Jiang Yuning was even more confused, but after hesitating for two seconds, she obediently walked out.

With a “click”, the door closed. Xiao Liye leaned back in his chair, his legs casually crossed, a cigarette dangling from the corner of his lips as he spoke:

“Aren’t you a little too fast?”

Su Ni smiled gently and said:

“I’m not an eighteen or nineteen-year-old boy, and I don’t have the energy or mind to pursue all kinds of things. It’s better to establish a relationship first and spend time together. Isn’t life about taking it slow and steady?”

Xiao Liye’s eyes flickered slightly. It seemed that she had really done it. He touched the hair on the back of his head and said after a few seconds of silence:

“Do you know her?”

Su Ni said: “Your cousin, the one you personally introduced must be reliable. If you can’t trust her, you will definitely be trusted.”

Jiang Yuning said in a kind and negotiating manner:

“Isn’t this place close to your factory? Otherwise… go back and get two small basins. Take half back to my house and half back to yours.”

Xiao Liye was speechless. He really had never done this before. In the past, when he was soliciting business and talking to clients, he often left the table without taking a few bites of the food.

Xiao Liye returned to the factory. The cafeteria was a long room with no one else in it except Xiao Dahai. He went straight into the kitchen.

Xiao Liye said:

“No, bring me two small iron basins with lids. I need to put things in them.”

Xiao Dahai went over to look for it, and Wang Xiangmei came in and said:

“Li Ye, what are you going to do with this?”

Xiao Liye glanced at her and seemed to think of something.

“Oh, sister-in-law, you’re just in time. Jiang Yuning and I had dinner at a restaurant. She left the dishes untouched and wanted to pack some of them home and take some back to her parents’ home.

You go take the portion home, and I’ll go buy some more food to accompany her back home. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be nice to have her take only leftovers back to her house.”

Xiao Dahai was very fat, and he smiled like Maitreya Buddha, and jokingly said:

“We can still live together after getting married.”

Xiao Liye felt a little embarrassed and didn’t say anything.

Wang Chunyan was naturally happy when she thought that she could have a good meal tonight. She took the iron basin from Xiao Dahai’s hand and walked out to the private room.

Looking at the food divided into two sides, Jiang Yuning’s side had untouched roast chicken and braised fish.

She poured the two dishes directly into the basin and said, “My third son likes this. I’ll take it back.”

Jiang Yuning paused, and just as she was about to pour in the other meat dishes, she reached out and grabbed it and said:

“I’m going to take this back to my mother’s house. I’ve already told Xiao Liye about it.”

Wang Chunyan said unhappily:

“You’re married now, so why do you want to bring everything back to your parents’ home? What’s going on? Li Ye has to support everyone in your family after marrying you, right?”
