“Xie Bingyan, what do I owe you?” Xu Mo’s face was grim.
Xie Bingyan angrily retorted, “Don’t think you can get away! Let me tell you, Xu Mo, even if others agree, I won’t!”
Xu Mo was instantly infuriated, standing up and shouting, “Xie Bingyan, you’ve been messing with me since I came to the Xu family! I tolerated you before, but I won’t anymore. I’m telling you, whether you agree or not, you will!”
Xie Bingyan seemed even more enraged at this, “It’s impossible! Forget about it! Even if everyone else agrees, I won’t!”
At this, Xu Mo laughed bitterly, pointing at her with trembling fingers, “I’ve never seen anyone like you! Xie Bingyan, why are you targeting me like this? Have I wronged you?”
Xie Bingyan’s face turned livid, but she remained silent.
“Since I was a child…” Xu Mo stared coldly at her. “Don’t think I don’t know, Xie Bingyan! I know everything about you, and I know all your dirty thoughts! I once called you ‘mom’ out of respect and didn’t want to expose you, but don’t think I’m ignorant!”
“Xu Mo, just listen to Mom! Don’t move out!” Xu Wanting cried out desperately, tears streaming down her face.
Xu Mo immediately fixed his cold gaze on her. “Xu Wanting, since the day you drove me out of Deverna Building, I knew exactly what you were thinking! Filthy, dirty, despicable, shameless! I didn’t want to expose you, but don’t think I don’t know!”
Xu Wanting froze, tears still flowing.
“And you, Xu Xuehui,” Xu Mo continued, “you seem so heartbroken crying, but do you think I don’t know what you’re crying about? Each one of you is despicable and shameless. I’m embarrassed for you all! You call yourselves my sisters? Hah! You’re not even worthy!”
Xu Mo vented his anger, then turned to glare at Xie Bingyan and Xu Deming.
“Today, I’m here to inform you that I’m moving my household registration. I’m not seeking your approval! I’m telling you, I must move out!”
Xu Deming, now also angered, retorted, “Where do you think you can move to? Xu Mo, you’ve gone too far today! Did every single one of them offend you?”
“They really did offend me!” Xu Mo said coldly. “If you agree to my move, I can still talk to you politely, but even a mud statue has its limits. Don’t regret it later!”
“What regrets do I have? What is there for me to regret? Xu Mo, you unfilial child, you wait until I’m dead!” Xie Bingyan glared at him angrily.
Xu Mo stared at her intensely, “Xie Bingyan, to what extent do you still want to take this? How far are you willing to push things? Isn’t it enough already? It’s been eighteen years, isn’t that sufficient? What more do you want?”
Xie Bingyan remained silent, trembling visibly, her face turning pale with anger.
“Fine! Then let me state a fact! Eighteen years ago, it was you, Xie Bingyan, who personally abandoned me, right?” Xu Mo took a deep breath, his eyes growing colder by the moment.
“What?”
As these words were spoken, everyone’s expressions changed dramatically.
Xie Bingyan was stunned, her face visibly frozen for a moment.
“I know why you abandoned me, Xie Bingyan! But I don’t want to get involved in the messy affairs of your Xu family, or in the filth and dirt between you and your husband! However, blood is thicker than water, Xie Bingyan, blood is thicker than water!” Xu Mo stared at her intensely, each word deliberate.
“Do you think you can deceive everyone? Do you think no one knows? No! At least I know!”
Others were shocked to hear this, and all eyes turned to Xie Bingyan, incredulous.
Regarding the sudden disappearance of Xu Mo eighteen years ago, many had asked questions, the police had investigated, but there were no results, suspecting it was a case of abduction.
Was there more to this than meets the eye?
“I’m telling you, Xie Bingyan, if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have spent the first fourteen years of my life in an orphanage! If it weren’t for you, my achievements would have been tens or hundreds of times greater than they are now! What right do you have to say I lack upbringing and have bad habits that can’t be changed? What right do you have to say I don’t understand manners and just nod along? It’s all because of you! You are the root cause of all this!”
“Wu——” Xu Wanting burst into tears.
“And you, Xu Wanting!” Xu Mo abruptly turned to her. “I never knew your heart was so dark and filthy. I even suspect your brain is damaged! You’ve always been aware of the situation in the Xu family. Deverna belongs to the Xu family. Four years ago, when I was brought back, you were worried Deverna would be divided up! You’ve always been calculating about Deverna!”
Xu Wanting froze, speechless.
“The first time I went to Deverna, I was so happy, everything was so exciting! But in your eyes, what was it? Someone coming to divide Deverna!” Xu Mo stared at her intensely. “I didn’t want to expose your true face, but don’t think I don’t know! Xu Wanting, you are the most disgusting!”
Upon hearing this, Xu Wanting covered her mouth, tears streaming down her face. “Xu Mo, it’s not like that, it’s not like that…”
“Not like that?” Xu Mo sneered at her mockingly. “Do you think I don’t know? I see right through you. I know exactly what you’re thinking! You think you can disgust me? You’re not even worthy!”
“It’s not like that!” Xu Wanting cried out in tears.
After finishing his tirade against her, Xu Mo felt somewhat relieved. He then turned his gaze back to the livid-faced Xie Bingyan.
“You better agree to let me change my household registration. Otherwise, you will not have an easy time! I have no relation to you anymore!”
Xie Bingyan’s face remained grim, her body trembling.
Xu Deming breathed heavily, also turning to look at Xie Bingyan, suppressing his anger. “Xie Bingyan, is what Xu Mo said true? Did you abandon him eighteen years ago?”
“I didn’t abandon him!” Xie Bingyan retorted angrily.
“Oh? So you merely left me at the doorstep of the orphanage, not somewhere else!” Xu Mo sarcastically chuckled. “Just at the doorstep of the orphanage!”
Xie Bingyan was taken aback, staring at Xu Mo in astonishment, a hint of panic flickering in her eyes.
She seemed puzzled about how Xu Mo knew so much.
But soon, something seemed to dawn on her, and the panic vanished from her eyes, replaced only by coldness and numbness.
“At the doorstep of the orphanage? Is leaving someone at the doorstep of an orphanage not considered abandonment, Xie Bingyan?” Xu Deming was furious, staring at Xie Bingyan in disbelief.
Xie Bingyan turned to look at him, her eyes filled with deep disgust and revulsion, but she remained silent.
“You must be curious why she did this?” Xu Mo laughed. “Logically speaking, even a vicious tiger doesn’t eat its cubs. After having six daughters, finally having a son should be cherished, right? But this situation defies logic!”
Xu Deming was stunned, immediately focusing on Xie Bingyan. “Xie Bingyan, tell me why. Why did you do this eighteen years ago?”
Xie Bingyan said nothing, sinking into the sofa and slowly sipping tea from her cup. However, her arm was trembling uncontrollably.
Xu Mo, watching her closely, decided not to say more. He pointed to the documents. “You can sign now! Let’s not make this uglier than it already is.”
Xie Bingyan glared at him sharply. “You knew all of this? When did you find out?”
“A long, long, long time ago,” Xu Mo replied.
“So, when you just…” Xie Bingyan started to ask but stopped short.
“When I first came to the Xu family, right? Four years ago?” Xu Mo suddenly laughed, a bit sarcastically. “Doesn’t it seem ridiculous? You’ve seen everything, haven’t you? I looked like a pathetic clown, trying to gain something that wasn’t mine. I desperately tried to strive for it, yearning to have it all!”
“Ah, motherly love, the greatest love! The most precious and magnificent emotion in the world!
“I used to dream countless times about having that,” Xu Mo said, laughing as he spoke, filled with sarcasm. “But it’s gone! Xie Bingyan, there’s nothing left! Everything is desolate! Even though I know the truth, I tried to hold onto even the slightest bit, but it was never there!”
“Now, I just hope you die soon!”
