Li Siheng also noticed Fu Wenshan’s gaze following those two. Puzzled, he asked, “What are you looking at?”
Fu Wenshan brought his gaze back and casually picked up an eggplant with his chopsticks. “Are those actors from your crew? Holding hands so openly, aren’t they afraid of being photographed?”
He actually recognized them; the person standing next to Xie Wanxing was Zhao Jinghua, Xie Wanxing’s senior. Fu Wenshan had even seen several movies he starred in before, thinking they were good at the time, but now he found them disagreeable.
Li Siheng immediately realized Fu Wenshan had misunderstood, but he didn’t dwell on it, thinking it was Fu Wenshan’s moral purity acting up again.
As he peeled crayfish, he explained to Fu Wenshan, “Don’t misunderstand. They are just close. One is a special guest actor in my crew, and the other is the male lead, Zhao Jinghua and Xie Wanxing. Even if you haven’t worked with them, you should know them. They are senior and junior brothers, completely innocent, and Zhao Jinghua has a husband.”
The last six words warmed Fu Wenshan’s complexion a bit. He realized he had just picked up the eggplant, which he disliked the most, and immediately threw it away.
But the next moment, he heard Li Siheng say, “I don’t know if Xie Wanxing has a partner, but last year when he was filming here, I was in the neighboring crew, and I saw a very good-looking young man by his side.”
Fu Wenshan’s face darkened again.
But Li Siheng didn’t notice. He thought it was highly unlikely that Xie Wanxing was Fu Wenshan’s love interest.
Because the “Unexpected encounter” production team did a good job of keeping secrets, and Fu Wenshan didn’t talk much about work, he still didn’t know that these two had already collaborated on a variety show. He still thought they were unrelated.
So he gleefully shared gossip with Fu Wenshan, “That boy must have just started college at most, and he was really good-looking, fresh and lively. He followed Xie Wanxing in and out of the set all day, especially good at acting cute. When it was cold, he would even ask Xie Wanxing to warm his hands. Not to mention you gays, even I found him adorable.”
Fu Wenshan lost his appetite. A fresh and cute college student… He gave a disdainful snort, thinking Xie Wanxing’s taste was really old-fashioned, like a nouveau riche looking for puppy love at nightclubs.
But he still tried to argue, “How can you be sure they’re lovers? What if he’s his younger brother?”
Li Siheng looked at him as if he were an idiot. “Stop it. Xie Wanxing is the youngest in his family. Besides, don’t you have a brother? Would your brother warm your hands for you?”
Fu Wenshan thought for a moment. If he asked his brother to warm his hands for him, his brother would probably beat him up first and then ask if there was something wrong with his brain.
“But why haven’t I seen him with that kid this year?” Li Siheng felt a bit regretful because the young man really suited his taste. Ignoring the implications, he pondered, “Could they have broken up? If they did, I wouldn’t mind taking over. Do you think if I asked Xie Wanxing, he would introduce him to me?”
Isn’t that obvious? Of course they broke up, because this year, the one by his side is me.
Fu Wenshan thought to himself while putting down his chopsticks, no longer eating.
He kicked Li Siheng under the table and scolded, “Can’t you fill your brain with something healthy? All you think about all day is illicit relationships.”
Li Siheng felt extremely wronged. This circle of theirs was always so chaotic and messy, and Fu Wenshan’s intense purity was truly peculiar.
Xie Wanxing sat in the private room with his senior brother, but he couldn’t enjoy the food.
Since encountering Fu Wenshan in the lobby, Zhao Jinghua had been eyeing him with a half-smile, not saying anything but observing him as if he had uncovered some secret.
Xie Wanxing, unable to bear it, took a bite of tripe and couldn’t hold back anymore. “Ge, if you have something to say, just say it. Stop staring, or I’ll develop a hole in my face from your gaze.”
Zhao Jinghua laughed. He leisurely finished a piece of beef before saying, “I have nothing particular to say. I’m just a bit nostalgic. Young people’s love is always so passionate. It’s only been a few days since you separated from him, and he’s already coming to the set to see you.” He paused, then added, “My darling Liang Yumu hasn’t even come yet.”
Xie Wanxing remembered seeing Fu Wenshan in the lobby just now. He wasn’t surprised, even had a moment of happiness.
But then he saw Li Siheng sitting across from Fu Wenshan. Seeing their close relationship, he couldn’t be sure if Fu Wenshan had come for him.
“He didn’t even tell me, so how could he be here to see me?” Xie Wanxing adjusted his mood and said calmly, “Didn’t you see he’s sitting across from Mr. Li? Mr. Li just introduced him as his childhood friend. Most likely, Fu Wenshan’s here to see him.”
Zhao Jinghua sneered, “Nonsense. He and Li Siheng haven’t slept together. What kind of good friends stick together even when filming?”
Xie Wanxing replied, “But it might still be something important.”
He focused on his food, refusing to discuss this matter further with Zhao Jinghua.
Seeing Xie Wanxing’s stubbornness, Zhao Jinghua didn’t press further. He just drank his beer, reminiscing about his university days with Liang Yumu. Ah, youth was truly wonderful. He and Liang Yumu had been so passionate back then, even before he became famous, they had already been fooling around in the small woods on campus.
As he reminisced, his lips couldn’t help but curl up, a look of springtime infatuation. Xie Wanxing, looking at him disdainfully from across the table, quickly stole a plate of crispy meat from under his nose.
Xie Wanxing and Zhao Jinghua chatted while eating, and they didn’t leave the hotpot restaurant until nine o’clock.
Zhao Jinghua had some drinks, but Xie Wanxing didn’t. However, there was a bit of alcohol in his drink earlier, so his cheeks were a bit flushed, and he only felt a bit sober after the cool evening breeze blew. The two of them leisurely walked back to the hotel and parted ways on the twelfth floor.
When Xie Wanxing opened the door to his room and glanced to the side, he saw that the hotel corridor was empty, with only the warm yellow wall lights shining from both sides.
Besides him and Zhao Jinghua, the only other people staying on this floor were the female lead actress and Li Siheng.
Xie Wanxing swiped his room card while thinking, wondering where Fu Wenshan would be staying. But he just thought about it briefly, without delving deeper, and without any intention of texting Fu Wenshan to inquire.
After entering the room, he went straight to take a shower and went to bed. The little bit of alcohol mixed in his drink made him a bit drowsy, and he wanted to get some rest early since there was a fight scene to shoot the next day.
But perhaps he fell asleep too early. Xie Wanxing woke up after only a few hours of sleep and checked his phone, finding that it was only past two in the morning.
However, he couldn’t fall back asleep. He sat on the bed for a while, then decided to order some late-night snacks from room service.
The late-night snacks arrived quickly, and when the doorbell rang, he got up from the bed to open the door. He didn’t let the waiter in but pushed the food cart in himself. However, just as he was about to close the door—
The door next to his suddenly opened, and a person dressed in black walked out, wearing a hat. With broad shoulders, narrow waist, and long legs, even just the side profile exuded an overwhelming sense of masculinity.
Xie Wanxing instinctively turned his head to look, and his eyes met Fu Wenshan, who was about to lock the door.
On the long corridor, silent and empty, only their two room doors were open, silently facing each other like living sculptures.
…..
When Fu Wenshan moved in to this floor, he didn’t think much about it, let alone inquire about where Xie Wanxing was staying. But who would have thought, in a hotel with so many rooms and floors, Xie Wanxing happened to be staying right next to him.
He had originally wanted to come out to get some fresh air since he couldn’t sleep, but upon seeing Xie Wanxing, he immediately dismissed the idea of going downstairs for a walk. He silently watched Xie Wanxing, his expression calm on the surface, but his gaze swept over Xie Wanxing’s snow-white slender neck, the thin legs exposed under the robe, and the slender waist, taking it all in.
He faintly felt that Xie Wanxing seemed to have lost a bit of weight compared to half a month ago.
“Why are you staying here?” Xie Wanxing broke the silence. He felt they couldn’t just stand there like two statues any longer, and Fu Wenshan’s gaze made him involuntarily feel a bit flushed.
Fu Wenshan, mindful of his script, replied nonchalantly, “Li Siheng is my childhood friend. I came over to see him, and I coincidentally booked a room on this floor.”
Xie Wanxing also responded with a casual “Oh.” He couldn’t say if he felt a bit disappointed, but he also thought it was normal. He never thought Fu Wenshan had come to see him in the first place.
But just as he finished thinking this, he heard Fu Wenshan slowly add, “And to check on you too on the way.”
“Check on me?” Xie Wanxing raised his eyes. His eyes were beautiful, like a deep lake, with a hint of golden color under the light. His long, curly eyelashes fluttered like the wings of a butterfly.
“Check on me?” Xie Wanxing repeated slowly. He smiled faintly, looking at Fu Wenshan with those beautiful eyes. “What’s there to check on?”
As soon as he asked this, the air in the corridor seemed to become inexplicably ambiguous. For a moment, Fu Wenshan felt like Xie Wanxing had already seen through his insincerity, seen through the pretext of coming to see Li Siheng. He was clearly here to see him.
This made him feel guilty and a little embarrassed.
But Xie Wanxing leaning against the door was too beautiful, his smile and those enchanting eyes were too captivating. Fu Wenshan hesitated for only two seconds before closing his room door.
He didn’t answer Xie Wanxing’s question but walked straight to him, taking the initiative to push Xie Wanxing into his room and then closing the door behind them.
Once the door was closed, they embraced and kissed passionately.
What did Fu Wenshan mean by “check on him”? Both of them knew exactly what it meant.
Xie Wanxing didn’t want to ask whether Fu Wenshan had come by on the way or had specifically come for him.
They weren’t lovers, just casual partners. There was no need to pry too deeply.
After more than a week of intimate contact, they had developed an understanding. Fu Wenshan soon made Xie Wanxing breathless with his kisses, his legs feeling weak, unable to stand steadily, only able to support himself by leaning on Fu Wenshan’s body.
He felt Fu Wenshan’s hand slipping into his robe, the heat of it almost instantly igniting his desire.
But he forced himself to press down Fu Wenshan’s hand. “Not today.”
Fu Wenshan, kissing his neck and lightly biting his collarbone, looked at him disapprovingly, not understanding why not.
“I have a fight scene tomorrow, I need to stay in top shape,” Xie Wanxing felt embarrassed too. Now that both of them were at the brink, him refusing seemed a bit dishonest, but he had no choice. “If we do it tonight, I won’t be able to film tomorrow.”
Fu Wenshan’s movements stopped. There was indeed no way around it. Even though he was almost driven wild by Xie Wanxing
His eyes turned red, but he still forced himself not to act like a beast.
But he lowered his head to look at Xie Wanxing, a malicious smile creeping up on his lips again. Intentionally, he used his lower body to nudge Xie Wanxing and asked him, “If we don’t do it, what will you do about this?”
Not only was he already aroused, but Xie Wanxing also didn’t look too good.
Xie Wanxing bit his lip, looking at Fu Wenshan somewhat pitifully. He felt like he was being driven crazy now too.
“I’ll go take a cold shower…” Xie Wanxing muttered.
His words sounded genuinely pitiful, and Fu Wenshan couldn’t help but laugh. He looked at Xie Wanxing in his arms and sighed, “If you catch a cold, you won’t be able to film tomorrow either.”
Xie Wanxing widened his eyes, thinking to himself that he had no other choice.
But just as he was about to finish his thought, he saw Fu Wenshan half-kneel in front of him, then lift the hem of his robe, burying his head underneath, much to Xie Wanxing’s disbelief.
