Chapter 156: Su Xiaoli Decides to Move In (Part 2/3)
Before they knew it, it was time for dinner.
Tang Feng stood up, stretching his limbs.
Working continuously for four to five hours made him feel somewhat tired.
He opened the door and stepped out from the room.
He saw Su Xiaoli sitting on the sofa, fiddling with something.
He slowly made his way downstairs.
“Xiaoli, what are you doing?” To prevent startling her, Tang Feng deliberately made his footsteps heavier when he was still seven or eight meters away.
Su Xiaoli was reading a book and instinctively hid it upon hearing Tang Feng’s voice.
“What’s the matter? Why are you hiding from me?” Tang Feng approached her with a smile.
“It’s nothing. I…” Su Xiaoli struggled to respond.
However, Tang Feng still saw the book she had hidden behind her back.
Su Xiaoli was reading a book on how to knit scarves.
Tang Feng immediately understood.
Clearly, Su Xiaoli was planning to give him a surprise.
“Why haven’t you started cooking yet?” Tang Feng changed the subject.
“I didn’t know when you would finish work, so I thought I’d wait for you to come out before cooking,” Su Xiaoli answered.
“How about I cook tonight!” Tang Feng said as he walked towards the kitchen.
“No!” Su Xiaoli quickly stepped in front of him, saying, “We already agreed that I would cook today.”
“But I’ve already finished my work, and there’s nothing else for me to do. Let me help you. That way, we can have dinner earlier,” Tang Feng negotiated with Su Xiaoli.
Su Xiaoli thought his reasoning made sense and agreed.
Together, they quickly prepared dinner.
“Are you staying over tonight?” Tang Feng asked while eating.
“Is your website done?” Su Xiaoli countered.
“Not yet!” Tang Feng shook his head, saying, “But it’s almost finished! Tomorrow I’ll mainly work on some details.”
“So, you’re saying you’ll stay here another day, right?” Su Xiaoli inquired.
“Yes,” Tang Feng nodded, saying, “I probably won’t finish tomorrow, but the day after should be about right.”
“In that case, let’s continue to stay over here,” Su Xiaoli decided.
Tang Feng’s lips curled into a bitter smile.
“What? Don’t you want to stay over with me?” Su Xiaoli noticed his expression change and couldn’t help but ask.
“No.” Tang Feng quickly shook his head, saying, “I’d love to spend every night with you here.”
“Are you speaking truthfully?” Su Xiaoli was somewhat skeptical.
“Of course! If you don’t believe me, I can swear!” Tang Feng said, raising his right hand.
“What are you doing!” Su Xiaoli quickly stopped him, saying, “I believe you.”
Tang Feng chuckled.
“Since you’re speaking truthfully, then I’ll just move out from the dormitory and live with you,” Su Xiaoli seemed to make a significant decision.
“What about your roommates? They’ll probably miss you,” Tang Feng expressed his concern.
“It’s not like we won’t see each other again. Besides, when we’re free on non-class days, we can invite them over. If we make something tasty, they can come over too,” Su Xiaoli replied.
“That’s true. Anyway, I respect your decision,” Tang Feng said.
“Then it’s happily decided! Tomorrow, I’ll find some time to go back to the dormitory, pack up a bit, and bring some change of clothes over,” Su Xiaoli smiled happily.
Just then, someone knocked on the door outside.
Tang Feng got up to open the door.
He saw Su Ming and Ning Xiao, along with six others.
“How come you’re all together?” Tang Feng was very surprised.
“Since last night, you two have been out of sight. We specifically came over to check on you,” Su Ming answered.
Tang Feng hurriedly invited them in.
“Have you guys eaten yet?” Su Xiaoli, seeing them, asked with a smile.
“We just finished eating at the cafeteria. You guys go ahead and eat!” Ning Xiao and the others sat down on the sofa.
“You guys sit for a while! We’ll finish eating quickly!” Tang Feng said as he sat down at the dining table.
“Ning Xiao, there are drinks in the fridge, help yourselves to whatever you want!” Su Xiaoli called out.
“Don’t worry about us!” Ning Xiao responded.
Soon, Tang Feng and Su Xiaoli finished their dinner.
“Boss, are you staying over here tonight?” Su Ming inquired.
“Yes!” Tang Feng nodded, saying, “I need to hurry and get the new website done.”
“What new website? Tang Feng, what are you planning now?” Yu Li immediately showed interest.
“Boss is planning to develop a new shopping website,” Su Ming answered before Tang Feng could.
“Aren’t there already shopping websites? I just ordered a pair of headphones from Yiwugo
“You ordered a pair of headphones online? Don’t they sell those in the nearby mobile phone stores?” Su Ming asked.
“They do, but it’s more expensive than online. Anyway, I’m not in a hurry to use them, ordering online is quite cost-effective,” Ning Xiao replied.
“See? Ning Xiao will definitely become a loyal user of the shopping website in the future. Zihang, when the site is operational, you can have Ning Xiao and the others help with the reviews!” Tang Feng suggested.
“No problem!” Zhu Zihang agreed readily.
“Tang Feng, how is your shopping website different from the existing Yiwugo?” Yu Li asked with interest.
“The difference is quite significant. Once the website is launched, you’ll naturally notice the differences between the two sites,” Tang Feng replied.
“When will the website be ready?” Zhu Zihang inquired.
“I’m pushing it as fast as I can! If all goes well, it should be about three days,” Tang Feng responded.
“Does that mean I should start looking for a suitable office space tomorrow?” Zhu Zihang consulted with Tang Feng.
“Yes,” Tang Feng nodded, saying, “I’ll initially put in five million as startup capital for the new company. I estimate it won’t be long before the company can seek financing.”
“Boss, I called my parents today and asked them to invest a bit,” Zhu Zihang said.
“Did they agree?” Tang Feng inquired.
“They said starting a business is risky, they can only put in a maximum of one million,” Zhu Zihang answered.
“One million is already a considerable amount! In my hometown, over ninety-five percent of families wouldn’t be able to come up with that kind of money,” Tang Feng said.
“It’s more than ninety-five percent. In my hometown, ninety-nine percent couldn’t come up with it. With a monthly salary of just over a thousand, it would take ages to save up one million,” Su Ming added.
“Yes! Even though Zihang is from Beijing, coming up with that much money isn’t easy,” Zhang Hao nodded.
