My husband lost his memory after three years of marriage.
My husband lost his memory after three years of marriage. Chapter 4

In the master bedroom.

After taking a shower, Gu Yu changed into a showy, all-black silk robe. He was currently leaning against the headboard, wearing gold-rimmed glasses, using a tablet to handle business matters.

Looking every bit the refined scoundrel.

A moment later, the electronic clock on the bedside table ticked softly, marking midnight.

Gu Yu put down the tablet, pinched the bridge of his nose, and got out of bed.

With a soft “click,” the door was pushed open.

Gu Mo, who hadn’t fallen asleep yet, opened his eyes warily. Gu Yu put a finger to his lips, signaling him not to make a sound.

Then, he tiptoed to the bedside.

Ji Linglu turned over in her sleep.

Gu Yu stood by the bed, looking down at her sleeping face for a long while, until she was sleeping soundly again. Then, he bent down to pick her up.

“Daddy, you’re here again,” Gu Mo pouted and whispered.

Gu Yu looked up at him, but Gu Mo was unmoved, looking very cool. Then, he lectured, “You got scolded by Mommy last time when she found out.”

Gu Yu paused. He found it strange. He clearly spent a lot of time with Gu Mo, and most of Gu Mo’s affairs were arranged by him. After all, Ji Linglu was confused even when taking care of herself, and sometimes he had to take care of her as well. How could he put in so much effort and not please either side?

Gu Yu almost laughed when he thought about this.

He looked down at the sleeping face of the person in his arms and curled his lips with a bit of helplessness and doting.

“This person seems to always be so likeable, and can easily gain everyone’s love without doing anything.”

His little princess. Gu Yu lowered his head and kissed Ji Linglu on the forehead.

“Mommy won’t be angry when she wakes up tomorrow. You sleep well.”

He knew his wife very well. Ji Linglu was carefree, and as long as it wasn’t too much of a problem, she would forget everything after a night’s sleep.

After speaking, he carried her back to the master bedroom.

The next morning, Ji Linglu woke up groggily just before Gu Yu left for work. She opened her eyes and saw Gu Yu standing at the foot of the bed, putting on his shirt.

Gu Yu had a great figure, with standard broad shoulders and narrow hips. He had a slim waist and long legs without looking thin. Regular exercise throughout the year made him the type who looked thin in clothes and muscular when undressed. His V-lines were smooth, and he had obvious abdominal muscles on his lower abdomen.

The scene of a handsome man changing clothes was really pleasing to the eye, causing her to forget all the anger she had last night.

This was too unfair.

When Gu Yu looked up and saw that she was awake, he walked to the bedside and touched her face. His slightly deep voice was particularly pleasant: “Did I wake you up?”

Ji Linglu shook her head subconsciously, and then realized something after shaking it twice.

She seemed to have slept in Gu Mo’s room last night?

She felt unforgivable for being so dizzy from the beauty of this scheming man.

Ji Linglu closed her eyes in annoyance and rubbed her head on the pillow to avoid Gu Yu’s hand: “Go away…”

Then, she opened her eyes and glared at him rather resentfully: “You’re just unreasonable.”

Gu Yu was very patient. He curled his lips after hearing her words, not minding. He lowered his head and kissed Ji Linglu on the corner of her eye, his gaze seeming to be glued to her face, and gently caressed the skin on the side of her ear with his fingertips.

Gu Yu rarely expressed such obvious tenderness so directly. His deep eyes were filled with almost overflowing gentle love. Even after so many years of marriage, Ji Linglu couldn’t resist such a gaze, and her ears started to turn red within two minutes.

Gu Yu only felt that his wife was too cute, and his smile deepened. He restrained himself a bit when she pulled his hand away, trying to hide under the covers.

He leaned on Ji Linglu’s pillow, lowered his head, and pressed his forehead against hers: “Still angry?”

Ji Linglu didn’t speak, but she didn’t avoid him either.

Gu Yu picked up a newly bought bracelet from the bedside table, grabbed Ji Linglu’s slender wrist, and put it on for her while looking down. After putting it on, he held it up to admire it, seeming very satisfied: “When I saw it at the auction, I thought it would definitely suit you. It’s so beautiful.”

The pure ruby bracelet complemented her jade-like wrist very well.

He kissed the back of Ji Linglu’s hand: “Do you like it?”

Ji Linglu had seen this bracelet in a magazine before and had been tempted, but after inquiring about it, she learned that it was a commemorative edition and had long been discontinued. She didn’t know how much money Gu Yu had spent to buy it.

Ji Linglu’s remaining anger disappeared completely. She nodded: “I like it.”

“Mm, you like it.” Gu Yu looked at her: “And then?”

Ji Linglu realized something, cupped his face, and kissed him sweetly on the chin: “Thank you, honey.”

Gu Yu curled his lips noncommittally, helped her cover herself with the quilt, and then lowered his head to kiss her on the forehead: “I’m going to work, remember to eat breakfast.”

He paused, then lowered his voice and said in Ji Linglu’s ear, “Don’t be angry, I love you.”

Half of Ji Linglu’s face, hidden in the quilt, instantly turned red.

Although this wasn’t the first time she had heard Gu Yu say “I love you,” it was so early in the morning! That voice! That face! Such a handsome man is your husband and he is looking at you so affectionately and telling you he loves you, how can you resist?!

Foul! This is a foul!

Ji Linglu roared in her heart. This dog of a man knew too well how to win her over.

After Gu Yu left, Ji Linglu crawled out of the quilt. The suspicious blush on her face hadn’t completely faded, and it was particularly obvious against the fair skin of her cheeks.

The perpetrator was gone, and this unvented shame and annoyance made her prepare to shift the fire.

She picked up her phone and opened the chat group in WeChat called [Alliance to Rescue Fallen Young Women].

There were three people in the group: Ji Linglu, Bian Yue, Jiang Yuan, and Jiang Mingfan. The four had known each other since they were little and basically grew up together.

The group name had been changed countless times over the years.
