Transmigrated as the Female Educated Youth in 1970s Chapter 39.3

Jiang Lin said, “Monkey boy, do one.”

Cheng Rushan swiftly pulled her over and gave her a quick kiss before letting go.

Jiang Lin exclaimed, “!!”

Wensheng and Dabao and Xiaobao were already captivated by Cheng Rushan’s display, lined up in a row, squatting on the ground to watch him do a one-handed handstand.

They saw him supporting himself with his left hand, gradually straightening his arm, tensing his body, and lifting both legs straight up towards the sky.

The three of them applauded enthusiastically. “Dad, you’re amazing!”

Cheng Rushan continued the handstand, bending and straightening his arm, drawing cheers from the three boys.

Wensheng reached out to give him a high-five, and Dabao Xiaobao followed suit.

Cheng Rushan reached out to Jiang Lin. She shook her head with a smile, “I’m not coming over.”

Cheng Rushan teased, “Come here, or I won’t kiss you.”

Jiang Lin playfully pinched his nose. “Cheng little monkey, you’re quite the show-off.” Suddenly, a large hand grabbed her waist, and she spun around in a whirlwind, caught off guard by Cheng Rushan.

“Ah! Ah!”

Jiang Lin screamed in surprise as she fell into Cheng Rushan’s arms.

He stood firmly on the ground, smiling down at her. “What are you afraid of? I won’t let you fall.”

The moonlight shone on her face, pure and bright, reflecting in her clear eyes. His heart fluttered as he chuckled softly. “Go to bed early.”

Then he helped her steady herself.

Jiang Lin calmed her pounding heart and clapped her hands. “Alright, you guys, hurry up and take a shower, then go to bed.”

They used the small room on the south side of the west wing as their shower room, enclosed by walls with a courtyard just the size of a palm, perfectly suited for a bathroom.

Che g Rushan immediately carried Dabao and Xiaobao over to bathe, while Yan Runzhi had already heated up hot water and mixed it into warm water for them directly.

Once they finished bathing and climbed onto the kang, Jiang Lin hurriedly went to wash up as well.

When she returned in her nightgown, she was surprised to find that Dabao and Xiaobao were not in the room.

Puzzled, she heard giggling coming from the western room.

Curious, she approached and peeked through the door crack.

There, she saw Cheng Rushan leaning against the kang edge, facing off with Wensheng and Dabao and Xiaobao, while Cheng Yuzhi and Yan Runzhi peered over with interest.

Six heads were gathered in a circle, tinkering with something.

Soon Jiang Lin figured out what they were up to—they were tinkering with a radio, a rather primitive one that Cheng Rushan had bought from someone who had assembled it.

After some tuning, it started playing a tune. “Tick-tock, tick-tock, the little speaker is broadcasting now!”

Everyone on the kang immediately cheered.

Cheng Rushan said, “The radio is placed in Grandma’s room. If you want to listen, you have to sleep here. Who wants to listen?”

They all raised their hands eagerly. Xiaobao said, “I want to listen to the radio first, then I’ll go sleep with Mom.”

Cheng Rushan smiled, tousling his hair. “Go lie down over there and listen. There will be songs in a while.”

Wensheng, Dabao and Xiaobao, and the others immediately lay down, listening to the songs emanating from the radio.

As expected, within a few minutes, they were fast asleep.

Whenever they relaxed and wanted to sleep, they could fall asleep almost instantly.

Sure enough, before Jiang Lin could count to thirty, Xiaobao and Dabao were already sound asleep.

Jiang Lin sighed to herself, “…”

Yan Runzhi smiled, “Oh, you always have a way.”

She signaled for Cheng Rushan to hurry.

Cheng Rushan turned and walked out the door, catching a glimpse of Jiang Lin slipping into the bedroom.

He went to wash up, and when he returned, Jiang Lin had already laid out two quilts.

He was in shorts and a tank top, broad-shouldered and slim-waisted, with a handsome, muscular physique that exuded endless strength, making hearts race at first sight.

He casually wiped his hair a few times, water droplets following the graceful curve of his neck into his tank top, particularly enticing.

Jiang Lin stole a glance; his skin was fair, especially where the sun couldn’t reach, smooth and delicate, tempting to touch.

“Don’t leave your hair wet, you might catch a cold,” Jiang Lin said, handing him her towel and turning him away from the heated brick bed to help dry his hair.

She knelt on the brick bed edge to dry his hair and noticed a scar on his left shoulder, faintly visible from his back.

Though long healed, its visibility on his fair skin startled her.

“It’s ugly. Don’t look,” he turned to face her.

Jiang Lin’s throat tightened, lips pursed. “Does it hurt?”

Cheng Rushan encircled her slender waist with his hands, looking up at her. “A kiss would make it better.”

Jiang Lin’s heart skipped a beat, leaning down to kiss him.

Before her lips met his, he embraced and rolled her onto the bed.

Propping himself up on his elbows, he towered over her, his deep black eyes filled with amusement. “Don’t pity me; I’m not that fragile.”

Jiang Lin blushed under his gaze, instinctively biting her lip.

She wanted to tell him to blow out the lamp or close his eyes, but his lips covered hers.

His kiss, like him, seemed calm yet held a fierce strength, appearing harsh yet hiding a unique tenderness that ensnared her.

Lost in his kiss, she lost track of time, wanting him to extinguish the lamp while he insisted on watching her in its light.

Seeing a beauty under the lamplight was an utmost tenderness, enhancing her shyness with a rosy glow, making her stunningly beautiful.

She awaited his visit while he patiently prepared her with great determination.

She gently twisted, hinting he could proceed.

Intently gazing at her, he whispered hoarsely, “Jiang Lin.”

“Mm?”

“Who am I?” he asked.

Jiang Lin, initially a bit hazy, was now fully awake and thought to herself, He’s really something…

“Jiang Lin, who am I?” he persisted, his lips brushing against hers, exhaling slowly, insisting on her answer.

“You’re the big bad wolf, you’re the unstoppable king, you’re…,” Jiang Lin couldn’t help but smirk.

Cheng Rushan lightly bit her, a playful punishment.

Jiang Lin frowned playfully, her clear eyes showing a hint of annoyance. “Cheng Rushan, you…!”

With a firm embrace, he completely possessed her. “Remember my name, never forget it, never say it wrong again.”

At first, Jiang Lin thought they were evenly matched, able to contend with each other, not losing face herself.

But then she realized he was just getting started!

Every time she couldn’t resist and begged for mercy, he would coax her to say his name.

But she soon realized it was a trick; calling his name only made him more excited, unable to stop!

Finally, unable to take it anymore, she pleaded, “Cheng Rushan, please spare me…”

She was young and didn’t want to exhaust herself in bed.

He chuckled softly, a deep resonance in his chest, incredibly sexy. “It’s okay, I’ll give you my all.”

Jiang Lin sighed inwardly, feeling vulnerable. Please have mercy, I’m really fragile.

As she looked out the window at the moon high in the sky, slowly descending towards the west…

She was just too tired!

Who knew what sleeping with a man who had been abstinent for so long would be like?

The next morning, Jiang Lin woke up to complete silence in the house.

She glanced at herself, feeling refreshed, dressed in a tank top and shorts that Cheng Rushan must have helped her put on after washing.

She quickly got up, dressed neatly, and went downstairs, quietly opening the door a crack to peek outside.

There was no one in sight.

She immediately stepped out, hurried to wash up.

The sun was already high in the sky, at least three poles high by her estimation.

In about an hour, it would be time for lunch.

Returning to the main room, she checked around and found a pot with food left for her—cool, but not cold.

She lifted the lid to find a bowl of egg soup, a few steamed buns, and some stuffed eggplants.

She quickly brought them out and placed them on the table, sat down alone to eat, planning to finish quickly and leave.

When they returned, she could say she had already eaten and been out busy before coming back.

As she ate, the courtyard gate creaked. Jiang Lin quickly picked up her meal basket and set it on the cupboard.

Cheng Rushan strode in from outside, seeing her eating, smiled. “Starving, huh? I told you to finish those stuffed eggplants last night.”

Jiang Lin gritted her teeth, shooting him a stern look.

To Cheng Rushan, she seemed to be teasing him.

“Where did everyone go?” she asked.

Cheng Rushan replied, “I went to help with the roofing. Mom and Dad went to the commune to shell corn.”

Currently, some were picking corn and bringing it to the field, while others were shelling the corn husks in the field.

Jiang Lin breathed a sigh of relief, thankful that no one knew she had slept until noon.

Cheng Rushan reached out and touched her face, prompting her to glare at him. “Cheng Rushan, stop touching me all the time. It doesn’t look good if someone sees.”

Cheng Rushan looked at his hand. “Sorry, I can’t help it.”

He didn’t know why he was addicted to touching her, as if it was a crime to not touch her little face.

He couldn’t resist the pleasure and satisfaction that came from stroking her, not understanding why.

So he just went with it, after all, she was his wife, and a little touch wouldn’t hurt.

Jiang Lin rolled her eyes at him. “You have skin hunger.”

Cheng Rushan, curious, asked, “Is that a disease?” He examined his palm, which seemed to fit perfectly against her face.

Jiang Lin nodded seriously. “Yes, it’s quite serious.”

Cheng Rushan sat down beside her, grinning. “Then please, wife, save me. After all, my life belongs to you now, you figure it out.”

Jiang Lin looked at him seriously and realized how remarkable he was—saying unserious things in a serious manner yet making it feel useful.

She quickly finished her meal, tidied up, and pretended she had woken up early to have breakfast. “Whose turn is it this morning? I’ll go over there right now.”

Cheng Rushan said, “Don’t bother going this late morning. Worst case, I’ll tell Mom and Dad you just got back.” He chuckled after speaking.

Jiang Lin’s thoughts were laid bare by his words, and she blushed, trying to twist his waist, but there was no flesh to twist, so she ended up twisting his face out of frustration.

Cheng Rushan didn’t resist or get annoyed; instead, he cooperated by puffing up his cheeks for her to pinch.

Unexpectedly, Jiang Lin found him somewhat cute and couldn’t help but kiss him, only to be held down as he kissed her back.

After a while, he helped her up and said seriously, “I’m going to the County Revolutionary Committee this afternoon. Are you coming?”

Jiang Lin shook her head, “I’m fine, you go ahead.”

She knew he was going there for Wen Sheng’s matters, not for leisure, so naturally, she didn’t tag along.

A while later, Yan Runzhi returned to cook. Seeing Jiang Lin at home, she smiled, “Our daughter-in-law is back! Is there anything special you’d like to eat?”

Jiang Lin pretended to be calm and composed, “Mom, do we have any fresh corn? Can we have some if they bring some back?”

Yan Runzhi replied, “Your dad will bring some back soon.”

Jiang Lin said, “I’ll go take a look.” And she promptly ran off.

Yan Runzhi chuckled to herself, amused.

Cheng Rushan came out of the bathroom and saw his mother smiling mischievously.

He cleared his throat to remind her.

Yan Runzhi glanced at him. “Dongsheng, it’s not easy, huh?”

Cheng Rushan replied, “It’s not that difficult.”

Yan Runzhi chuckled.

Cheng Rushan continued, “Mom, I’ll take you to the provincial capital to play in a while.”

Yan Runzhi got excited. “To visit our relatives? Okay, Mom will remember. These days, I’ll go find and buy two young roosters to raise. We can take them with us.”

At noon, besides cooking corn, Yan Runzhi also tried making a corn cake sprinkled with sugar, a great dessert, but she made only a small amount.

Cheng Yunzhi and Cheng Rushan definitely wouldn’t eat the kids’ snacks; they just focused on their meals.

Xiao Bao really liked it.

He teased Wensheng and Dabao, “There’s not much of this corn cake.”

The two replied, “It’s delicious.”

Xiao Bao said, “Boiled corn is also delicious.”

They agreed.

Xiao Bao added, “You can eat boiled corn, and next time Grandma makes it, she can let you have some, okay?”

Wensheng and Dabao glanced at each other, with Dabao hesitating a bit.

Xiao Bao said, “Dabao, didn’t you say you wanted to try some sugar?”

Dabao gave him the corn cake, saying, “Okay.”

Xiao Bao immediately enjoyed it happily; it was so sweet and fragrant!

Jiang Lin thought to herself, then took a big piece and tasted it. “So sweet!”

Xiao Bao looked shocked and aggrieved. “Mom, you’re not being nice~~ You won’t let me have sugar, and you even took the sugary corn cake that I made when there’s boiled corn for you guys to eat.”

Jiang Lin chuckled mischievously. “Xiao Bao, you’re being good~~” She even broke off a piece and stuffed it into Cheng Rushan’s mouth.

Wensheng and Dabao looked resigned as they munched on the boiled corn. Yep, really sweet!
