The moonlight was like water, and deep in the mountains of Long Kingdom…
The sound of gunshots shattered the tranquility of the night. Zhuang Jin stumbled and ran to the suspension bridge at the cliff’s edge.
Before she could steady herself, she heard someone shout from behind: “She’s there!!!”
That voice… inexplicably familiar!!!
Zhuang Jin’s breath caught! She instinctively turned around.
Immediately, countless bullets shot towards her!
Zhuang Jin’s eyes widened in shock, her gaze fixed on a certain spot…
At the same time, a bullet pierced her chest, and blood gushed out!
The wind at the cliff was biting, causing the chains of the suspension bridge to clatter. Zhuang Jin’s face turned pale, her body swaying dangerously, but in her eyes, an unyielding flame burned.
Just then, out of nowhere, a large, blood-red tongue-wagging wolfdog jumped out, pouncing towards her…
Its sharp claws dug into her shoulder, and its white fangs clamped down on her delicate neck!
Zhuang Jin screamed in pain, her body teetering, and she and the wolfdog both plummeted off the suspension bridge.
“Such a high cliff, there’s no way she’ll survive the fall!” The pursuers behind her stopped at the bridge, coldly glancing at the bottom of the cliff before turning and leaving.
No one noticed that the full moon in the sky changed, turning blood-red!
At the bottom of the cliff, a blood jade glinted with a faint red light, resonating with the distant sky…
No one knew how much time passed, but when Zhuang Jin opened her eyes again, the surroundings were unfamiliar and dilapidated.
The room was dimly lit, with only a few rays of sunlight filtering through the broken window, dust everywhere, and dry twigs and chopped wood piled in the corners. The floor was uneven wooden planks, and the bedding was tattered, with cotton stuffing exposed…
Where was this?
Zhuang Jin furrowed her brow tightly. She jumped out of bed, her training as a special agent making her habitually alert at all times.
However, as she moved, she realized her body was weak, like a lamb ready for slaughter. Her stomach growled loudly, as though a beast was gnawing at her insides…
So hungry!!!
At that moment, loud footsteps echoed from outside, followed by a woman’s loud voice.
“Hey, Zhang Shanni, I say, our big girl is still a virgin, and those ten pounds of rough rice you gave us are a bit too little. Why not give us a bit more? How about twelve pounds?”
“Bah, Old Zhuang’s family, you’re being unreasonable. Ten pounds of rice for your daughter was the deal we agreed on before. How can you increase the price now?”
Zhuang Jin’s heart stirred. Had she encountered human traffickers???
There was no time to think further, and with a sharp sound, the door lock was forced open from the outside.
The door creaked open, and two women walked in. One was in her thirties, wearing a gray coarse cloth gown, with slanted triangular eyes and thin lips, looking quite harsh. The other was in her fifties, dressed somewhat better, with a face full of wrinkles and a body as round as a pig, but with a sharp and cunning demeanor.
Zhuang Jin didn’t hide, instead standing tall and directly staring at the newcomers.
She coldly scanned them, and an expression of displeasure appeared on her face, especially at the way the older woman looked at her.
That gaze was like one evaluating goods at a market, as if she were assessing a commodity, her lips clicking. “This girl’s so thin and bony, with this frame, she’ll probably be useless as a woman!”
Hearing this, the older woman’s eyes shifted, and with a hint of flattery, she said, “Hey, in this day and age, as long as she doesn’t starve to death, it’s good enough. Who still has the luxury of raising a plump girl? Take her back, feed her up, and next year, she’ll be able to give you a fat grandson no problem. Don’t look at how thin she is, her looks are exceptional. If it weren’t for us not having enough to eat, my husband wouldn’t be willing to sell her.”
After listening to their conversation, Zhuang Jin’s frown deepened.
She, the number one special agent in Long Kingdom, had been sold???
And the key point was… she was only worth a few dozen pounds of rough rice???
She remembered her bounty in the industry was supposed to be worth billions!
“Mother, move aside, I can’t see the new wife.”
Just then, a person emerged from under the woman’s arm. About a meter tall, judging by his language and posture, it was clear he was a dwarf.
He looked around thirty or forty years old, short, yet round like an inflated balloon, the same size all around.
Zhuang Jin couldn’t help but think to herself, this mother and son really do look alike!
The dwarf man had a large black mole on his right cheek, covered in fuzz, which occupied almost half of his face. He was currently staring at Zhuang Jin, drooling with lust.
Zhuang Jin only glanced at him before quickly looking away. This man… was truly hideous!
Not just ugly, but he also exuded a strange, unpleasant odor!
Zhuang Jin wasn’t a person who cared about appearances, but she couldn’t avoid feeling disgusted by this man’s looks.
Suddenly, Zhuang Jin felt like her hunger had lessened.
Hmm, this man’s appearance made her lose her appetite entirely.
The dwarf man seemed oblivious to the disdain in Zhuang Jin’s eyes, or perhaps he simply didn’t care.
He kept rubbing his hands and leered at Zhuang Jin as he circled around her. “Mother, this wife, I like her. Let’s bring her back tonight for the wedding.”
“Heh heh… Son can’t wait!”
The old woman saw her son was pleased, and her face showed a smile. But when that smile turned toward Zhuang Jin, it became a scrutinizing sneer.
“Old Zhuang family, your daughter has such a stubborn face, looks like she won’t obey! You mentioned ten pounds of rough rice, but I can’t give you that. But since my son likes her, I’ll give you seven pounds, and I’ll take her with me.”
“Hey! She’ll behave after a few beatings, what’s the big deal!” The woman shot a glare at Zhuang Jin and smiled at the old woman again. “Zhang Aunt, seven pounds really is a bit low, how about eigh? That number’s lucky, don’t you think?”
Zhuang Jin’s gaze grew darker, her cold eyes sweeping over the people present.
The dwarf man’s lecherous gaze lingered on her, while the woman, who was called Zhang Aunt, continued to haggle. A tall middle-aged man standing behind the woman had been silent the whole time, but when Zhuang Jin’s gaze passed over him, he awkwardly looked away.
The woman was clearly trying to get as much as she could, while the old woman stubbornly stuck to seven pounds, unwilling to budge.
Zhuang Jin’s expression grew colder. Although she hadn’t fully understood the situation yet, she knew that anyone daring to take advantage of her would have to be ready for the consequences.
Just as Zhuang Jin was about to take action, a wave of dizziness struck her, and a stream of foreign memories rushed into her mind.
After a few breaths, Zhuang Jin quickly sorted through the memories, and her eyes gradually cleared.
She had soul-transferred!!!
The memories belonged to the eldest daughter of the Zhuang family, Zhuang Jin, who was eighteen years old and lived in a small village in the Chenjia Town of Mo Bei Kingdom.
The woman before her was the stepmother of this body, Liu Cuihua, and the man who was avoiding her gaze in the corner was Zhuang Jin’s biological father, Zhuang Dazhu.
Zhuang Jin also had a grandmother, a younger sister, and a younger brother from her stepmother, but they weren’t here at the moment.
The memories flooding her mind left Zhuang Jin no time to process everything in detail, especially as she felt a pair of greasy hands reaching toward her chest…
“Heh heh… little beauty…”
A flash of killing intent appeared in Zhuang Jin’s eyes, and she instinctively moved.
“Ah! It hurts! It hurts! Let go!” A scream suddenly shattered the tension.
The old woman and Liu Cuihua were so shocked that they stopped their haggling immediately. The old woman, seeing her son being bullied by Zhuang Jin, widened her eyes and rolled up her sleeves, preparing to hit Zhuang Jin.
Zhuang Jin’s small hand twisted the dwarf man’s arm, and with a gentle but firm motion, there was a sharp crack—the sound of bone displacement echoed from the dwarf man’s body.
“You little slut, how dare you hit my son! Watch me teach you a lesson!” Zhang Aunt yelled as she lunged at Zhuang Jin, reaching for her face.
The dwarf man howled in pain, but his mind still lingered on his disgusting desires. “Mother, don’t ruin my face! Tie her up, take her to my bed, I’ll deal with this slut myself!”
“Ajin, stop making a scene!”
At that moment, a middle-aged man rushed in. With a receding hairline, thick brows, narrow eyes, and a downward-curved mouth, it was Zhuang Jin’s biological father, Zhuang Dazhu.
Zhuang Dazhu immediately glared at Zhuang Jin and shouted angrily.
Zhuang Jin gave him a cold glance, her killing intent clear!
Such a harsh glare made Zhuang Dazhu’s heart constrict. He immediately hunched his shoulders and didn’t dare to speak another word.
