Yu Ni’s lips curled up in a sudden, cheerful mood as she saw these typed words. Yao Mei, the girl in the game, also randomly performed a few actions. The petite girl, arms outstretched, spun freely above Jing’s head, her expression a perfect match for her joy.
After collecting the blue mana, Yu Ni followed Jing to kill the dragon. The opposing jungler, after resurrecting, approached, peering furtively from a distance, perhaps intending to come and steal it.
After Yu Ni noticed this, she suddenly remembered that Jing had used his smite when giving her the blue mana. She checked the panel and saw that the summoner spell was still on cooldown.
Her alarm bells suddenly rang. Just as she was about to call out a warning, Jing, who was currently battling the dragon, suddenly used his ultimate to shift gears. He teleported right in front of the enemy jungler, who thought he was well hidden. A flash of golden blades flashed, and the enemy’s body instantly fell to the ground.
It all happened so fast that Yu Ni didn’t react. When she came to her senses, she saw the jungler taking advantage of the situation and attacking the enemy red buff. Confused, she asked, “Are you not going to attack the dragon anymore?”
[Desperate Situation: Breakthrough (Jing)]: No, use the dragon to force a teamfight
The remaining enemy players, seeing the jungler dead, immediately retreated. Jing gave the signal to attack, and our Lian Po suddenly spun around, flashing in and knocking all four of them away.
Yu Ni’s ears rang with a cry of “show time!” Then Mark used his ultimate to swirl into the crowd, but he quickly ended up using it prematurely, barely exchanging blows with the enemy mage.
The opposing marksman’s resurrection armor was also destroyed by Xishi. The teammate and support hesitated whether to turn back to save him. In those two seconds of hesitation, Jing and Yao rushed over, defeated the newly revived Yuan Fang, and used their ultimate to pursue the two, sending them back to the fountain.
One for five, the enemy team was wiped out again. Seeing victory imminent, Yu Ni quickly jumped down from the jungle king’s head and eagerly followed the mid lane minion wave to push the crystal. Halfway through, the “Enemy Surrender” signal suddenly popped up at the top of the screen.
Yu Ni ignored it and continued running forward. Upon hearing Jing’s request to regroup, Yu Ni instinctively activated her ultimate and attached herself to him.
Then, the enemy crystal exploded with a loud bang. Only then did she look up in surprise to see Yao, hanging above the camera, clapping her hands happily, as if celebrating the victory of the game.
Yu Ni belatedly clicked the screen. Seeing her rank change from Diamond to Star Glory, her eyes widened slightly, and she excitedly exclaimed, “Mi Lu, I’m Star Glory!”
“Did you find a great player?”
“Yes, he’s amazing! The opponent saw I was low on health and wanted to kill me, but we ended up killing him two against five. His Mirror shot was amazing, and he got a pentakill! Of course, that was all thanks to my top-notch seduction.”
Yu Ni couldn’t hide her joy. She praised him effusively, then praised herself. “He even gave me the blue mana. In short, he’s a great and kind jungler!”
Mi Lu, of course, was familiar with her temper and nodded enthusiastically, “Yeah, yeah, you two are amazing.”
Yu Ni’s lips curled up proudly, and she once again admired the Star Glory V rank. Returning to the group room, she saw the team mic was on, and her smile froze.
She didn’t turn off the mic…
She didn’t turn off the mic!
Didn’t he hear all the self-praise she’d just been saying, both overtly and covertly?
Yu Ni’s confidence stemmed from her upbringing, where she was surrounded by praise. Her family doted on her. Even as a child, even when she was about to climb up a roof, she’d be praised, “Our Yu Ni is so agile.”
Influenced by this, she developed the habit of finding her strengths in every situation.
But she lacked their composure. After being caught bragging by the person involved, Yu Ni’s cheeks flushed, and she asked awkwardly, “Are you still playing?”
In the few seconds without a response, Yu Ni even prepared what to say when she went to the lobby to gather people for a duo queue. Still, she felt a pang of regret. After all, a jungler with such superb skills who could give her blue was a rare sight.
But a text message from the person soon dispelled her worries.
Yu Ni’s eyes lit up, and while waiting for a match, she couldn’t help but reveal her true colors: “We’re both so good, climbing the ranks will definitely be easy!”
Winning streak after streak, reaching over a dozen stars, Yu Ni’s game became increasingly addictive. Only when Mi Lu called her out for dinner did she stop, reluctantly.
Before logging off, Yu Ni sent a friend request to Ye Wang, arranging to play together next time: “Next time you see me playing online, just make an appointment.”
She was about to say a few more kind words, clinging to his thigh a little tighter. Hearing Mi Lu urging her at the door, Yu Ni quickly dropped a line, “By the way, you can call me Yu Ni,” and hurriedly exited the game.
The dormitory had a bed with a desk underneath, so Yu Ni, taking the easy way out, slid down the ladder.
Seeing this, Mi Lu couldn’t help but yell, “I told you not to be like that! I’m just hungry, not starving to death. Why are you in such a hurry?”
“Next time, for sure!” Yu Ni put on her shoes, ran over, and took her arm, excitedly sharing, “Mi Lu, this jungle king is amazing! I think I’m almost at the Champion level.”
She had been anxiously awaiting the Diamond to Star promotion match this afternoon, but now she was already aiming for the Champion level.
Mi Lu nodded helplessly several times, “Yes, yes, he’s incredibly talented.”
Overhearing Yu Ni calculating how many stars she needed to reach the Champion level, she suddenly asked, “By the way, have you two added each other as friends?”
“Add…” Yu Ni paused, the excitement fading. “I sent him a friend request. I wonder if he accepted it.”
She frowned. “He should have. I praised him so much today.”
Although she also praised herself along the way.
Yu Ni was a bit worried: “I’ll check online tonight.”
After dinner, Yu Ni was suddenly called in by the club leader to help out.
The music club held a monthly lawn music festival at school. The drummer, who was scheduled to perform, had suddenly developed gastroenteritis and was hospitalized. The others either had classes that evening or were away from school.
The event organizer had no choice but to bother Yu Ni, a senior who had already left the club.
The audience’s enthusiasm was unprecedented, and they added two more songs to their chorus.
After playing drums all night, Yu Ni was so exhausted that she returned to her dorm and fell asleep, completely forgetting to check online to see if Ye Wang had accepted her friend request.
She didn’t have many classes that semester, so she slept until noon the next day. She woke up hungry, and the first thing she did upon regaining consciousness was to pull out her phone and open King of Glory.
After a resounding “Timi,” Yu Ni logged into her game account. Her friend list was filled with a grayed-out, black anime avatar.
Yu Ni curled her lips and clicked into the ranked game. Seeing the two stars in the Star Glory tier three, her mood instantly brightened.
The jungler wasn’t online, so she started a solo game.
Entering the hero selection screen, Yu Ni had already pre-selected her support.
Just then, the fifth floor, who was playing with three junglers, suddenly ordered her: “Give Yao to the third floor, you fill in.”
Yu Ni was puzzled by his matter-of-fact tone.
The other party’s attitude became even more forceful: “Don’t you understand? My girlfriend wants to play Yao, you fill in.”
Yu Ni was rebellious and hated being told this way. When it came time to select a hero, she, on the first floor, immediately locked onto Yao.
The microphone icon on the fifth floor’s avatar flickered, and then a gruff male voice came from the receiver: “Don’t you understand what I’m saying? I asked you to fill in, but you can’t hear me?”
Yu Ni turned off the receiver.
[Daidai Yumi]: You idiot, stop talking!
Both sides quickly finished selecting their heroes. The third floor picked a mage and, when it came time to adjust their positions, wanted to trade with her. Yu Ni declined.
After entering the game, the mage stood at the fountain and complained.
[Dangwu]: She won’t trade with me.
The jungler, Liu Bei, was her boyfriend. Seeing Yu Ni turn off the receiver, he typed: “Can’t a jerk like you stop playing games?”
[Daidai Yumi]: How can a jerk like you play games?”
Seeing Yu Ni scolding her boyfriend, the mage immediately joined in.
[Dangwu]: Green tea girl
[Daidai Yuni]: If you want to be scolded, go line up. After I scold you, it’ll be your turn to be with someone.
[Chuhe]: Damn low score.
[Daidai Yuni]: How can you be matched with me with your high score?
Yu Ni wasn’t one to suffer injustice. She fought the two of them with equal strength. Just then, a red dot suddenly popped up in the message list.
[Juejing Fangke Pojun sent a reservation invitation: “Want to play together after this game?”
Yu Ni agreed, and the system quickly notified the other party that they had entered the group room. She turned on the group mic, intending to ask the jungler to wait, but the jungler suddenly ran over to her and taunted her with a sudden recall.
[Chuhe]: This is a smurf. If you dare, go out and challenge me. I’ll beat you to your knees and call you daddy.
Yu Ni didn’t fall for his trick and replied via voice-to-text: “Are you so awesome? Why should I challenge you to a one-on-one?”
[Juejing Fangke Pojun]: What one-on-one?
Her words could be heard in the team room. Yu Ni saw the text message in her appointment list and immediately explained the situation to him in a concise manner.
She finally complained, “He also said he’d beat me until I knelt down and called him ‘Daddy.'”
Yu Ni’s voice was a little irritated. Although she had cursed back, some of his words were so harsh that they had completely ruined her good mood.
The jungler, seeing that she refused to comply, became even more arrogant.
Yu Ni’s face darkened. Just as she was about to retaliate, another message popped up in the appointment list.
[Breaking Out of Despair]: Ask Him to Come Out and Challenge Me One-on-One
