Second Marriage: The Abstinent Commander’s Broken Vow Leads to a Sprained Waist Chapter 8

Chapter 8: Your Butt Was About to Hit Someone’s Face

The bus drove for a while, stopping to pick up passengers until it was packed, with no room to even stand. Only then did the driver start heading towards the countryside, no longer stopping to pick up more people.

People along the road who waved, seeing the bus, excitedly took a couple of steps forward, only to watch as the bus passed them by without stopping.

That person then started to unleash a torrent of curses.

“Xiaoyue, let’s switch seats.” Yan Shu was about to stand up when Yan Xiaoyue pulled at his clothes, and he sat back down.

“Xiaoyue, what are you doing? I want to switch seats with you so people won’t keep bumping into me.”

Yan Shu glared at Xiaoyue, puzzled.

“Second Brother, a little crowding is fine. If you stand up, you won’t have a seat.” Yan Xiaoyue had seen how, the moment her second brother’s butt left the seat, an older woman immediately tried to sit down before he could return.

Her butt was practically going to hit his face.

It was unbelievable how she could be so shameless.

Yan Xiaoyue slapped the woman’s butt. The woman started yelling, “You’re harassing me! You’re harassing me!”

The woman’s voice was so loud that the driver stopped the bus.

These days, harassment was a serious crime.

It meant jail time.

“Who? Who’s harassing anyone?” The driver yelled, holding an axe, looking terrifying.

“Him!” The woman pointed at Yan Shu, furious.

Yan Xiaoyue laughed, “Auntie, I was the one who hit your butt. If I hadn’t, I was worried you’d sit right on my second brother’s face.”

Watching the woman’s face turn red and then pale, Yan Xiaoyue continued to laugh.

“Bullshit! I was standing perfectly fine, far away from your brother!” The woman pointed at Yan Xiaoyue’s nose and started cursing.

Yan Xiaoyue was angry, but as a civilized person, she wasn’t good at cursing. After thinking for a moment, she stood up. “Rebound technique! Any curses directed at me will bounce back at you.” Yan Xiaoyue laughed, looking at the slightly overweight woman in front of her.

Since you enjoy cursing so much, go ahead.

She loved watching people curse.

“Auntie, did you grow these sunflower seeds yourself? They look pretty good. Are you selling them?”

“Yes, how many do you want?” The old woman handed a handful to Yan Xiaoyue for her to try, then took out a small bag to start filling it with seeds.

Wow, that bag looked familiar—it was a ramen noodle bag.

It was unclear where the old woman had found it.

“Ten cents a bag. Is that alright?” The old woman handed over a bag. Yan Xiaoyue glanced at Jin Chao behind her.

Jin Chao immediately started pulling out money.

The old woman happily accepted the money and handed the sunflower seeds to Jin Chao.

After seeing Jin Chao pay, Yan Xiaoyue stopped paying attention to the woman and shared half of her sunflower seeds with Yan Shu. Yan Shu glanced at her but didn’t take them.

Yan Xiaoyue, ignoring him, continued to watch the woman curse while eating sunflower seeds.

Seeing that the commotion was over a seat and the woman couldn’t find fault, the driver returned to his seat and continued driving.

“Damn it, you people who were born without butts…” Yan Xiaoyue was furious.

She could tolerate curses directed at her, but insults targeting her family were unacceptable.

With a “slap,” Yan Xiaoyue’s hand landed on the woman’s face.

Everyone on the bus looked over, even the woman who had been cursing non-stop was stunned.

This was too much.

“You dare hit me?” The woman jumped up, her large body swaying, causing the bus to shake.

Everyone held their breath, afraid that the woman would jump again and cause the bus to overturn, sending everyone into the river.

“I did hit you. Listen, you can curse me all you want, but the moment you insult my family, it’s on.”

Yan Xiaoyue glanced at the woman and yelled to everyone on the bus, “Ladies, gentlemen, are you all in a hurry? If not, I’d like to get off and take care of some personal business.”

It was the first time anyone had heard such a blunt question. Everyone looked at each other before deciding to let her go.

Hearing Yan Xiaoyue, the driver stopped. “Hurry up then.”

After the bus came to a complete stop, Yan Xiaoyue grabbed the woman’s collar and pulled her off the bus, despite the woman’s reluctance.

“What are you doing? I’m not getting off!” The woman struggled, feeling a little scared of the seemingly frail Yan Xiaoyue.

“How am I supposed to take care of my personal business without you? Come on, let’s settle this.” Yan Xiaoyue pulled the woman off the bus and stood a distance away.

“Let’s begin.”

As soon as Yan Xiaoyue finished speaking, the woman tried to run back onto the bus, but Yan Xiaoyue was faster, blocking her path.

“Don’t even think about it. Since you cursed me, you’ll have to take responsibility. Apologize now, or I’ll beat you until you do.”

Yan Xiaoyue crossed her arms, watching the woman try to run back onto the bus, refusing to apologize.

She blinked, then slapped the woman again, this time grabbing her arm.

Increasing her grip, she forced the woman to cry.

“Let go! I apologize! I’m sorry!”

The moment the woman apologized, Yan Xiaoyue released her.

“Next time, remember, you can curse me, but don’t insult my family. Otherwise, I wouldn’t mind if your family only had you left, or even if your whole family was wiped out.”

Her tone was calm but carried an undeniable threat.

It was instantly convincing.

Yan Xiaoyue got back on the bus, surprised to find her seat unoccupied.

She slowly sat down. Only then did the woman dare to get back on, carrying her small basket and sitting at the very back of the bus.

Yan Xiaoyue touched her face, not understanding why she was so frightening.

“Second Brother, do I look scary?” She rubbed her face and stared intently at her brother’s expression.

Without hesitation, he nodded.

This… She had seen her reflection before, and she wasn’t ugly.

Perhaps it was because she was too thin, and her features weren’t fully developed. With a little more time, her face would definitely be considered stunning.
