◎Lifting the Bathtub◎

Chi Lu raised her hand and poked Jing Shuxing’s face.

She replied in the same breathy voice, “No killing!”

She paused, then added, “The others are fine, but Lady Ning, she must not be killed.”

Then she held her breath and concentrated, continuing to make the hand gesture with all her focus.

Jing Shuxing used something to temporarily hide their figures. Chi Lu wasn’t sure what it was. She focused on making the hand gesture, hearing the faint breathing from behind her, she knew that Jing Shuxing was very close to her.

“Don’t waste your effort.” The cultivator said, “If you were the Young sect leader, I could spare your life for a deal, but unfortunately you’re not, so don’t blame me for being ruthless.”

“Whether I am the Young sect leader of Linghua Sect or not, what does it have to do with you?” Chi Lu planned to stall for time, following the cultivator’s words.

The cultivator didn’t answer her, but instead said to Jing Shuxing, “I didn’t expect you to be so lucky. Now you have the Young sect leader of Linghua Sect, and such a… beautiful girl who is willing to go through fire and water for you. If Lady Ning knew about this, I’m afraid she would be grinding her teeth in anger.”

He licked his back teeth and leisurely spat out a few words from his mouth.
