Wilderness Livestream Room [Interstellar]
Wilderness Livestream Room | Chapter: 5

[edited]

In typical variety shows, in order to prolong the audience’s anticipation and increase their expectations for the subsequent results, they often employ tactics to increase suspense time. Just like the icon in front of Su Ge it kept on jumping around and it seems like it has no intention of stopping.

After about ten seconds, Su Ge started feeling impatient. Her fingers began tapping continuously on the table in front of her.

This sense of impatience easily spread to those around her. Even though, at that moment, all the contestants were focused on the screen in front of them, Su Ge’s urgent and not-so-subtle tapping noise quickly spread.

Initially, it was only Su Ge subconsciously tapping on the table. However, after a few seconds, astonishingly, everyone in the auditorium began to follow suit, each tapping on their tables. Coupled with the undisguised expressions of impatience on their faces, even the director standing at the front felt the irritation.

Unbeknownst to her, in that moment the director at the front inexplicably thought, “These students are hard to handle,” his body reacted much faster than his mind. As his hand fell, the icon that had been continuously jumping on the big screen and on everyone’s screens finally began to slowly come to a stop.

The moon curves over the Nine Provinces, where some households rejoice while others fret.

Su Ge looked at the two remaining icons on the screen, representing the secondary initial supplies she drew. Although they differed from the primary supplies she had been silently hoping for, she was always one to go with the flow. After all, she was still better off than those who received tertiary supplies.

Sure enough, when the results appeared, the entire hall erupted in a mix of wailing and joy. Their reactions were broadcasted to various planets across the universe.

On Earth, the Minister of Interstellar Propaganda couldn’t help but exhale in relief as he looked at the two icons. His secretary and several officials sitting beside him also let out sighs of relief, saying, “Thank goodness, it’s a secondary supply. This is the best outcome.”

The Minister smiled without saying a word. While it was indeed the best outcome, it wasn’t the best for creating buzz on Earth. Getting a primary supply would have been ideal for that. After all, Su Ge, who had just topped the exam, would surely attract a lot of attention if she had lucked out with a primary supply this time. However, for Su Ge herself, the current result was the best. As a Class V planet, attracting too much attention from the start could backfire. If other planets conspired against Earth, it wouldn’t be profitable to withdraw from the show prematurely, especially considering such incidents had occurred before.

He nodded in agreement with the sentiments of the other officials. “Indeed, this is the best outcome.”

In the Milky Way galaxy, the vast audience watching the live broadcast couldn’t help but lament. How could their charming and exceptional young general only draw a tertiary supply?!

This couldn’t be happening! This blasted show must be envious of the unparalleled grace and elegance of their young general. It must be intentional!

Don’t cry, young general! We all support you!!

In the royal family’s reception room, a group of men, women, old, and young, all with the same hair and eye color as the young general, stared at the big screen. The middle-aged man sitting in the center, with an air of authority, visibly sneered, showing his dissatisfaction with the draw.

A few young people also clicked their tongues a few times. “How did Lao Wu end up with a tertiary supply?”

The calmest person in the entire reception room was the lazy noblewoman sitting on the side, who casually remarked, “Lao Wu probably used up all his luck on that face of his since childhood. Isn’t it always like this? What’s there to be surprised about?”

Everyone: =.=

Mom’s criticism is the most lethal…

Planet Morning

Audience: Hooray! We drew a primary supply package! This time, victory will surely belong to our Morning!

Planet Neptune

Audience: We only got a tertiary… What? Even Rongshi from the Milky Way Galaxy got a tertiary! Wow, that’s great! We actually got the same as Rongshi!

Lemon Star.

Audience: Which other planets got secondary supply packages? Planet Ronnie, Planet Pila… And even Earth? Oh my god, could the secondary supply package be a scam?!

…

Unlike the various celebrations unfolding throughout the universe, in the current recording hall, everyone stood in front of the supply boxes. The director was directing them on how to distribute the supply packages. “The green ones are tertiary supply packages, the brown ones are secondary supply packages, and the yellow ones are primary supply packages.”

“The aesthetics of ‘The Live Room’ are really regressing. Why choose these colors for this year’s supply packages? We still have to carry them out, it’s too damaging to our image. Do they expect me to carry this bag for a month? Oh, my heart is hurting.” A crisp but deliberately lowered voice came from Su Ge’s left, prompting her to subconsciously look in the direction of the voice.

What caught her eye was a woman standing at around 1.8 meters tall. Her skin had a light reddish-brown hue, smooth and hairless all over her body. Her features were sharp, her limbs long, but what stood out the most was the striking outfit she wore.

The design—this was probably the fashion of the Interstellar Alliance, and the colors—this too was probably the fashion of the Interstellar Alliance. ╮(╯▽╰)╭

She was a contestant from the planet Feyman, which belonged to Class II planets. However, in terms of economy alone, they exceeded Class I . The reason they still begrudgingly stayed in Class II was because their planet wasn’t known for doing anything particularly substantial in the Interstellar Alliance.

It was an exceptionally artistic planet. The government and the people dedicated their lives to only two things: making themselves look good and making themselves look even better. With such a focused expertise, they marketed their aesthetic to the entire universe, becoming one of the planets that flourished by selling clothes throughout the cosmos.

It wasn’t surprising at all for her to utter such words. Based on Su Ge’s limited understanding of the Interstellar Alliance, Feyman preferred vibrant colors, especially those eye-catching clashes that would mesmerize them.

Regarding this, Su Ge could only think—As long as you’re happy. ̄□ ̄

Turning her gaze away from the woman, Su Ge listened to the director’s overly sentimental but somewhat ineffective words while focusing her attention on the Class III supply packages in front of her.

Each of these packages stood at 80 centimeters tall and 30 to 40 centimeters wide which is perfectly spacious.

In the eyes of all the participants, the colors of these supply packs are indeed not very appealing. However, in Su Ge’s eyes, she saw much more from the colors of these supply packs.

Firstly, the space inside these packs is large, but they seem somewhat empty. This indicates that the organizers didn’t provide a lot of supplies. The reason for providing such large packs is obviously for the participants to gather supplies themselves on the deserted planet.

Secondly, the colors of these supply packs are military green, khaki, and gray-brown. These three colors are very understated, meaning they are quite concealable. Of course, this concealment is in terms of the situation on Earth.

Su Ge’s heart stirred slightly; she felt like she had guessed something extraordinary.

According to the rules, there are five items in Level One packs, four in Level Two, and three in Level Three, and each pack contains different items. So, when the supply packs are distributed to everyone, the first unified action is to open and observe them, and everyone is quite unified in not letting others know what they received.

Su Ge’s supply pack is Level Two, which contains a rope, a sharp dagger, a flint, and an empty bottle.

When she saw these four items, her heart suddenly relaxed. She was really lucky. Although she didn’t yet know what kind of environment she would land in, with Su Ge’s wilderness survival knowledge, these four items could basically meet the needs of survival in the wild.

Looking around, the faces of everyone who opened their supply packs showed various expressions, some couldn’t hide their joy, some frowned, and of course, some looked as if they had seen a ghost…

“We are about ten minutes away from arriving at the deserted planet. I will explain the rules of this live broadcast room for the last time.” The organizers acted quite quickly. After the exam, they didn’t even give the participants a chance to discuss. They directly sends them onto the spaceship bound for the deserted planet.

Standing inside the spaceship, Mipa, the guide, smiled and glanced around at all the participants. She was short, but at this moment, she seemed to exude a huge gravitational pull, attracting everyone’s gaze.

“Firstly, the duration of this live broadcast is one year. During this year, you can only live on the deserted planet. Of course, if you can’t bear it halfway, just press this button. We’ll consider you as an automatic withdrawal, and a spacecraft will come to pick you up immediately. However, your withdrawal also means your planet withdraws,” Mipa pointed to a constantly blinking red light on a wristband.

“Secondly, during your stay on the deserted planet, you can form teams by yourselves, or you can act alone. In short, you have a high degree of freedom, but please remember, there may be unknown dangers on the deserted planet. Please be responsible for your own safety.”

“Finally…” Mipa said, spreading her arms, her smile becoming even brighter. But amidst this brightness, everyone felt a thick sense of malice, “This deserted planet has been carefully selected by the organizers. It is full of mystery and excitement. I hope you all have fun here.”

As Mipa finished speaking, Su Ge suddenly felt a light shield rise around her seat which completely envelops her. It looked a bit like an egg. Before she could fully observe this peculiar egg, a sudden feeling of weightlessness rushed towards her.

The light in front of her flashed suddenly, and instead of the high-tech spaceship in her sight, there appeared a vast sea of stars…

Su Ge: ( ′д′ )

Oh…my…goodness, they, no, it seems like they’ve been thrown straight off the spaceship!!!!
