For Su You, having Sun Liancheng as a helper really did save her a lot of trouble.
Next, it was time to take over the supermarket.
Through Manager Wang’s introduction, Su You smoothly met the owner of the supermarket.
“You’re the one who wants to buy the supermarket?”
The elderly gentleman wore glasses and leaned on a walnut-colored cane, looking a bit incredulous.
Su You had already reviewed the documents Manager Wang sent her earlier and found that aside from cash flow issues, the business itself was in good shape.
She had no intention of wasting time haggling. She simply said: “I’ve seen the asking price. The supermarket has some flaws, but overall there’s no major problem.”
“I can accept this price. We can do the transfer today. Do you have the contract ready? We can go straight to the Bureau of Industry and Commerce to change ownership, and I’ll wire the transfer amount to you today as well.”
Huh?
The elderly owner was stunned by how straightforward Su You was. He looked at Manager Wang in disbelief.
That was a full ten million in cash flow!
He hadn’t expected this young woman to be so decisive!
He quickly recovered, smiling: “Good! Miss Su is truly forthright!”
“If this were at a banquet, I’d have to toast you at least three times. Truly the younger generation surpasses the old, heroes keep emerging. It’s a pity—once I sell my other pharmacy, I’ll be going abroad to reunite with my family. But it’s rare to meet someone as genuine as you. We must keep in touch.”
Su You ignored most of his rambling, but her sharp ears caught one key word.
“You have another pharmacy?”
“That’s right. Could it be Miss Su is also interested in running a pharmacy? It’s not in a prime location, but business is decent and the cash flow is healthy. It’s just that I’m too old to manage it, so I’ve decided to grit my teeth and sell it.”
The old man’s tone sounded sincere, without any sign of deceit.
Su You glanced at Manager Wang, who gave her a subtle nod, so she tentatively believed him.
She smiled. “In that case, sir, what price are you asking for the pharmacy?”
The old man tapped his cane, chuckling. “This pharmacy is 100 square meters. The property is mine, so there’s no rent. I invested about 400,000 yuan originally—renovations, equipment, inventory, staff, permits, everything included.”
“If you’re genuinely interested, I’ll transfer it to you for 300,000. Rent is separate—or you can buy the property outright.”
300,000.
Su You was tempted.
She had researched beforehand: opening a pharmacy usually cost between 200,000–400,000.
This price was within her budget.
More importantly, the pharmacy had full licenses, established supply channels, and direct contacts with pharmaceutical reps. That would save her countless headaches.
For an ordinary buyer, there were strict purchase limits on drug types and quantities. Even if not, bulk buying medicine would definitely attract official attention.
Buying online was convenient with fewer restrictions, but too many large purchases would still raise red flags.
So, acquiring a ready-made pharmacy was the best option.
Still, Su You didn’t show her excitement. She politely said: “Thank you for your kind offer, sir. But I’d like to review the pharmacy’s financial records and do an on-site inspection before making a decision.”
The old man seemed to have expected that. Stroking his beard, he laughed: “Good, good. Let’s finalize the supermarket contract first—one thing at a time—then we’ll discuss the rest.”
Transferring the supermarket required a lot of paperwork. By the end, Su You was exhausted, while the old man, despite leaning on a cane, was still full of energy and insisted on taking her to see the pharmacy.
Naturally, Su You agreed.
On the way, the old man explained the pharmacy’s business scope: cold medicine, painkillers, antibiotics, prescription and over-the-counter drugs, medical devices like blood pressure monitors, thermometers, blood glucose meters, Chinese herbs like ginseng, astragalus, honeysuckle, and various supplements such as vitamins, protein powder, and dietary products.
Aside from the drugs displayed at the counter, the pharmacy had a second floor used as storage, with staff in charge of replenishment.
They chatted along the way, and soon arrived at the pharmacy.
Inside, the shop was bright and clean, with neatly arranged products. The first floor alone was quite spacious.
The store manager, already informed, greeted them warmly: “Hello, sir! Hello, Miss Su!”
Su You nodded with a smile.
With the old man accompanying her, she toured the shelves.
There were cold granules, compound paracetamol and amantadine tablets, ibuprofen, acetaminophen, Shuanghuanglian oral solution, oseltamivir phosphate, amoxicillin, cephalosporins, and many more—covering colds, fevers, infections, digestive issues, as well as medicines for children, women, and chronic conditions like hypertension.
The pharmacy was large, fully stocked, and diverse. Su You was very satisfied.
After the inspection, she finally felt reassured.
But since it was already late, the pharmacy transfer couldn’t be completed that day. She and the old man signed the contract, leaving the rest of the transfer procedures for later.
With the supermarket and pharmacy in hand, Su You had spent over ten million in total.
Instead of immediately bringing them into the base, she first used the spatial overlay function to connect both the supermarket and pharmacy directly with her base space.
She then announced that the supermarket and pharmacy would suspend operations for renovations and restocking, while retaining procurement and warehouse staff. With even larger funds than before, they began massive purchasing and stockpiling.
She even rented a massive warehouse with cold storage to hold the goods.
Though the procurement staff had doubts, they didn’t show it—if this was the new boss’s order, they’d follow it.
Truckloads of supplies poured into the warehouse—fresh leafy greens, packaged melons, beans, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, garlic, ginger—all stored in cold rooms.
Other goods like drinks, snacks, canned foods, and compressed biscuits were stacked by the crate on warehouse shelves.
For the next twenty-plus days, this became their daily routine.
Manager Wang, formerly deputy manager of marketing, was now appointed deputy general manager of the supermarket. He was responsible for overseeing renovations and stockpiling, ensuring product quality, and preparing for a grand reopening and promotions.
Meanwhile, Su You completed the storage of 100 tons of coal. Thanks to the system rebate, her account gained 20 million.
Three days later, at dawn, Su You’s phone suddenly buzzed.
It was a message from Amber, with a link attached.
“Sis You, my task is done! Exactly as you asked—pretty awesome, right?”
“Can you imagine how explosive this kind of crossover is?!”
“Looking forward to your official livestream!”
