Wilderness Livestream Room [Interstellar]
Wilderness Livestream Room | Chapter: 15

[edited]

Rong Shi was highly skilled in combat, and he always enjoyed studying and mastering the fighting styles of various races. Thus, his own attack style was eclectic. However, facing Su Ge, he felt a sense of novelty he had never encountered before.

Su Ge’s marvelous combat techniques, known as “Ancient Martial Arts,” seemed to have various faces. Each of her strikes was unexpected, and her counterattacks were equally surprising. Just when Rong Shi thought Su Ge would defend, she attacked from a cunning angle, and when he expected her to confront him directly, she would gracefully retreat.

Regardless of the method Rong Shi used, he found Su Ge’s fighting style to be novel and inscrutable.

Whether human or alien, facing the unknown evokes deep awe. Just like Rong Shi at this moment, his initial disdain for Earthlings had turned into unprecedented caution. Each of his attacks was the result of countless battles he had endured, expecting them to inflict harm.

However, each outcome left Rong Shi disappointed.

Not once did he land a hit on this seemingly fragile Earth woman. The strange weapon in her hand sometimes seemed as soft as clothing and other times as hard as metal. Rong Shi couldn’t even begin to guess what material the weapon was made of, so naturally, he couldn’t dodge it.

At this moment, he suddenly felt his own ignorance. All his past combat experiences seemed so inadequate and feeble in the face of this new and mysterious “Ancient Martial Arts.”

Even Rong Shi sensed something eerie; the seemingly frail woman seemed to have a radar in the sky, predicting every one of his attacks and movements in advance.

Su Ge not only responded to all of his attacks and actions but also maximized her strengths and used them to restrain him.

In terms of strength, Earthlings were definitely inferior to those from the Milky Way Galaxy. Even before their confrontation, Rong Shi never believed this Earth woman could survive under his hands for more than five seconds.

Unfortunately, in reality, not only did this woman survive for more than five seconds, but even longer. Even in the continuous exchange of blows, Rong Shi discovered something that made him feel incredulous: he couldn’t defeat this woman, at least not in the short term.

However, failure was not something Rong Shi enjoyed. He didn’t want this failure to happen, especially in this sudden and unexpected battle. He no longer wanted to prolong the fight with Su Ge. Therefore, he immediately changed his attack strategy, discarding all his fighting skills and instead using overwhelming force to attack Su Ge.

Although many times in combat, experience and technique are essential, there’s an eternal truth that remains unchanged: in the face of overwhelming force, all experience and techniques seem insignificant.

The two fists that just burst out were propelled by Rong Shi’s determination, the force and speed accumulating together, creating a fierce wind beside Su Ge. She even heard the whooshing wind in her ears.

Su Ge, who narrowed her eyes slightly, was not intimidated by such force and speed. It’s important to note that the reason Ancient Martial Arts has almost disappeared from widespread practice isn’t due to its scarcity or lack of effectiveness, but because it requires rigorous training.

Each generation of a family may not necessarily produce a few successors. It is precisely because of this that ancient martial arts continue to innovate. They discard the dross and retain the essence, gradually replacing those performative elements. As a result, the ancient martial arts practiced today have completely distinguished themselves from modern martial arts.

If modern martial arts can be considered a visual art form, then ancient martial arts are purely a combat technique, a killing technique. So, beneath all its splendor, it conceals an undercurrent of lethal intent.

This has been honed through countless battles over thousands of years, forged through the crushing weight of countless lives. The Su family, as one of the few inheritors of ancient martial arts, naturally stands out. Su Ge, as the most outstanding inheritor of this generation, has never lost a fight.

This applies to Earthlings, and even more so to extraterrestrials.

As Rong Shi changed his fighting style, Su Ge also adapted. She no longer showed mercy, each strike appearing casual but increasingly lethal.

Rong Shi felt this change in Su Ge. Suddenly, he felt a tremendous pressure bearing down on him. He accelerated the speed of his attacks. Su Ge gracefully dodged each strike. However, on his seventeenth punch, Rong Shi, who expected Su Ge to dodge, found that she didn’t. It seemed she had forgotten.

But had she really forgotten?

Rong Shi felt a hint of joy, as if victory were assured. However, in the next moment, he felt a not-so-strong force explode directly on his wrist.

To Rong Shi, this force seemed like a small animal scratching him. Although it stung a bit, it wasn’t worth mentioning. However, what he never expected was that under this force, his fist, originally aimed straight at Su Ge’s face, seemed to be diverted by someone, pushed to the other side.

Of course, that’s not even the most surprising part. What’s truly astonishing is that Rong Shi himself had no control over this direction. His body charged uncontrollably toward where he had thrown the punch.

And where he went was not elsewhere but straight toward the four people who had come with him. Suddenly, the four who had been spectating just moments ago screamed and scattered in panic…

It wasn’t until Rong Shi’s fist charged towards the group that Su Ge stopped her hand. She swung the wooden sword in her hand while looking at the figures in the night.

Su Ge smiled almost imperceptibly, a smile tinged with a hint of hidden satisfaction. But soon, that smile disappeared from her face, as if it had never existed, replaced by an expression of extreme surprise. She turned to Rong Shi, who had stopped in his tracks and was looking at her, and exclaimed in disbelief.

“Oh my God! Rong Shi, how could it be you! I didn’t see clearly just now, you know, we Earthlings have very poor physical fitness and are prone to infections. And in the absence of light, our eyes can’t discern anything. I thought you were a wild animal, so I acted. I hope I didn’t hurt you!”

Rong Shi: “…”

I feel like you’re lying with your eyes wide open, but I can’t quite put my finger on why.
