“This is unbelievable.”

Ye Wenxin began to tell Jin Xiaoqin about her findings in Elder Wu’s bag of holding, handing over the list of victims to Jin Xiaoqin.

Although Jin Xiaoqin usually disliked trouble, her face darkened upon seeing Elder Wu’s long list of misdeeds. She examined the list carefully, growing angrier the more she read.

“Unacceptable. Disciple, follow me down there!”

Seeing this, Jin Xiaoqin picked up the feather duster again. Ye Wenxin was quite puzzled. “Master, are you going down there to clean?” She thought Jin Xiaoqin was so furious that she wanted to vent her anger by sweeping the floor.

Jin Xiaoqin, even more displeased, gave Ye Wenxin a smack on the butt and then spat out these words.

“We’re whipping the body1.”

Ye Wenxin was stunned for a moment, then immediately giggled, following Jin Xiaoqin down to the cellar. The other disciples were stupefied, as if they couldn’t comprehend the peculiar hobby of this master and disciple.

They were supposed to be handling Elder Wu’s burial, but now they were whipping the corpse.

However, Jin Xiaoqin was an elder, and considering what Elder Wu had done before, no one stood up for him. The other disciples looked at each other and followed closely behind. Already, they saw Jin Xiaoqin beginning to chop the corpse.

Ye Wenxin, standing at the side, laughed maniacally. The master-disciple duo was so insane and in sync. Liu Churan was also there, watching, and a smile curved her lips, remembering Demon Lord Gu Qingcheng’s teachings from years ago.

“Remember this, Ran’er, only the lowest-level villains resort to rape. In my homeland, going to prison for that is the most looked-down-upon thing, and you’d end up picking up the soap2.”

The young Liu Churan had been utterly confused by this, and even now, she didn’t fully understand the Demon Lord’s ideologies back then.

But now, she found herself missing that person more and more. Liu Churan’s gaze wandered, and as she looked at Ye Wenxin’s somewhat similar face, her eyes dimmed a little.

Sadly, no one saw Liu Churan’s heart-wrenching and pitiful expression. Everyone was focused on Jin Xiaoqin and Ye Wenxin, as they chopped Elder Wu into minced meat and fed his body to the pigs.

“I will report to the sect that Elder Wu had been turned into mince meat by the Demon Lord, with no remains left, and ultimately only a simple funeral was conducted. But to be honest, someone like Elder Wu doesn’t deserve a tombstone,” Jin Xiaoqin said coldly, waving the feather duster in her hand a few times for emphasis.

The other disciples didn’t know what to think of Jin Xiaoqin’s willfulness, but Ye Wenxin greatly admired her master.

Thinking back, she didn’t know how many masters she had knelt and bowed to, but it was the first time she had encountered someone as daring as Jin Xiaoqin. In Ye Wenxin’s mind, Jin Xiaoqin embodied the true spirit of a cultivator.

“Master, are you hungry?”

“I’ve reached the Nascent Soul stage, so I don’t get hungry, but since you’ve brought it, I’ll eat it,” Jin Xiaoqin replied.

Her appearance wasn’t striking, and her features could only be described as pleasant, she also didn’t care much for grooming or dressing up. Yet, she exuded a certain dignified air.

Ye Wenxin kept circling around Jin Xiaoqin. One reason being that it was relatively easy to be with her, the other being that Liu Churan, for some reason, hadn’t shown any intention of looking for the Demon Lord in recent days. Instead, she had been hanging around them.

Ye Wenxin, feeling guilty, worked hard to put on a convincing act. She felt like her brain cells were starving for oxygen every day. Yet, Liu Churan still wouldn’t relent, and liked to wake Ye Wenxin up in the middle of the night.

“Miss Liu, why are you here again?” Ye Wenxin felt completely unwell, as Liu Churan’s visits always made her uncomfortable.

“Oh, I just read a novel today and thought we could try something from it.” Perhaps because Liu Churan was too infatuated with Demon Lord Gu Qingcheng, she ended up treating Ye Wenxin as a stand-in.

Ye Wenxin had no choice but to pick up the book, and flip through it. The more she read the cheesy novel content, the more her scalp tingled. Although she had acted out a scene with Xiao Zhang before, Xiao Zhang would at least react with shyness.

Liu Churan would always just smile, looking at Ye Wenxin as if she were seeing the Demon Lord. Ye Wenxin’s mind was nearly crumbling, but she could only continue reading the book’s lines without emotion.

“Your emotion is off; do it again.”

“Your actions aren’t right.”

Liu Churan would give such pointers, but she always let Ye Wenxin take the lead, as if her dream was for Demon Lord Gu Qingcheng to do the same with her.

However, the Demon Lord, who had transformed into a minor character, swore in her heart that even in her next life, she would never do such an absurd thing.

“Ah, you are my star, my moon…”

“I love you…”

All these lines were read without any emotion.

“Woman, you’re playing with fire.” It was baffling, but even this world had an overbearing CEO trope, only here it had morphed into overbearing cultivators, and the routine was exactly the same.

Liu Churan’s eyes held a faint smile as she held a dagger against Ye Wenxin’s neck. This was why Ye Wenxin had been desperately acting out their physical interactions without fully committing to them.

“Miss Liu, is this enough?”

“Now you can try calling me Ran’er.”

Liu Churan continued speaking, bringing the dagger in her hand closer to Ye Wenxin’s neck. Ye Wenxin, helpless, continued acting with all her might.

“Ran… Ran’er…” She tried to say it in a different tone. Liu Churan’s expression subtly changed, and her hand holding the dagger trembled, almost hurting Ye Wenxin.

Luckily, Liu Churan had strong self-control. She casually tossed the dagger aside and continued, “Next, you can improvise.”

Hearing this, Ye Wenxin felt elated. She looked at the bed behind her and eagerly said, “Then can we move over there?”

Liu Churan was floored, probably never imagining that Ye Wenxin would be so presumptuous. But seeing as this person had played out so many scenes with her, she gave it a thought, and said, “Carry me over.”

Ye Wenxin found this a little too demanding, but she ultimately nodded, taking Liu Churan into her arms. She was very light, with nothing lacking where it should be, delicate to the touch, soft and sweet-smelling.

But Ye Wenxin realized that it had already been over a decade since she last hugged Liu Churan.

She was always busy with cultivation, and Liu Churan was always patiently waiting by her side. Ye Wenxin didn’t even know when Liu Churan’s feelings had turned. Perhaps, her ignorance of Liu Churan’s presence had led to this twisted affection?

Ye Wenxin held her cautiously and gently placed her on the bed. Liu Churan remained quiet, appearing as serene as a kitten.

However, her claws were exceptionally sharp, and Ye Wenxin, afraid of being scratched, refrained from making any unnecessary movements.
