Chapter 193
The system has been “dead” for a long time.
After Mo Yin exposed it as not being the original system that entered the world initially, it has remained silent.
Mo Yin knows it’s there.
The system was brought into the world by his mental power, and their mental powers are in a connected state.
Considering that all systems in the Alliance are controlled by headquarters, and that Lord claims to be omniscient and omnipotent, Mo Yin boldly speculates that the system was forced offline after revealing the lineage of natural humans, taken over by that Lord.
Actually, Mo Yin also considers why the Lord didn’t take over the system from the beginning if he didn’t want the system to slip and reveal any information. It’s possible it wasn’t necessary. The information the system can reveal is limited; even if the most secretive were disclosed, it wouldn’t matter. But if that’s true, there’d be no need to take over the system. That leaves only one possibility. Taking over the system’s risk outweighs the reward.
In the previous few worlds, the system hadn’t entered a small world. Mo Yin was sure it didn’t want to. Instead, it simply couldn’t. In this world, during numerous exchanges with the system, it revealed it didn’t know what Mo Yin had done in the previous few worlds.
From this, Mo Yin deduced a new theory. Originally, small worlds did not exist in the timeline. The so-called timeline in this world was brought in by the system.
Mo Yin also long suspected his anti-hero status. In the first world, he played happily, so he didn’t think too much. But when Heaven began, this caused him to doubt. In retrospect, in the first world, the two protagonists split into Pei Ming and Pei Qing. In terms of background and personality, the likelihood of the two opposing was high.
Protagonists and villains are equally alive, but they probably don’t matter.
If he didn’t enter that world, it’s highly likely the “Mo Yin” in that world would have died in a car accident.
So Mo Yin has developed a new argument. These worlds do not belong to the Alliance.
This is an interesting matter.
He knows the entire planet is governed by the Alliance, so how did he enter a world that doesn’t belong to the Alliance?
These worlds are all supported by the same force.
The power is strong enough for the Lord to not easily take over the system for fear of exposure.
Yet the power is also strange. Why is such strong power oblivious and indifferent to its own invasion by foreign forces?
The last time the world collapsed, he told it not to come back.
Obviously, he knows.
He knew a foreign force had entered his world and certainly knew what impact it would have on him.
And he chose to let it go again, letting it into the small world.
There are too many mysteries.
But there is only one core.
Who is he?
After Mo Yin made a call, the system did not respond.
This made Mo Yin more certain that the current system was taken over by the head of the Alliance.
He’s very careful in his style.
Mo Yin continues to interact with the system in his mind.
“Let’s make peace. This body is too weak. I can’t hold on until the World Championship. If you still want to complete this world, I think we should cooperate.”
Mo Yin’s tone was decisive, sounding full of vigor, but more like empty threats.
With excessive mental power consumption, his body became abnormally weak, and his strength was almost entirely supported by the seat on the bus. In this situation, anything he said sounded somewhat feeble.
The system finally spoke.
“If you had obediently followed the timeline from the beginning, it wouldn’t be like today.”
The system’s tone was heavy, with a lecturing tone.
“Maybe because I’m such a willful person.”
Mo Yin said with some self-deprecation.
System: “A common ailment of natural humans.”
Mo Yin remained silent, closing his eyes and breathing slowly.
After who knows how long, the physically torn lungs were enveloped by a mental power, and his breathing immediately became much smoother.
Mo Yin smiled slightly, “Does this count as making peace?”
System: “Coordinator, I can help you maintain the daily operation of this body, but I hope you can agree to one additional condition for me.”
“What?”
“Besides the necessary plot, please do not have any contact with the protagonist again.”
Mo Yin Said: “Okay.”
He agreed so readily, yet the system remained silent.
“I thought you had developed unusual feelings for the protagonist.”
“That’s beside the point.”
Mo Yin casually remarked, “You know, I’m a natural person.”
The physical pain was eased by the system’s mental power, and Mo Yin took out his phone.
Ye Chi sent him several WeChat messages, all asking about his condition.
While on stage, Ye Chi seemed to notice something wrong with him. During those few seconds they locked eyes, Mo Yin felt there were moments when Ye Chi might disregard the occasion and run over to him.
Fortunately, his teammates intercepted him.
The system remained silent.
Mo Yin didn’t reply either.
Back at the base, his teammates asked about Mo Yin’s condition, but he brushed them off with phrases like “I’m fine.” With the system’s help, he did look much better.
WeChat notifications were relentlessly piling up, and Tang Qi quickly found a place to reply.
Chen Dong, upon receiving a reply, immediately turned to Ye Chi beside him, showing him his phone.
“Look, their teammates all say he’s fine.”
Ye Chi glanced at Chen Dong’s phone, said nothing, and his tense expression softened slightly.
In his mind, Chen Dong thought sarcastically: Dude, we just got beaten badly, and if he’s just got a cold, how could they hit us so hard?
Before this, he didn’t think much of Ye Chi, but now he was becoming increasingly fond of him. Could this be what they call being a masochist?

The schedule for the Bubble Tournament was also very tight, starting just two days after the Summer Finals.
For REAL, the playoffs were almost a devilish schedule. Continuous bo5 matches would consume a lot of physical and mental energy, as well as the tactical system of the team.
As predicted before the match, KU had studied them thoroughly. REAL struggled heavily in the Bubble Tournament and eventually lost 2:3, dropping into the loser’s bracket.
KU smoothly advanced, becoming the third seed for the World Finals.
REAL would continue with another bo5 to compete for the last spot in the World Finals.
In the eyes of the audience and fans, REAL was a dark horse team with strong capabilities, second only to DSG in the entire region. No one expected REAL to face the possibility of missing out on the World Finals, sparking another wave of public doubts similar to the Spring Finals.
The final battle of the Bubble Tournament was tied to the ceremony for the World Finals.
All three teams that had already qualified for the World Finals gathered at the venue, waiting for the last spot to be decided. The four teams would then start the World Finals send-off ceremony.
DSG, ADT, and KU arrived early in the lounge, dressed in their team uniforms.
ADT had the best relationship with REAL. Dong Jianguo was nervously watching REAL’s match in the lounge, along with Tang Qi, who was so nervous he felt more anxious than when he played on the field. Seeing the score tied 1:1 made him almost breathless. He glanced sneakily at Mo Yin in the corner, who was as usual resting with his eyes closed, completely ignoring the match.
Tang Qi had become a messenger these days.
Chen Dong asked him every day to report on Mo Yin’s situation at the base.
Tang Qi didn’t know what to say.
MY is fine, just resting at the base, should be recovering from illness, I dare not ask, but he really looks fine.
Every day he reported these uninformative messages to Chen Dong.
Chen Dong said their team was very concerned about Mo Yin.
Tang Qi got up and quietly moved next to Mo Yin, cautiously calling out, “MY…”
Mo Yin opened his eyes.
Tang Qi said, “You played well today, it’s intense.”
Mo Yin looked at him, asking with his eyes.
Tang Qi was a bit embarrassed but also brave, “Who do you think will win?”
Teammates nearby also looked over.
Mo Yin glanced over and said, “REAL.”
Tang Qi didn’t know why, but felt greatly encouraged by Mo Yin. He smiled and said, “I think so too!”
In the lounge, the REAL team discussed their tactics. Ye Chi stood up, but his shoulder was suddenly held back. Chen Dong handed him his phone.
On the screen was a message from Tang Qi.
–[MY says you guys will definitely win!]
Ye Chi looked at Chen Dong, who looked determined. Ye Chi pushed his phone back, turned around, and walked towards the arena.
3:1, the final spot for the World Finals was decided.
On stage, the players hugged each other. Chen Dong couldn’t help but cry with joy. This year had been full of surprises and difficulties for them, but in the end, they had achieved it!
Ye Chi also felt a long-lost sense of relief, tightly embracing his teammates. The joy of victory and finally advancing to the World Finals surrounded him, yet he couldn’t shake off that strange lingering unease.
Since the Summer Finals, Mo Yin had not contacted him again.
That night, the voice messages Ye Chi sent to Mo Yin on WeChat seemed to vanish into thin air, leaving Ye Chi unusually restless. After inquiring about Mo Yin’s condition through various channels and finally getting an answer, Ye Chi breathed a sigh of relief but remained puzzled.
Why had Mo Yin cut off contact with him?
Ye Chi struggled to find reasons.
Eventually, he found one.
He thought maybe Mo Yin wanted him to focus entirely on performing well in the Bubble Tournament.
So Ye Chi focused single-mindedly on preparing for the tournament, even under such difficult circumstances, and still managed to make it to the World Finals.
And soon, they would hold the send-off ceremony together on stage.
Staff members brought out the World Finals jackets, and the REAL team eagerly put them on. Ye Chi looked towards the entrance, and after a commotion, the other three teams appeared.
As the number one seed, DSG naturally led the way, and Mo Yin, as the core of the team, naturally walked at the front of the group.
Ye Chi saw Mo Yin, but Mo Yin seemed not to see him. Those eyes looked cold, aloof, focused on some distant point as he took his place at the head of the number one seed.
Ye Chi followed, tilting his head back, locking eyes.
Mo Yin indeed looked in good shape.
The feeling of worry and unease that had unsettled Ye Chi inexplicably disappeared.
In its place was a strange coldness.
The entire send-off process passed quickly. After the live broadcast ended, the players naturally gathered together to chat and laugh. Ye Chi listened to the people around him talking, just as he was about to step towards Mo Yin, Mo Yin seemed to sense something and stepped down from the stage.
Ye Chi paused in his tracks for a moment before catching up.
In the corridor, however, there was no sign of Mo Yin.
He ran through the corridors, pushed open the door to the secure passage, his face lit up with expectant enthusiasm.
The secure passage was empty.
*
The World Finals were held overseas, and all the teams had already obtained their visas. On the day they boarded the plane, the team members gathered at the airport.
All three teams were present, but DSG was conspicuously absent.
ADT had the inside scoop as always.
“They chartered a plane themselves. The team has a boss, you know.”
Dong Jianguo looked envious.
Chen Dong nudged Sun Yuanyang’s knee. “Boss, how about you?”
“Big brother, our family runs a hotpot restaurant. We sell tripe, they sell gemstones. What can we say?”
Laughter erupted all around, the atmosphere joyous and lively.
Yet Ye Chi, wearing headphones, stared at his phone with a subdued expression, devoid of joy.
In-flight at ten thousand meters, an abrupt thought flashed through Ye Chi’s mind: had he been dumped?
The sudden cut-off, the sudden avoidance.
It seemed like he really had been dumped.
Ye Chi found it hard to describe how he felt, a sense of bewildering loss.
So.
Why?
Ye Chi reflected on whether he had done something wrong.
He didn’t know.
And right now, it didn’t seem like the best time to dwell on relationship issues.
The plane landed.
They checked into the hotel, finally receiving a piece of good news.
DSG and they were staying in the same hotel. Just like last time at MSI, DSG had complied with league regulations and booked the entire top floor, effectively isolating themselves from the other teams.
Since the fourth seed still needed to compete in the qualifying rounds, REAL had to start playing as soon as they arrived. The other teams adjusted to the time difference, rested, and played practice matches.
DSG had the most favorable conditions and naturally adapted the quickest.
Mo Yin slept alone in a room in the suite. He lay in bed watching the qualifying rounds.
REAL took the stage.
Ye Chi wore his deep blue expedition uniform and stood in the middle, looking serious.
He seemed to have lost a bit of weight.
Perhaps because of this, his facial features became more pronounced, and his aura became more profound and steady, as if he had matured all of a sudden, exuding a leader’s charisma.
A faint smile appeared on Mo Yin’s face.
He smiled, and the system interjected, “Do you like him?”
Mo Yin replied, “What do you think?”
The system said:“I didn’t expect you to have such a change.”
“Is it really that much of a change?”
“For a natural person like you, it’s quite significant.”
“Oh?”
Mo Yin said meaningfully, “Perhaps calling it evolution would be more appropriate. What do you think?”
