Chapter 10: Sister-in-Law
Back in the dorm, Yin Siyu opened the game and checked her friend list—what she saw left her stunned.
Feng Yu: Online for eight hours.
Yu Liang: [You’ve been playing all afternoon?]
Feng Yu: [Just practicing. Didn’t want to be rusty.]
This time, Yin Siyu wasn’t streaming, so she spoke more freely.
Yu Liang: [Taking it that seriously? Is it really that important?]
Feng Yu: [Yeah, because someone matters to me.]
Yu Liang: [Are you my fan? Judging by this, you’re still a kid, right? Obsessed with celebrities much? Though I do love your username.]
Feng Yu: […] How to explain… Well, might as well let her misunderstand.
During the game, Yin Siyu and “Feng Yu” ended up on the same team.
Her skills were, to put it mildly, terrible. Despite streaming for so long, her rank was still Bronze.
The entire match, Yin Siyu either hid, ran away, or got Multi-killed, forced to recall and heal.
Feng Yu: [@Yu Liang, I seriously suspect your fans must’ve been fed your Bewitching soup.]
Yu Liang: […You wouldn’t understand my charm. Hiding is a skill too.]
Getting slaughtered repeatedly, Yu Liang was at her wit’s end and typed in French at her opponents:
*[Fous le champ ! Je le supporte plus ! Je vais exploser de colère ! Ne m’exiges pas !]*
(Translation: “Get lost! I can’t take it anymore! I’m about to explode with rage! Don’t push me!”)
The enemy team was baffled—what the hell kind of alien language was this? Was their opponent a foreigner?
Wo diao zha tian: [@Yu Liang, foreigner?]
Yu Liang: *[T’es idiot / imbécile !]*
(Translation: “You’re an idiot!”)
Wo diao zha tian: [Oh, are you greeting me? Well, hello hello! Nice to meet you.]
Yu Liang: *[Me vantes pas, ferme ta boîte.]*
(Translation: “Stop talking nonsense, shut up.”)
Wo diao zha tian: [Wow, so passionate! Still don’t get it, though. Let’s just keep playing. Out of respect, I’ll go easy on you.]
Fuming, Yin Siyu privately messaged Feng Yu:
*[This next match, help me crush “Wo diao zha tian.”]*
Nan Feng couldn’t help but laugh at Yin Siyu’s message. First, she cursed at the guy in French, and now she wanted to humiliate him next round. Reading her words, he could practically picture the girl pouting in frustration.
Sure enough, the next match saw “Wo diao zha tian” getting relentlessly hunted down by “Feng Yu,” left speechless and miserable. What had he even done to deserve this?
Before leaving the team, Yin Siyu sent one last message to “Wo diao zha tian.”
Yu Liang: [First, I’m not a foreigner. Second, maybe look up what I actually said online~ Bye. Oh wait—never see you again.]
Wo diao zha tian: […You speak Chinese?! …]
……………
Yu Liang: [You seem quite skilled at this game, so I believe you. But as for teaching me… let’s just forget it. I feel like I’m completely hopeless with games, and I can’t be bothered to learn. Don’t push me either—I won’t listen to advice. Just help me play occasionally like this, and that’ll be enough.]
Feng Yu: [Okay.]
Yu Liang: [You’re so agreeable… You’re not a kid, are you? Who exactly are you?]
Feng Yu: [Does it matter who I am?]
Yu Liang: [Then why didn’t you deny it earlier?]
Feng Yu: [I never admitted to being a kid either!]
Yu Liang: [Since you won’t say, I won’t ask. I’ll find you to play again next time I’m free. Gotta log off now—beautiful me is signing out!!! Bonsoir! (Goodnight!)]
Feng Yu: [Mhm.]

Peng Wenyu nudged Jiang Zhen and Ding Sheng with his foot. “Our Nan Feng has been sitting here gaming all afternoon. We even had to bring him lunch and dinner. Don’t you think he’s gone off the deep end?”
“Then what about today when Feng Ge was chatting with a girl? Why didn’t you mention that?” Ding Sheng added, still flipping through his book.
“And what about the rumors about Feng Ge a few days ago? Why didn’t you bring that up either?” Jiang Zhen chimed in, joining the fun.
Finally, the three of them glanced at the man sitting at the computer desk and said in unison, “Feng Ge’s been acting strange lately!”
After Yin Siyu logged off, Nan Feng collected the experience points and stopped playing. His eyes and neck were sore after gaming all afternoon.
“Feng Ge, you’ve been hiding something from us lately, haven’t you?” Peng Wenyu couldn’t hold back anymore and bravely spoke up.
Nan Feng cast a sidelong glance at the three brothers sitting together. “What am I hiding?”
“Feng Ge, don’t you think the things you’ve been doing recently are… unusual?” Ding Sheng replied cautiously, carefully choosing his words.
Nan Feng let out a low chuckle. “Looking for your future sister-in-law.”
“F-future sister-in-law?” Peng Wenyu stammered, too excited to speak properly.
“Who is she?” Jiang Zhen asked curiously. Ding Sheng also blinked, his face full of anticipation.
Nan Feng ignored their excitement. He was the one looking for a wife, not them—why were they so worked up? “Shut up. I need to rest.”
“Sister-in-law… sister-in-law… Feng Ge is actually looking for a wife…” Peng Wenyu couldn’t control himself. “Oh my god, this is unbelievable! Our Feng Ge has fallen from his pedestal. So that forum post was true—no wonder you wouldn’t let me delete it…”
*Thud!* Something flew past Peng Wenyu’s face and hit the floor. He wasn’t startled, but Ding Sheng and Jiang Zhen jumped in fright.
Nan Feng was genuinely angry now, his tone sharpening. “Say one more word. I dare you.”
“Feng Ge, Feng—mmph—” Peng Wenyu was still lost in the shock of the news and tried to speak, but Ding Sheng and Jiang Zhen immediately rushed to cover his mouth.
Peng Wenyu finally noticed Nan Feng’s expression and sensed the heavy atmosphere, quickly sealing his lips shut.
But he really, really wanted to know—what was going on with Nan Feng? And who was this sister-in-law? How could she be so capable? The curiosity was killing him!
Peng Wenyu didn’t dare to speak anymore and just urged Ding Sheng and Jiang Zhen to scrutinize the blurry figure in the forum post. Halfway through, the two couldn’t resist their drowsiness and went to sleep. Peng Wenyu, however, spent the entire night at it, nearly straining his eyes blind without figuring anything out.
By the next day, he was dragging himself to class with dark circles under his eyes, completely exhausted. Ding Sheng and Jiang Zhen teased him, laughing, “He’s obsessed with his crush.”
Peng Wenyu never imagined he had already run into her in the cafeteria that day—yet he stubbornly clung to that blurry photo from the forum.

“Guan Shuang, Jay Chou’s concert is this weekend. Wanna go?” Yin Siyu waved her phone with a grin.
“Ah, Jay Chou? Of course I want to go! But isn’t it too late to buy tickets now?” Guan Shuang pouted slightly.
Yin Siyu pulled out four tickets from behind her back. “Knew you’d want to go—bought them ages ago.”
Seeing the number of tickets, Guan Shuang couldn’t help but ask, “Why four?”
“Isn’t your boyfriend coming? And I grabbed one for Su Shaonian too—perfect for four.”
Yin Siyu’s French was a little too flirty today~
