Chapter 16: Not Suitable for Children

The first soul-snatching task of the night was scheduled for 9:50 PM. Ling Yiran and Shi Yi arrived at the First Military District at 8:30 PM, where they saw several soldiers’ ghosts in military uniforms wandering around the playground.

When the ghosts saw the ghost officers entering, they scattered in all directions.

Ling Yiran spoke solemnly to the playground, “You no longer belong to the human world, so don’t linger here. Staying here won’t do you any good. Instead, if your attachment is too strong, it will affect your reincarnation. Every man wants to touch a fighter jet or tank, even if they can’t drive it; just seeing it is good enough.

Ling Yiran cleared his throat, “We’re closer to the dormitory now, so let’s take a look there first, then head to the hangar.”

Shi Yi scoffed, “What’s so interesting about a bunch of big guys?”

“Are you going or not?”

“We’re already here, so let’s take a look. Who knows if we’ll have another chance to visit the military district in the future.” Shi Yi thought going to the hangar alone wouldn’t be fun, so he decided to accompany Ling Yiran to the dormitory first.

This man was Xing Han, who had mentioned at noon that he would return to the military district.

Xing Han had just returned from exercising after dinner, unaware that someone was watching him from outside, and was preparing to take a shower after removing his shirt.

Shi Yi, who had followed, asked, “Are there any female soldiers here?”

Ling Yiran glanced at him, “Even if there are, would you dare to peek? Aren’t you afraid of losing your job as a ghost officer?”

“Being a ghost officer has taken away a lot of the fun,” Shi Yi sighed, looking at the person inside the dormitory, and praised, “This guy has a great physique.”
