Delayed Affection is Cheaper than Grass; Why Cry When I Depart? Chapter 3.2

He felt exhilarated at that time!

Unfortunately, twenty years later, Xu Junzhe had already monopolized the Xu family’s wealth, married and had children, and lived a prosperous life. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have dared to expose Xu Mo’s cause of death in front of his parents.

Looking back, Xu Junzhe stood proudly in front of his parents, recounting in detail the humiliation he had suffered in the Xu family over the years. Then, he proudly explained the process of killing Xu Mo.

At the age of seventeen, he realized that Xu Mo was a huge threat and colluded with his other sisters to ostracize Xu Mo.

Finally, without others knowing, he added some palladium to poison Xu Mo’s food, intending to cause Xu Mo to die from palladium poisoning.

At first, he added only a small amount of palladium, afraid to add too much, which didn’t show much effect. After the college entrance examination, he gradually increased the amount, directly causing Xu Mo to die from palladium poisoning-induced heart disease.

Second Elder Sister, Third Elder Sister, Fourth Elder Sister, and several other sisters were unaware of these things.

In fact, these sisters secretly provided him with some help, but they didn’t know that Xu Junzhe would poison Xu Mo.

Especially Third Elder Sister, Xu Manni, who had an extremely good relationship with Xu Junzhe, provided him with great assistance. Even the palladium was provided by Third Elder Sister, Xu Manni, but she didn’t know what Xu Junzhe was going to do with it.

It wasn’t until twenty years later, when Xu Junzhe confessed it himself, that Xie Bingyan and Xu Deming knew everything.

Later, after Xie Bingyan and Xu Deming were literally infuriated to death, Third Elder Sister, Xu Manni, knowing all of this, confronted Xu Junzhe. Xu Junzhe accused her of being the one who killed Xu Mo  because she was the one who provided the poison and caused Xie Bingyan and Xu Deming’s deaths due to anger.

After learning all of this, Xu Manni jumped from the twentieth floor, committing suicide by jumping off the building.

Ironically, at that time, Xu Mo was in a spiritual state, watching all of this unfold.

After Xu Manni jumped off the building, there was a brief period when she also became a spirit, seeing Xu Mo and others staring at her.

Xu Mo silently watched her, speechless…

At that time, Xu Mo should have felt relieved, watching the members of the Xu family die one after another.

Reflecting on everything he saw as a spirit, Xu Mo increasingly felt that he had wasted the past four years.

“Last year and this year, Xu Junzhe still didn’t dare to use a lot of palladium! It wasn’t until after the college entrance examination that he used it extensively, and even then, not much. Otherwise, the doctor wouldn’t have diagnosed me with a critical heart condition! My body should have no problems now, just continuous training is needed!”

Xu Mo took out a mirror and checked his head. Finding nothing serious, he applied a band-aid.

For the next three days, Xu Mo slept peacefully, attended classes, exercised his body as much as possible, and prepared nutritious meals to nourish himself.

After three days of effort, Xu Mo’s complexion improved significantly, and his face was no longer as pale.

He also went to the hospital for a check-up to ensure his body was fine.

Feeling better about his health, Xu Mo began planning his money-making project.

In this second life, Xu Mo had many money-making ideas, but with limited funds at hand, he could only start with small projects to accumulate some initial capital.

If he remembered correctly, in a few days, there would be a big storm in Xiahai City. This storm would have a significant impact, affecting dozens of cities and causing billions of yuan in losses.

After the storm, fishing boats would be unable to go out to sea for a month, causing the prices of crabs and fresh shrimp to skyrocket.

Xu Mo recalled that the prices would roughly double. If he could buy some fresh shrimp and live crabs in the next few days and stockpile them, he could definitely make a big profit after the storm.

“This room is spacious enough. I don’t need much. I just need to hold out for five or six days! I can buy a small oxygen machine to aerate the water! I still have eight thousand yuan in hand. I’ll spend a hundred yuan on waterproof cloth, a hundred yuan on a small oxygen pump, and the rest on buying fresh shrimp and crabs! Also, seawater is simple; I just need to rent a car to go to the seaside and fill a few buckets with seawater!”

Xu Mo quickly calculated the data.

Currently, he had eight thousand yuan in hand. Setting aside one thousand for food and another one thousand for tools, he had six thousand left, all of which he planned to spend on buying crabs and live shrimp.

After accounting for losses and mortality rates, he estimated he could earn over five thousand. So, after this venture, he should have over eleven thousand yuan in hand.

Not much, but it’s simple.

With over ten thousand yuan in hand, he could consider other options.

“When the storm comes, a large number of fruit trees, especially bananas, will be affected! There hasn’t been any activity in the past few days, and people haven’t reacted yet. But after the storm passes, the prices of bananas and longan will skyrocket overnight! As long as I time it right, I can turn ten thousand into twenty thousand!”

Xu Mo made his plan to earn money.

If he had twenty thousand yuan in hand, things would be simple.

“After that, it’s Bitcoin!”

Xu Mo grabbed a piece of paper and wrote down “Bitcoin” in big letters, circling it.

Undoubtedly, in the next ten years, Bitcoin would be the biggest dark horse apart from real estate.

In the span of ten years, its value had skyrocketed from $20 to a staggering $65,000 per coin, an increase of over three thousand times.

Now, anyone who invested in Bitcoin would be able to make a fortune in the future.

Xu Mo wasn’t interested in Bitcoin, but he was very interested in making money.

If he remembered correctly, this year was 2013, and the price of Bitcoin was roughly $50 per coin. By the end of the year, it could soar to $1,200 per coin, with an annual increase of over 5,800%.

Even without waiting until the year’s end, just a month later, its price could surge from $50 to $300, more than sixfold.

With his twenty thousand yuan, Xu Mo could buy two thousand Bitcoins. Then, after just one month, he could sell them off and make a profit of over a hundred thousand yuan.

If he continued to buy after a month, he could still multiply his earnings several times over as Bitcoin continued its meteoric rise.

As long as he managed things well, within a year, Xu Mo could amass a fortune of over ten million yuan. In that was Xu Mo is confident.

True to his word, Xu Mo wasted no time and immediately executed his plan. He bought waterproof cloth, an oxygen pump, and then rented a small truck to collect seawater from the beach for filtration.

His small room was located on the ground floor in the suburbs and came with a small courtyard, making it very convenient for his operations.

Once everything was in place, Xu Mo waited until school was over, then rode his bike to the pier to purchase live shrimp and crabs.

He personally selected the liveliest ones, the ones that were jumping and wriggling the most.

With only a little over six thousand yuan in hand, he couldn’t buy much. But he spent it all at once, purchasing over three hundred catties of live crabs and shrimp.

“Next, we wait for the storm to come!” Xu Mo murmured as he checked the weather forecast.
