Chapter 180
After finishing the interview and coming out, there were still many fans waiting outside the venue. Mo Yin and his teammates boarded the bus amidst excited cheers from the fans.
It was past eleven, and there were few cars on the roads near the suburban venue. Mo Yin held his bag, closing his eyes and listening to music.
The melody was still familiar.
In the previous world, although he had lost his memory module, the experiences were all real.
He truly liked those smooth and gentle melodies.
Most likely, photos and videos of their exit from the venue had already circulated online. If Ye Chi used his brain a bit, whether he saw the news online or as time passed, he would understand that Mo Yin had left and wouldn’t keep their appointment.
Mo Yin opened his eyes and looked at the curves jumping with the melody on his phone screen. He opened WeChat, finding his Moments as silent as usual, except for one person who had been “dead” for a week suddenly “resurrected.”
Ye Chi had posted a picture.
A pitch-black thicket, sporadic blooms.
Players would recognize it—it was the flowerbed near the venue.
The photo was posted at 11:15, five minutes after Mo Yin left the venue.
Mo Yin locked his screen.
The bus drove smoothly, players either playing on their phones or sleeping. The overhead lights in the bus were dim yellow, the air conditioning cool and comfortable. It was a quiet night, time for rest.
The north gate of the venue was where venue staff and food delivery often entered and exited, while teams usually used the south gate.
Two completely opposite directions—one bustling with fans gathered daily, the other a bit deserted.
Ye Chi sat at the edge of the flowerbed, holding his phone, occasionally looking back.
It was a suburban area where there was only activity during competitions and events. In the middle of the night, not even a stray cat was around, only the street lamps still lit.
Mo Yin had left.
While browsing Weibo, Ye Chi saw a video taken by DSG fans.
Fans cheered excitedly, shouting “MY looks so handsome,” “MY, keep it up,” “MY, take care of yourself,” overwhelming love and support. Mo Yin nodded as he passed by, his responses to fans seeming more significant than to Ye Chi.
If he were just an ordinary fan, perhaps he could get such a slight nod of acknowledgment.
But he couldn’t just stand in the position of a fan, looking up from afar.
He really wanted to get closer, almost madly.
From Mo Yin’s perspective, he did seem like a madman. Despite their shallow relationship, Ye Chi had plunged so fervently into it, repeatedly doing inappropriate things in front of him.
Ye Chi lowered his head. He opened his phone, the WeChat interface showing his conversation with Mo Yin still stuck on that night’s voice call.
He thought of Mo Yin’s breathing, then slowly expanded his thoughts to the warmth emanating from Mo Yin’s body, the scent of his skin… As he thought about it, it felt like Mo Yin was really close to him.
Ye Chi lowered his head even more deeply. He knew he was completely screwed.
Describing himself as a madman already embellished his behavior—a term like “pervert” might be more accurate.
“Are you planning to spend the night here?”
A flat voice dropped from above.
Ye Chi jerked his head up.
Someone stood in front of him, blocking the light from the nearby street lamp behind him. Mo Yin had his hands in his pockets, fully covered—cap, mask hiding even his eyes, faintly reflecting light.
Ye Chi looked up at him, seeming completely stunned for a long while without saying a word.
“Looks like I’m disturbing your rest,” Mo Yin said. “You can continue.” With that, he turned around. Before he could take a step, his wrist was grabbed.
Mo Yin turned back.
Ye Chi was still sitting on the flowerbed, gripping Mo Yin’s wrist with one hand, his gaze intense.
“I thought you had left,” he hoarsely said.
Mo Yin’s face slightly turned towards Ye Chi, his gaze falling lightly on Ye Chi’s face.
Ye Chi’s expression made him feel it was worth returning midway.
Those eyes lit up in the darkness, restrained emotions almost bursting.
Mo Yin didn’t directly answer. “Are you coming?”
Ye Chi stood up, reluctant to let go of Mo Yin’s wrist. “Where to?”
“A place where we can talk.”
In the early hours, the manager was dozing off with half-closed eyes. With a sudden startle, he was awakened by the sound of a WeChat notification. He groggily opened WeChat and instantly became alert. He hurriedly made his way to the back door. As he opened it, just like last time, he saw Ye Chi first.
Manager: “Coming over so late, is it another…”
He was about to say “Bringing a guy,” but then he noticed Mo Yin behind Ye Chi.
Manager: “…”
“Same private room as last time?” The manager asked as he opened the door.
Ye Chi: “A regular one is fine.”
On the second floor, the private room wasn’t large, with gaming chairs and computers taking up most of the space. There was a small sofa against the wall, and in front of it, a coffee table with drinks, snacks, and a menu for ordering via QR code.
This was a proper internet cafe private room.
Mo Yin leaned against the wall near the door, looking like he didn’t want to enter.
Ye Chi placed his shoulder bag on the coffee table and turned to look at Mo Yin.
It was half an hour’s drive from the venue.
On the way, they sat apart, sinking into a strangely silent atmosphere.
Calm yet tumultuous.
Ye Chi found it hard to determine whether he was calm or not at this moment. Mo Yin’s unexpected return was beyond his expectations. When he said “I’ll wait for you,” he actually had no confidence at all. Perhaps he just wanted Mo Yin to understand how much he anticipated him.
He didn’t expect Mo Yin to actually come back.
The silence persisted.
Ye Chi couldn’t figure out why Mo Yin had returned and what he wanted to say.
Rejection? Judgment? Warning?
Many possibilities floated through Ye Chi’s mind, but he felt indifferent to all of them.
Mo Yin crossed his arms, leaning against the wall, fully defensive with his mask and hat still on, even his eyes hidden in the shadows.
“People sometimes lose their minds, become irrational,” Mo Yin’s tone was cold, slightly altered through the mask, duller, less harsh, “I can overlook what happened before, training will continue as usual starting tomorrow. We shouldn’t meet privately anymore, and don’t come looking for me either. I’m not interested in being friends with anyone.”
Okay.
It was even worse than he expected.
Not only did he completely deny all his leaked emotions, but he also blocked any future paths. It was almost equivalent to cutting off ties.
Ye Chi stared fixedly at Mo Yin’s face.
Mo Yin lowered his head, even his eyes concealed under the edge of his hat.
He was so guarded that not an inch of his skin was exposed to Ye Chi’s eyes.
Ye Chi spoke slowly, “Why overlook what happened before?”
Mo Yin lifted his eyes, giving Ye Chi a cold glance. “Ye Chi, don’t push your luck.”
He seemed so indifferent, as if he wasn’t willing to give any chance at all.
Then don’t come back.
That’s what Ye Chi thought.
He could have just ended it.
Ye Chi didn’t think Mo Yin would lose much without their private training sessions. Mo Yin was a genius who would always find ways to make himself stronger, and today on the field, he had already dazzled Ye Chi.
Ye Chi walked forward, Mo Yin remaining motionless.
Ye Chi stood in front of Mo Yin.
Mo Yin crossed his arms a bit further, creating some distance. Ye Chi continued to move forward, his chest pressing against Mo Yin’s raised elbow.
Ye Chi saw Mo Yin frown.
He frowned, but didn’t move away.
He said not to meet privately again, yet here he was today.
Ye Chi didn’t know if everything was just his imagination. He lowered his head and said, “To overlook what happened before, does that include tonight?”
His mask rose and fell slightly with his breath.
Ye Chi stared intently at Mo Yin.
He couldn’t read Mo Yin—was it rejection, or was there a tiny bit of… curiosity? Did Mo Yin also find this feeling new and interesting?
In real life, no one had dared to get this close to him before, right?
Maybe he found this feeling refreshing and intriguing.
If not, he could have been more ruthless, just like how he treated teammates he wasn’t satisfied with—kicking them away without mercy. Each time he tolerated, it only made him fall deeper.
Ye Chi’s face moved closer, reaching an extremely dangerous distance, until Mo Yin turned his face away, the edge of his hat brushing against Ye Chi’s hair.
Ye Chi stayed still, his breath spraying against Mo Yin’s cheek, the skin revealed at the corner of his eye.
A brief stalemate. Mo Yin released his arms from their embrace and reached for the handle of the compartment door on the right.
Ye Chi caught up, his lips brushing against the corner of Mo Yin’s eye.
Mo Yin turned his head, his eyes cold and stern. He swiftly twisted open the compartment door, but Ye Chi’s hand reached out and closed it again. Mo Yin turned back, his gaze now conveying a stronger warning. Ye Chi responded by firmly holding onto the compartment door handle.
For a moment, Ye Chi felt like he was back when he used to be a network administrator, dealing with troublemakers. He sat behind the cashier’s counter, initially patient, but eventually unable to bear it any longer, he had to resort to physical force and get into fights.
Ye Chi’s arm firmly pressed against Mo Yin’s shoulder, pinning him between the door and himself. He lowered his head and kissed Mo Yin’s cheek hastily, Mo Yin’s palm pushing against his collarbone, trying to push him away. Both exerted their full strength, even their closed eyelids seemed strained. Ye Chi breathed heavily, each kiss leaving a moist trace. Mo Yin also breathed heavily, turning his head so that the edge of his mask and cheek were wetly kissed.
The half-wet mask covered his face, making breathing increasingly difficult. His nose slightly tilted upwards, the mask slipped down on one side, and Mo Yin took a deep breath, his open lips immediately invaded.
Their tongues intertwined, in the wet moment of contact, Ye Chi’s hand against the door suddenly clenched.
He was kissing Mo Yin.
That thought alone was enough to make his body explode.
His hand slid down, gripping Mo Yin’s waist, feeling the cool touch of his team uniform. The muscles around Mo Yin’s waist were tense…
Their mouths were hot and wet, their struggle stirring back and forth. Ye Chi’s lower lip moved upwards, firmly wrapping around Mo Yin’s lower lip. He couldn’t tell whether Mo Yin was resisting or responding.
Their chests pressed against each other, their firm muscles colliding, causing the compartment door to emit a slight, affected knocking sound.
Their minds were completely controlled by the current sensation, their bodies becoming slaves to desire. Ye Chi couldn’t remember anything else, kissing Mo Yin fervently. Mo Yin turned his head several times to avoid him, but Ye Chi repeatedly pursued him. They stumbled from the door to the corner, locked in a tight struggle.
Drenched in sweat, they tangled in the corner, their posture resembling either a fight or an embrace.
From tongue to mouth, Mo Yin felt a tingling sensation. His mask had long disappeared from his face, and his baseball cap, pressed against his head, lay somewhere in the room.
Ye Chi seemed determined to kiss him until the end.
Their lips were thoroughly wet, their tongues still generating more liquid between them.
Mo Yin’s distinctive cool and fresh scent gradually became more complex.
Suddenly, Ye Chi pressed closer.
Their bodies tightly pressed together, trembling violently, their tongues reaching deeply, Ye Chi sucked heavily. He moved his lips away and looked at Mo Yin.
Mo Yin’s usually cool and handsome face blushed slightly, a hint of fire flashing in his eyes, whether from anger or some other reason.
“You’re reacting now,” Ye Chi said.
Mo Yin’s nose was slightly sweaty, his tone surprisingly calm, with a hint of annoyance. “Enough.” He raised his eyebrows, his eyes flashing a final warning. “I’ll count to three. If you don’t let go by then, don’t blame me for being too rough.”
A professional player’s hands were his most valuable asset, and despite their excitement, both still held on to a modicum of restraint.
Mo Yin didn’t need to count to three; as soon as he finished speaking, Ye Chi released his grip on Mo Yin’s waist.
His hand slipped down, catching the edge of the fabric, but Mo Yin grabbed his wrist with considerable force.
Mo Yin stared at Ye Chi coldly and darkly.
He was serious.
If Ye Chi made another move, Mo Yin would really have to take action against him.
Ye Chi glanced back at Mo Yin, then half-knelt down, his breath spraying somewhere. Mo Yin’s breathing slowed slightly, and the strength in his hand relaxed a bit.
Their eyes met intensely.
Ye Chi looked deeply into Mo Yin’s eyes, then without hesitation, he forcefully pulled his wrist downwards.
Mo Yin didn’t hold onto his hand as Ye Chi exerted force, for some reason, he naturally let go.
Ye Chi kissed him again.
Through the thin fabric, it was as wet and intense as kissing Mo Yin himself.
Mo Yin shivered all over.
Ye Chi paid no attention, continuing to change angles, kissing him forcefully from top to bottom. He placed both hands on Mo Yin’s slender legs, kissing and sucking fervently, devoutly, and passionately.
Gradually, he heard Mo Yin’s breathing deepen and quicken.
His gaze lifted.
The hem of the white team uniform swayed, outlining his distinctly fair abdominal muscles, with a faint pink belly button pulsing with each breath, the heat unbearable.
This was Ye Chi’s first time doing something like this, yet he did it without hesitation.
Mo Yin began to feel unsteady, slightly bending over, his hands resting on Ye Chi’s rising and falling back.
In the quiet compartment, only the sounds of their breathing and the strange, poignant movements remained.
Their skin trembled.
Mo Yin’s breath sprayed onto Ye Chi’s forehead. He grabbed Ye Chi’s uniform, hesitated for a moment, then pulled Ye Chi’s collar open, their eyes meeting in a gaze, both with eyes reddened.
“Ye Chi, you’re truly insane…”
His voice was hoarse, the usual cold demeanor finally softened a bit.
Ye Chi remained composed, his eyes still burning with passion. “I told you, I’m a bit crazy.”
He raised his hand, lightly brushing his thumb across the corner of his mouth. “How about… one more time?”
