After Becoming the Youngest Junior Sister of an Immortal Sect the Cultivation World Went Crazy for Me Chapter 7

Chapter 7: Direct…direct disciple jade token? !

Before they could react, they were sent flying several meters away.

The ground around her had been turned up, giving the area a free tilling.

“Wow” Ning Yue looked at her hands, “This can actually hurt people, it’s so cool!”

She marveled for a while, then turned to see the boy in white clothes beside her.

He was still sitting on the ground, staring blankly at Ning Yue.

Ning Yue reached out to pull him up: “Are you okay?”

The boy in white clothes blankly handed her his hand: “I’m fine…”

“What’s your name?”

The boy in white clothes looked at Ning Yue and slowly said: “My name is Jiang Yishen.”

“Nice to meet you,” Ning Yue enthusiastically shook his hand, “My name is Ning Yue.”

The richly dressed teenagers shakily stood up from the ground.

Pointing at Ning Yue: “Could you… are you from the upper realm?”

“Huh?” Ning Yue pointed at herself, “Of course not, I’m just an unremarkable little cultivation genius.”

The commotion they made attracted the attention of the managing elder.

“What are you doing!?” The managing elder frowned, his eyes sharp.

“Those who cause trouble during the disciple selection will have their candidacy revoked.  Take them away!”

Ning Yue: “Oh ho…”

The richly dressed teenager, however, seemed unafraid.

He snorted through his nostrils, raised his head, and pulled out a wooden token from his sleeve.

“Elder,” the richly dressed teenager narrowed his eyes, “This has nothing to do with us, it’s her!”

He pointed at Ning Yue: “She started the trouble. She attacked us without saying a word. I heard she’s from the lower realm and might be jealous of our origins.”

Ning Yue clapped her hands: “So shameless!”

The richly dressed teenager remained unmoved, his face contorted in anger: “If anyone should be thrown out, it should be them!”

The managing elder looked impassively at the wooden token in his hand.

Then he looked at Ning Yue and Jiang Yishen, his expression sharp: “Revoke their qualifications, throw them out!”

Several people in the sect’s uniform approached, seemingly cautious, fearing a sudden attack.

Jiang Yishen clutched his clothes, glancing around.

It seemed he was really going to be thrown out. He didn’t mind, but…

Jiang Yishen looked apologetically at Ning Yue, his eyes watery: “I’m sorry, if you hadn’t helped me…”

“It’s nothing,” Ning Yue waved her hand indifferently, curiously staring at the wooden token in the richly dressed teenager’s hand.

The managing elder had only spared them after seeing the wooden token, turning his attention to her.

“Excuse me, what is this token?”

The richly dressed teenager proudly raised his chin, carefully putting the token away.

“You’re from the lower realm, you don’t even know this. This is an outer disciple token of the Fusang Sect. I’ve already been accepted as an outer disciple of one of the Five Great Sects, so the only ones being thrown out are you.”

“Wow” Ning Yue said in an admiring tone, “It must have cost a lot of money, considering you look so incompetent.”

“Hmph, of course” The richly dressed young master was about to gloat, but suddenly realized something.

Ning Yue stood there, calmly watching him: “Do you admit you’re incompetent, or do you admit you bought your way in?”

The richly dressed young master didn’t answer, angrily shouting to the surrounding disciples: “What are you dawdling for? Throw them out!”

The managing elder looked at Ning Yue with displeasure.

“Since he’s been chosen as an outer disciple, he must have outstanding qualities. The Fusang Sect has never sold positions.”

Ning Yue propped her head up, listlessly watching the disciples cautiously approaching.

“Since there are pre selected outer disciples, are there pre-selected inner disciples?”

The managing elder remained impassive: “Of course, outer disciples have wooden tokens, inner disciples have bronze tokens.”

Ning Yue smiled: “Thank you for the explanation.”

She reached into her bosom

“I have another question…” Ning Yue said with a smile, “…What’s this jade pendant for?”

She held up the jade pendant with two fingers. The pendant was completely transparent and flawless, shining in the sunlight.

An eerie silence fell over the area…

Not only the richly dressed teenager and the disciples preparing to attack,

Even the managing elder froze in place.

He looked at the jade pendant in the girl’s hand in disbelief.

“Dir… direct disciples have jade pendants…”

An uproar immediately erupted. The surrounding disciples didn’t know whether to continue their attack or disperse, waiting for the elder’s instructions in confusion.

The richly dressed teenager’s mouth dropped open, and he took a few steps back.

“Ho… how is that possible! That’s a direct disciple token. The Fusang Sect hasn’t recruited direct disciples in years.”

Ning Yue looked at the jade pendant in her hand, not expecting it to be so useful.

She would have to thank those old men later.

She held up the jade pendant towards the elder: “Do you need to verify its authenticity?”

“No… no need.” The managing elder stammered.

He never expected that this seemingly harmless little girl would be the sect’s pre-selected direct disciple.

He was just a lowly managing elder.  He usually treated direct disciples with the utmost respect and only held some authority over the outer disciples.

So he secretly used his position to sell the sect’s wooden tokens, earning some extra money.

This little girl looked so young, she probably wouldn’t notice, right?

The managing elder made a quick decision, pointing at the richly dressed teenagers.

“You dared to falsely accuse a direct disciple, almost fooling me! The Fusang Sect has no such disciple! Throw them out! They are forbidden from entering the Fusang Sect for life!”

The richly dressed teenagers were powerless to resist and were dragged away.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t know you were a direct disciple. Even if you gave me a thousand chances, I wouldn’t dare to slander you.”

“Please forgive me this once. My parents gave me this only chance. If I go back like this, I’ll be kicked out of the family!”

Ning Yue’s expression was calm: “Why didn’t you say that when you were bullying others? Weren’t you quite proud just now?”

Ning Yue showed no intention of letting them off. The richly dressed teenager turned his gaze to the managing elder.

“Elder! Elder! My family gave you so much…”

The managing elder urgently said: “Shut his mouth! Nonsense! I’ve never known you! What family are you talking about!”

“Mmm mmm”

Only after the few were dragged out of sight did the managing elder breathe a sigh of relief.

He wondered if Ning Yue would care. He secretly glanced at Ning Yue.

The managing elder composed himself, his tone amiable.

“Your mood has been disturbed by irrelevant people.  Would the two of you like to rest in a room for a while?”

Jiang Yishen was dumbfounded, never expecting things to turn out this way. He stared blankly at Ning Yue.

“You… I… um…”

Ning Yue patted his shoulder reassuringly.

Her expression was normal, her tone calm: “Just irrelevant people.”

It seemed she hadn’t noticed.

The managing elder was relieved.

Ning Yue pulled Jiang Yishen’s hand and walked forward.

“Please arrange for us to enter the trial grounds, Elder. We’ll participate now.”
