Chapter 33: Organizing Inventory
“Duoduo, bring Yang Ge over to my place. It’s time to organize the inventory.”
“On my way!”
Ever since discovering the accordion paper sofa last time, Su Ning had just thrown the cards into her sheepskin backpack without looking closely. Until today, after beating the ox and getting all the final strikes herself, she had no choice but to sort out her belongings.
“Let’s start with my private stash. These are from when I fought mice and spiders. If you see anything you want, let me know. Otherwise, I’ll just send most of it home.”
Su Ning dumped her backpack onto the floor. There were over 200 cards. She sorted the common healing items to send to her mom, splitting the blue-attribute green-quality food with her.
Daily necessities and other rarely-used items were divided, half for mailing.
“These are just basic supplies. We don’t need them or can’t finish them, so I’m giving them to my mom,” Su Ning explained with an embarrassed smile.
Since these were her personal belongings, the two naturally didn’t complain. But compared with the generous Su Ning that Qiao Duoduo was used to, Huoyang was genuinely shocked.
“Su Ge, all these came from mice and spiders? The ones we fought together?”
Huoyang couldn’t believe it. This was far more than his own collection. If Su Ge’s luck was always like this, no wonder his wife could rent a place—this lifestyle was extravagantly lavish!
“I keep them separate. The new cards from the ox are still in my backpack; haven’t sorted them yet.”
Su Ning looked up, slightly embarrassed. Qiao Duoduo quickly kicked Huoyang, and he realized he’d said the wrong thing and scrambled to explain.
“No, Su Ge, I didn’t mean that. I just… wow, this is way too much! How do you have so much money?!”
Huoyang was helpless. He didn’t think Su Ge had embezzled anything; he was just amazed at how many cards she had—over twice as many as his own. Perhaps this was the difference between a lucky person and a leader.
“I’m not buying medicine, just staying at inns, so I have extra supplies. But since I opened the shop, I have become a bit wealthier,” Su Ning said seriously, realizing she was indeed slightly better off than the average person.
“But…” she suddenly paused, then added, “forget it.”
She had wanted them to take the fabrics out, but then realized she had enough for now. If someone at home could sew, even if they couldn’t make equipment, it would at least be warm clothing. She decided to wait until she had a sewing machine and could reliably sell gear before buying more fabric.
Looking at the cards, there were still plenty left, including Su Ning’s favorite fabrics:
There were also some accordion paper furniture pieces in good condition:
While Qiao Duoduo and Huoyang liked them, they had no real use, so Su Ning kept them as a backup—they might be useful later.
No need to elaborate on the grains and soups.
She saw five mountain bike cards, mailed two home for now, and kept three for themselves—one each—convenient for monster hunting without too much trouble.
There were also two pieces of equipment:
Other items also amazed Su Ning:
“Su Ge, this is perfect for you,” Qiao Duoduo said, relieved for his safety.
“Su Ge, this one’s a six! Six!” Huoyang’s eyes nearly popped out.
“Su Ge, you can put the accordion paper furniture and bed in here—safety level doubled!” Qiao Duoduo was calm but clearly delighted.
“If we get a kitchen and bathroom later, I could wander anywhere and call the world my home,” Qiao Duoduo joked, watching Su Ning act theatrically serious.
“Alright, finish packing quickly.”
“Got it, got it!” Su Ning replied, tidying up the last few items.
“Oh my gosh!”
“Are these gems?” Qiao Duoduo had never seen gems before and was shocked.
“Seems like it!” Su Ning examined them, her joy overflowing.
“Rich, rich!”
Two blue-quality aquamarine stones, deep blue crystals, each granting +8 Intelligence. Su Ning was nearly moved to tears.
One green-quality geode, earth-toned, not very pretty, but grants +5 Strength.
Finally, one green-quality Fire Dance stone, crimson oval-shaped, quite beautiful, +5 Agility.
“Su Ge, the stones…” Qiao Duoduo’s small hand climbed up Su Ning’s arm.
“You two can each take one. I’ll keep the Intelligence one. Deal!”
Su Ning wasn’t being selfish—these long-time friends had risked their lives together. Their strength meant Su Ning’s safety too.
