraid. Only I know your identity now. As long as I don’t say anything, you’ll be fine. After the war, I’ll send you back.”
Xie Fuyi lifted his tear-filled eyes, surprised, “Really? Thank you.”
Norman’s heart moved, he touched Xie Fuyi’s face, his eyes flashed with a faint light, and he said in a low voice: “But, my little master, what benefits do you want to give me?”
