Chapter 19
Hao Han was sitting on the ox cart and saw Feng Moyan carrying a package and holding another package in his hand.
Si Yinni, who was following behind, was dragging a huge package, grimacing as she couldn’t move it, with a look of aggrieved expression on her face.
Why are these people so different? They all have the same body shape, but how come Sister Yan can carry so much?
Or maybe she is just too useless. She will have to eat more in the future.
Hao Han quickly got off the ox cart, looking surprised: “You brought your whole family here, aren’t you planning to go back?”
Feng Moyan seemed to be nonchalant about everything. He wiped the sweat off his forehead and said, “There’s no one at home. It’s just sitting there anyway. I just happened to need it when I came here. I don’t have to ask someone to mail it.”
“There are three more inside. Please wait a moment. They will be ready soon.”
“Nizi, wait here. I can move it by myself. Don’t make things worse.”
Si Yinni stood beside him in a daze, panting heavily, “Master, how can there be such a big difference when we have the same body shape? Could it be that we eat different food?”
Hao Han laughed out loud, he could see that Feng Moyan actually had some skills, otherwise how could he be so strong and have such a stable lower body, this was not something that could be achieved in a day or two.
He didn’t know whether to be thankful or sad. The better his skills were, the more hardships he had to endure.
It took more than ten minutes to move everything, and by the time they arrived, the rest of the people had also arrived.
Shao Wenwen started to babble again. She couldn’t stand the temper of a young lady anymore when she saw the oxcart: “Captain, you are not going to let us take the oxcart back, are you? It’s so dirty, there’s feces on it, it stinks, I won’t take it.”
Hao Han snorted coldly, his words were like a knife, “You wish, you are no match for the cow, this is used to pull luggage, you can only walk back.”
“Are you all here? Hurry up and leave, or there will be wolves on the road when it gets dark, but no one will save you. After all, you are not good at anything and you have nothing left over when you eat.”
Shao Wenwen was in a bad mood and wanted to say something, but was interrupted by Zhang Liang.
Zhang Liang also knew his uncle’s temper, so he quickly greeted the remaining educated youth to avoid leaving them here. He couldn’t afford to offend his uncle.
“Let me click on the name. Is Yang Wenjun here?”
“arrive.”
“Shao Wenwen, Jiang Yuxuan, Si Yinni, Feng Moyan, Wang Haiyang, since you are all here, let’s pack our bags and get going.”
“Jiacheng, please help them move their luggage, otherwise we won’t be able to get back in time for dinner.”
Zhang Jiacheng picked up the luggage with both hands and threw it onto the ox cart. The ox seemed a little reluctant, took two steps and made a “click” sound.
Hao Han stroked its head and said, “Thank you for your hard work today. I’ll feed you something delicious when I get back.”
Feng Moyan took out a handful of soybeans from his bag and said, “Here, eat them and then we’ll get going. These are all I have left. I’ll give you something delicious when we get there.”
These were all brought from her space, so they were just there for the purpose of being there.
Hao Han patted its buttocks, with a gentle look in his eyes: “Old buddy, you are in for a treat.”
At ten o’clock, the group walked slowly towards the Red Flag Brigade.
Shao Wenwen was so dissatisfied. If she hadn’t wanted to be closer to that guy, she wouldn’t have come to this remote place. She didn’t know when she would have a holiday.
Jiang Yuxuan walked to the side of Feng Moyan and Si Yinni and asked in a low voice: “Comrade Feng and Comrade Si, do you plan to live with the educated youth or rent a house in the village? I heard that there are usually vacant houses in the village.”
Feng Moyan kept walking, glanced at the person next to him, and said in a steady voice, with no emotion visible: “We’ll see what the situation is. The situation in each village is different.”
“Could it be that you want to move out and can’t get along with those people?”
Jiang Yuxuan whispered: “I know you, but you don’t know me. You live in the military camp, and I live in the Kyoto compound. It means the same thing.”
Feng Moyan stopped and stared at him, as if he was going to fight him in the next second.
Not only Si Yinni, but other people were also looking at them.
Zhang Liang glanced at them and said, “Are you two tired? We have only walked for half an hour. It will probably take another hour to reach the village. Be patient and rest up front.”
Feng Moyan didn’t want to delay the journey, “Nizi, follow the captain and the others, I’ll be there soon. Comrade Jiang and I knew each other before, so let’s chat for a while.”
One person in the crowd turned his head to look, then returned to normal, as if he was really just curious.
“Why are you approaching me? Are you here to spy on me too? When did the Jiang family have any contact with those low-class people?”
“You guys really want me dead. I’ve already fled to the countryside, but you still won’t let me go. Do you really want to die together?”
He didn’t understand a word of what was being said.
“What do you mean, are you saying someone is watching you?”
“Don’t get me wrong, I feel that given your situation, you would not be used to sleeping in a large bunk bed with other people, so I want to ask you to rent a house with that person.
I can fetch water, chop wood, and clean, but I can’t cook. I can pay for it, so I won’t eat for free.”
Feng Moyan breathed a sigh of relief, then continued walking forward, “Since you know me, you know the news of my parents’ death, which involves confidential information and I can’t tell you.
As a military dependent, you must have at least some vigilance. Among the educated youth this time or the next time, or even the old educated youth now, there must be someone monitoring my every move.
So I will definitely live outside, but there will definitely be risks if you follow me. If you don’t mind, then I don’t care.
But if I find out that you have bad intentions towards me, I can easily destroy the entire Jiang family. You can try it. “
Jiang Yuxuan trembled all over. Why did this man threaten him? But he didn’t care. For families like theirs, children would not dare to go to the countryside unless they had some skills.
Poor mountains and bad waters produce unruly people. It is better to be safe than sorry. No one can afford to take the risk.
“Okay, let’s make it like this. From now on, you can say that you are my distant cousin. It will make more sense for us to live together this way.”
Feng Moyan had no objection. She would ask Uncle Qiu about this person’s identity some other day. She would investigate thoroughly everyone who approached her, and she would not let her guard down even if it was Si Yinni.
The enemy’s disguises are always endless. After the two men finished their work, they quickly caught up with the team in front.
Shao Wenwen had heard of Jiang Yuxuan and was very familiar with him, as they lived in the same compound. She couldn’t help but sarcastically asked, “Jiang Yuxuan, you are so close to a woman of questionable character, do your parents know about it?
Don’t just casually hook up with other women. You don’t know what dirty thoughts they have in their minds. It will be bad for you if they get attached to you.”
She is so tired from walking now. If she can’t vent her anger, she will suffocate to death. As the most favored lady in the family, she has never suffered any loss.
Jiang Yuxuan was too lazy to pay attention to this madman and continued to chat with Feng Moyan. The three of them were laughing together, which added some fun to the hiking journey.
Shao Wenwen was so angry that she just stopped walking and sat on a stone by the roadside wiping her tears. The laces on her shoes were kicked undone.
“I’m not leaving. Whoever wants to leave can go. My feet are all blistered. I’ve never suffered such hardship before.”
In order to look good today, she wore small leather shoes with heels. Walking on such a bumpy dirt road was a real torture, and her heels were even bleeding.
She’s not being pretentious, it really hurts!
