Chapter 14: Our Wuli Group Chat
The sunlight was just right as Yin Siyu sat on her bed typing on her phone. A pair of small dimples appeared evenly on both sides of her cheeks, faintly visible when she smiled, making her look as adorable as a fairy.
Wuli Sis: [@Wuli Bro @Wuli Dad @Wuli Mom, I’m going to the concert. Don’t you have anything to say?]
Wuli Mom: [Sweetie! Take lots of photos. If not, let’s video call so I can watch Jay Chou for a bit.]
Wuli Sis: [No way! If you want to watch, why don’t you go yourself? I want to enjoy it alone.]
Wuli Dad: [Siyu, your mom and I are traveling. No time…]
Wuli Bro: [So? You two go off to have fun and leave me to clean up your mess???]
Wuli Dad: [Son, this is a great opportunity to train you. Enjoy it.]
Wuli Bro: [Hah, I’d rather not.]
Wuli Mom: [Son, work hard. Try to make your dad retire early.]
Wuli Sis: [Attention, all three of you! What was my original question? Where’s your gesture? Where’s your sincerity? Crying (;︵;`) Please don’t change the subject.]
Wuli Mom: [Red packet]
Wuli Dad: [Red packet]
Wuli Bro: [Red packet]
Wuli Sis: [Hehe, that’s more like it! Ah, our group name is so cute—”Our Wuli Loving Family”—way better than my WeChat name.]
Wuli Mom: [Sweetie, happy now? Since you’re happy, take more photos to make your mom happy too.]
Wuli Dad: [Siyu, be careful. If anything happens, ask your brother to drive you.]
Wuli Sis: [No, forget it. My brother’s been so busy lately he hasn’t even had time to call me. No way he’ll drive me.]
Wuli Bro: [How about I lend you my driver? I’m not using him right now anyway.]
Wuli Sis: [No need. My friends already booked a car. If I really need it, I’ll call you.]
Wuli Bro: [Alright then. Be careful! Don’t get so caught up in fangirling that you forget about your own safety.]
Wuli Sis: [Got it, got it. So naggy, worse than Mom…]
Wuli Bro: [Hey, you little brat, getting bold—]
Wuli Sis: [Say no more, I’m out~~~]
Wuli Bro: […………]

The concert venue was at the center of the stadium. Standing at the ticket entrance, there were countless cheering sticks, celebrity merchandise, and cheering banners of all kinds.
Fans who hadn’t entered yet were getting excited, constantly asking how much longer until entry. Some had gathered in groups to gossip about the stars, creating a chaotic scene.
Yin Siyu glanced at the overly enthusiastic fans, then at her group of four. Thankfully, they weren’t that crazy—just each holding a cheering stick.
“Wow, who’s that guy? So handsome!”
“Is he a celebrity?”
“He must be at least 187 cm tall. His legs are so long!”
“What’s he looking at? Is he searching for someone?”
“Not a celebrity—he’s holding a ticket.”
Guan Shuang was the first to recognize who the crowd was talking about. She nudged Yin Siyu. “It’s Nan Feng. Nan Feng came to the concert too.”
At these words, Yin Siyu also recognized the figure in the distance. She saw Nan Feng narrow his eyes slightly before striding purposefully toward where the four of them stood.
Dressed in casual attire, he carried an air of lazy nonchalance. His hair was long, jet-black, and glossy, while his spirited eyes seemed capable of piercing straight through a person’s soul.
“You’re here for the concert too?” Nan Feng asked in a deep voice.
Yin Siyu nodded in greeting but said nothing more. The others exchanged polite greetings as well.
Tao Qiye, however, looked at Nan Feng with surprise. “You know someone this important? Wow, Senior Nan Feng! This is incredible. Senior, I’m Guan Shuang’s boyfriend.”
“Hello,” came the simple, efficient reply without any unnecessary words.
The others waited quietly for the entrance to open while Tao Qiye kept trying to engage Nan Feng in conversation.
Nan Feng sensed that Tao Qiye wasn’t as mild-mannered as he appeared—there was definitely something hidden beneath the surface. Though he found Tao Qiye irritating, he had to maintain civility since Tao Qiye was Yin Siyu’s friend. That relationship couldn’t be ignored.
After half an hour, the ticket inspector opened the gates and announced through a megaphone: “Attention everyone! To maintain good order, please form an orderly queue. Secure your valuables and remain quiet after entering to create an optimal concert environment… Thank you for your cooperation, and we wish the concert great success!”
As soon as the announcement ended, a surge of fans pushed forward from behind. The five found themselves caught in the middle of the crowd, jostled from all sides.
One overburdened fan accidentally shoved Yin Siyu backward. Caught off guard, she stumbled, her mind going blank as she lost her balance.
Just as she was about to hit the ground, a strong, warm arm wrapped around her waist. With a gentle but firm tug, she was pulled upright against a broad, solid chest. Nan Feng’s palm cradled the back of her head protectively, his movements tender and careful.
On the other side, Su Shaonian had reacted a fraction too late—his outstretched arm now looked almost comical in its futility.
“Are you okay?”
“Siyu, are you alright?”
Su Shaonian and Nan Feng spoke simultaneously. Yin Siyu extricated herself from Nan Feng’s embrace, her face still flushed. “Thank you, Senior Nan. I’m fine, really—I didn’t even fall.”
“Be more careful next time,” Su Shaonian said, lightly tapping her nose. Yin Siyu nodded in response.
The scene stung Nan Feng like a thorn. He desperately wanted to do something, yet he could do nothing—a frustration that gnawed at him relentlessly.
Guan Shuang and Tao Qiye watched in stunned silence. Who knew Yin Siyu was so popular, with two handsome guys vying to protect her?
Feeling awkward, Yin Siyu quickly urged everyone to get in line, and no one mentioned the incident again.
The concert stage was spectacular. The four tickets Yin Siyu had purchased were for seats together, while Nan Feng’s was two rows behind—not too far away, really.
Yin Siyu and Guan Shuang sat together. Guan Shuang was completely hyped during the performance, pulling Yin Siyu into the excitement as well. Immersed in the music, Yin Siyu even snapped a few photos and videos to send to her mother, Madam Zhuang.
The entire venue was electric with fans cheering, screaming, and shouting. Nan Feng sat in his seat, deeply uncomfortable. Even with two earplugs in, the noise was overwhelming, and the poor air circulation made it worse. He felt coming today had been a complete mistake.
But the thought of Su Shaonian attending with Yin Siyu filled him with resentment. No matter what he did, it all felt wrong.
The moment he stepped out of the concert, Nan Feng took a deep breath. The outside air was undeniably better—every pore in his body seemed to sigh in relief.
Nan Feng: “I don’t want to join them. I only want to join you!”
