Xu Mo couldn’t leave and had to turn back to face Xie Bingyan and the others, looking utterly disgusted, as if he had swallowed a fly.
He immediately addressed Xu Wanting, “Xu Wanting, did you bring them here?”
Xu Wanting was taken aback, her eyes reddening instantly.
“Xu Mo, how dare you call your eldest sister by her full name? Where have you been these past few days?” Xie Bingyan, furious, marched towards Xu Mo.
Seeing her approach as if to strike him, Xu Mo wasted no time. He dropped his backpack, reached out, and swiftly drew out a dagger.
“What are you doing, Xu Mo?” Xu Deming and Xu Wanting, shocked, hurried over as well.
“I don’t know why you all came here! From the looks of it, you want to hit me?” Xu Mo, gripping the dagger, stared fiercely at the three of them. “Let me tell you, I only have one life. If I die, I die. None of you will have it easy. If need be, I’ll trade my life for your three lives!”
“Do you dare?” Xie Bingyan seethed in anger.
“I have nothing to fear! If you dare lay a hand on me, I’ll do the same!” Xu Mo coldly stated.
Xie Bingyan was stunned to see Xu Mo brandishing the dagger, finding it hard to believe.
She did indeed intend to slap him to put him in his place, with the bodyguard restraining Xu Mo to prevent him from leaving.
However, she never expected Xu Mo to draw out the dagger and point it directly at her.
Xie Bingyan, enraged, exclaimed, “Xu Mo, is this how you treat me? Is this how you treat your mother?”
“My mother? Are you worthy? What kind of person are you? Who are you to be my mother?” Xu Mo spat out angrily. “I don’t want to be involved with any of you. You better leave right now!”
Xie Bingyan, furious, exclaimed, “You ungrateful child! How dare you speak to me like this? You’re making me so angry! You have no manners!”
“No manners? I am an orphan! I have been an orphan since I was young! My entire family, over a dozen of them, all perished eighteen years ago! Who do you think you are? Pretending to be my mother?” Xu Mo retorted angrily. “You better leave now. I have no connection with any of you!”
“Xu Mo, how dare you speak like this? I am your father!” Xu Deming, upon hearing this, also erupted in anger.
Xu Mo looked at Xu Deming and chuckled. He pulled out a few papers from his bag and handed them over, saying, “Mr. Xu Deming, I suggest you read these carefully. Let bygones be bygones. You all signed these documents yourselves, right? Don’t you recognize your own signatures?”
Xu Deming was stunned as he looked at the papers in Xu Mo’s hand.
“I don’t care why you’re here at No. 27 High School! It’s better if you don’t disturb me. I have no connection with any of you, nor with your family!” Xu Mo stated coldly.
Xie Bingyan, furious, exclaimed, “You, you ungrateful child, you are truly trying my patience! Are you trying to provoke me?”
Xie Bingyan was seething with anger!
“Provoke you? If that leads to your demise, wouldn’t that be even better? Let me tell you, if you dare to bully me, if your bodyguards dare to block me, I won’t hold back! I have nothing to lose. I don’t mind drawing blood from any of you!” Xu Mo declared firmly.
Xie Bingyan was shocked by Xu Mo’s words, angrily stating, “Xu Mo, do you realize what you’re saying? You, you ungrateful child, how dare… how dare you wield a knife!”
“It all depends on whether you will bully me! Xie Bingyan, I’ve let you off not once but multiple times! I’ve had enough!” Xu Mo stared coldly at her. “There won’t be a next time, never again. If you dare to touch me again, I won’t hesitate to draw blood from you! I mean what I say!”
“Do you want to drive me crazy?” Xie Bingyan seethed in anger.
“Who’s driving whom crazy?” Xu Mo erupted even more furiously. “Let me tell you, none of you will have it easy! None of you will escape! I can’t seek revenge on you now because I lack the power. But once I have the strength, each one of you will face the consequences of the humiliation and mockery I’ve endured over the past four years. I will repay you all a hundredfold!”
Xu Wanting’s delicate body suddenly trembled, and she hurriedly covered her mouth, gasping, “Uh-uh—”
She was on the verge of crying.
Xu Deming, witnessing this, was also taken aback.
Where had he seen Xu Mo like this before?
In the past, Xu Mo at the Xu family was obedient, timid, and submissive. He was always compliant with family and friends, never daring to speak out or resist, even when punished by Xie Bingyan or slapped by a few of his sisters. Sometimes, Xie Bingyan would even forbid him from eating for an entire afternoon.
However, now, Xu Mo had completely changed his demeanor, uttering such harsh and callous words, leaving Xu Deming shocked and enraged.
Xie Bingyan, needless to say, was also surprised, but more so, she was infuriated that Xu Mo dared to speak to her in such a manner.
For Xie Bingyan, Xu Mo daring to hold a knife against her was a severe challenge to her authority and a test of her patience. She found it intolerable.
“Xu Mo, do you realize what you’re saying?” Xie Bingyan’s expression turned cold, glaring at Xu Mo through gritted teeth.
“I know very well!” Xu Mo stared fearlessly at her. “Not only do I know, I am fully aware! I am aware that all of you are my enemies! Every humiliation and mockery I’ve endured over these past four years is because of you! Xie Bingyan, you will not have it easy! You will face consequences! I can’t seek revenge on you now, but someday, someone will!”
Unable to contain himself, Xu Deming erupted in anger and stepped forward, intending to slap Xu Mo’s face. However, Xu Mo swiftly brandished the knife, causing Xu Deming to halt his hand mid-air.
“I know what you’re thinking, but it’s not happening! I will not tolerate it under any circumstances!” Xu Mo stared at Xu Deming. “If you dare to make a move, I won’t hesitate to fight back, even if it means a showdown to the end!”
Xu Deming withdrew his hand, his expression turning icy. “Xu Mo, do you think you’ve grown wings? Are you planning to fly solo?”
“Fly solo? What does it matter if I do or don’t? What help did I receive in your family? What resources did I have access to? Don’t be foolish, Mr. Xu Deming. In your household, I couldn’t even get a proper meal!” Xu Mo chuckled bitterly upon seeing him retract his hand.
Xu Deming recalled Xu Mo’s habit of not coming downstairs to eat, momentarily taken aback.
“Of course! I do owe you all a few pounds of flesh and living expenses from these past years! But rest assured, I’ll repay you soon! As for that flesh, if you want it back, you can have it. I can go to the hospital and have a doctor cut it out for you!”
Xu Mo continued to chuckle bitterly. “But if you want to continue humiliating, teasing, and mocking me, then be prepared for a river of blood!”
“Xu Mo, have you gone mad? I am your mother…” Xie Bingyan erupted in anger.
“Forget it!” Xu Mo sneered. “Don’t think I don’t know that the worst in the entire Xu family is you! You’re my mother? Disgusting! What a joke!”
Enraged by his words, Xie Bingyan was about to scold Xu Mo, but Xu Wanting quickly restrained her.
“Stop! Mom, please stop! Xu Mo, put the knife away!”
Xu Mo looked at Xu Wanting and grinned. “Here to play the hero, huh! You certainly know how to seize an opportunity! Xu Wanting, I’ve never seen you so good at playing the hero before!”
Xu Wanting shuddered at his words.
“Fine, I won’t stoop to your level! Get lost, go back where you came from! High society? What a load of nonsense!” Xu Mo spat, picked up his backpack from the ground, and walked away.
One of the bodyguards hesitated, wanting to stop him.
“Let him go!” Xie Bingyan ordered furiously.
Xu Mo then headed towards the school gate. As he entered the school, he glanced back, winked, and a hint of mocking smile played on his lips.
He quickly disappeared into the school grounds!
