Chapter 1: Tonight, let’s play the wedding night
Qin Yan got her marriage certificate in the morning.
By evening, she learned that the certificate she received was fake.
Her fiancé, Gu Hean, loved his “white moonlight” Lin Yan, but wanted Qin Yan’s dowry. So he first registered his marriage with Lin Yan, then forged a fake certificate to fool Qin Yan.
Once he got her dowry, he planned to cut ties with her and hold a grand wedding with Lin Yan, publicly announcing their relationship.
Qin Yan thought of how that woman leaned tearfully in Gu Hean’s arms and said: “I’ll just treat Qin Yan as your concubine. Before we go public, make her cook for me, serve me, earn money for me. Her status must never be higher than mine!”
The memory made Qin Yan’s whole body tremble with rage, her heart freezing over until even breathing felt painful.
Three years ago, Gu Hean had been in a car accident, nearly crippled. It was she who saved him, staying by his side day and night to care for him.
Six months ago, when the Gu Group was in crisis, it was she who knelt and begged for help, saving the company from bankruptcy.
And now, to please another woman, he humiliated her like this.
Ha. Did he really think Qin Yan was so easy to bully?
She drained the wine in her glass, set it down, her steps unsteady but her direction clear.
She walked straight toward Gu Hean’s greatest enemy.
Lu Qianchuan.
The CEO of the Lu Group, and the man most likely to devour the Gu Group.
“Are you single?”
Lu Qianchuan, dressed in a perfectly tailored suit, sat elegantly on the sofa. His presence alone created a natural barrier that separated him from the lively crowd no one dared to cross it.
But when Qin Yan approached, fearlessly hooked a finger under his chin, and asked that question, it was as if she had shattered that barrier underfoot.
A flash of surprise flickered in his deep, shadowed eyes.
“Answer me yes, or no.”
When he didn’t respond, Qin Yan, displeased, straddled his lap and yanked at his tie, her tone commanding.
Onlookers were terrified.
“Is this woman insane? Or has she grown tired of living?”
“She looks like Gu Hean’s fiancée. Is Gu trying to use her to mess with Lu Qianchuan?”
“Whoever she is, flirting with President Lu is suicide!”
The whispers around her grated on Qin Yan’s nerves.
Bang!
She grabbed a beer bottle from the table and smashed it to the floor.
Shards flew everywhere, and the crowd shrank back in fear.
Qin Yan’s eyes were bloodshot, her voice cold and vicious: “Shut up. I wasn’t talking to you.”
This woman was fierce.
But with Lu Qianchuan’s ruthlessness, surely she wouldn’t live long.
Lu Qianchuan raised his hand. Everyone tensed as his fingers brushed the delicate skin of her neck. With a little force, he could easily kill her in seconds.
Instead, they watched in shock as Lu Qianchuan gently pushed the loose strands of her hair back behind her shoulders, running his long fingers through them.
“…!”
The crowd’s eyes widened in disbelief.
When had the notoriously cold and ascetic Lu Qianchuan ever been so gentle?
A moment later, his razor-sharp gaze swept over them like a blade, silencing the room in an instant.
He turned his attention back to Qin Yan. Her heavy scent of alcohol told him she was drunk.
He didn’t bother arguing with a drunkard.
“Yes.”
“Use the Gu Group’s shares as my dowry, and you and I will get a marriage certificate.”
Qin Yan wasn’t negotiating. She was informing him.
Lu Qianchuan’s dark eyes deepened as he brushed away the strands of hair near her ear, his gaze fixed on her flushed, damp lips like a poisonous apple luring his every sense.
“A contractual marriage? Not interested.”
Even drunk, Qin Yan could feel the danger radiating off him. But it only piqued her curiosity.
She wound his tie around her wrist and yanked him closer.
Stopping just short of his lips, her voice low and slurred, but her words clear: “I don’t play house. If we play, we play big.”
Their breath mingled. Her wine-laced exhale brushed against his skin, and Lu Qianchuan’s Adam’s apple bobbed as though he’d been drinking too.
Still, his voice remained cool and detached. “How big do you want to play?”
Qin Yan smiled seductively, her gaze slowly trailing downward to his hips.
“That depends on how big you are.”
Lu Qianchuan’s Adam’s apple moved again, his throat dry despite the saliva gathering in his mouth.
Qin Yan felt like she was about to die suffocated from lack of air.
In the dimly lit room, he pinned her to the wall, kissing her with a force that stole every breath, giving her no chance to fight back.
Like a beast toying with its prey.
Terrifying. Savage. Bloodthirsty.
For a moment, she hesitated should she keep going?
“So inexperienced. Didn’t Gu Hean teach you anything?” he murmured, his breath ragged as he released her lips.
Hearing Gu Hean’s name cooled her blood. Of course he hadn’t taught her. When his legs were injured, he couldn’t.
And after he recovered, every time she approached him, he’d brush her off, saying girls should remain reserved.
It was just an excuse he never loved her.
That brief hesitation vanished. Qin Yan smiled up at the man before her. “Then you can teach me. Tonight, let’s start with the wedding night.”
Lu Qianchuan’s obsidian eyes burned into her.
He cupped her flushed, drunken face, his rough fingertips pressing against her soft lips.
Even with some restraint, he still kneaded her lips until they turned pale. Only when she whimpered in pain did he snap out of it, regaining a shaky hold on his self-control.
Abruptly, he shoved her away and turned to pour himself a glass of ice-cold liquor.
The sudden absence of his heat displeased Qin Yan. She staggered after him, plopping herself back onto his lap, pouting.
“You kissed me. Don’t you plan on taking responsibility? Lu Qianchuan, don’t be a scumbag.”
Lu Qianchuan took a slow sip, his Adam’s apple moving, his shirt collar rumpled from their kiss.
Yet his posture remained straight, his expression cold and imperious as he looked down at her.
“This game once you start, you won’t be able to walk away.” His voice was a low warning.
“Then you finish it for me. You brought me here, Lu Qianchuan. You have to play.”
He kissed her so savagely earlier, and now he wanted to stop? Was he playing with her?
Snatching the glass from his hand, she downed the liquor in one go.
Then, grabbing the back of his neck, she kissed him.
Her technique was clumsy and unrefined, but bold and reckless like she was trying to shatter his reason with brute force.
“Qin Yan, what do you want from me?”
She’d always avoided him before, wouldn’t even spare him a glance. And now she wanted to share a wedding bed with him?
He wanted her, but not if it meant she was selling herself for some ulterior motive.
Qin Yan gave a low laugh, her lips brushing against his ear as she whispered something softly.
He heard every word.
His pupils dilated. His reason collapsed.
In one swift motion, he hoisted her onto his shoulder and carried her toward the bedroom.
