Chapter 35: Having a Child

She had no choice but to obediently sit down and eat.

The two sat opposite each other, quietly, neither of them speaking first.

This silence had a strange atmosphere.

Usually, Shi Ran wasn’t very talkative, but Lu Beiyan was different. Although he had an icy face, he was usually the one who started conversations between them.

He would occasionally serve her dishes, order her to finish her rice, and ask if she liked the food.

He was both fierce and gentle.

But yesterday, he didn’t say a word.

Even now, he still looked cold.

Shi Ran didn’t want to stay with Lu Beiyan, who was sulking, for long, afraid that she might accidentally touch his sore spot and set herself on fire.

She ate faster, and soon, her bowl was empty, and her stomach was full.

“I’m done, I’ll go upstairs.”

After returning to her room, Shi Ran used her phone to search for information about the effectiveness of emergency contraception. Confirming that it was effective within 48 hours, she went to wash up and sleep with peace of mind.

Early the next morning, she got up. Lu Beiyan wasn’t in the room, which was a relief.

After an unknown amount of time, he finally let go and whispered in her ear: “I’ll give you my life.”

Shi Ran trembled, almost succumbing to such passionate affection, but if this passionate affection was meant to make her have a child, she would absolutely not let herself be tricked.

People like Lu Beiyan could go to any lengths to get what they wanted.

Right now, he still retained his freshness towards her. When that freshness was gone, he would mercilessly kick her away.

Shi Ran’s eyes widened in shock. Lu Beiyan looked at her with dark, deep eyes, his hand lifting the hem of her clothes…

Shi Ran lay in his arms, her body soft and yielding.

As he carried her upstairs, she suddenly came to her senses.

Lu Beiyan was using this method to prevent her from going out today, or rather, to prevent her from leaving the house today.

Her period had been irregular lately, so she went to the consultation area to see a doctor.

At checkout, he took two large boxes of condoms from the cashier. The cashier was surprised, “So strong!”
