Tang Wenxu quietly approached Qin Ruqing and began introducing the judges to her.
“That dignified woman is Master Minghua. Minghua is her name, and Master is her title. Only those who reach a very high level in artifact crafting and create artifacts that benefit the cultivation world can be called Master.”
“Master Minghua improved the first generation flying boat and designed a new power system, leading to the flying boats’ current development.”
Qin Ruqing and her friends responded with a long “Oh.”
“To the left are Master Qishan, Master Yuantai, and Master Luming,” Yang Wenxu continued in a low voice. “Master Luming’s last name is Fifth.”
Seeing Yang Wenxu’s exaggerated expressions,
Qin Ruqing and her friends understood. It seemed the Fifth family had sent someone to oversee the event, which explained why he sat next to the director.
While Qin Ruqing was enjoying watching, she didn’t realize someone was watching her with amusement.
Fifth Lingyu casually glanced in her direction and recognized her.
He remembered how she had bombarded him with messages late one night, waking him up with questions about flame seeds.
His gaze lingered on her for a couple of breaths.
Then he noticed something unusual.
Qin Ruqing’s aura was completely different from the first time he met her.
Back then, her aura was intense and obvious, like a small, fierce beast.
He had quickly seen that she had an extraordinary constitution and had reached a perfect innate state.
But now, her aura was calm and concealed, as if something was covering her completely.
Even her outward aura was so subdued that she blended into the crowd.
What had happened?
Was it some special artifact that concealed her aura, or had she learned to hide her powerful state?
Perhaps he stared too long, because Qin Ruqing suddenly looked up and glanced in his direction.
Fifth Lingyu wasn’t bothered; he just smiled and slowly looked away.
Qin Ruqing was puzzled by his charming smile.
Was he looking at her? Or was it just a coincidence?
She instinctively reached for her storage bag, knowing it was an important occasion today.
Afraid of meeting someone powerful, Qin Ruqing wore a hidden badge she had just received.
1Could it be that the director noticed something different about her? He had a sharp nose.
On the platform, Fifth Lingyu withdrew his gaze and chuckled softly, saying, “Interesting.”
Sitting next to him, Master Luming asked, “What’s interesting, Little Lingyu?”
Fifth Lingyu suppressed his smile a bit and said it was nothing.
Then he added, “The competition is about to start. Elder, you have to help me keep an eye out. Whether my Xiling can build a ship to cross the Duanmai Mountain depends on this selection of geniuses. If you were willing to help me, we wouldn’t need such a grand competition.”
Most people only knew that Master Luming was from the Immortal Products family, but few knew he was actually an elder in charge of artifact crafting.
Master Luming laughed and waved his hand, “I’m old and can’t handle such a big project. Let the young people do it. This time, I’ll help you select a few talents.”
As they spoke, the recorder announced the competition rules.
“The competition will last ten days. During this time, the participating artifact makers must craft spiritual artifacts in the official workshop provided by the Immortal Products Bureau.
The finished artifacts will be evaluated by the examiners, and the scores will determine the rankings.
The top three will be allowed to participate in the spaceship crafting project, and those who make significant contributions will have the chance to obtain clues about the divine artifact blueprints.”
The audience burst into an uproar.
Reactions varied, but most were filled with shock.
Ordinary people were ten times more shocked.
When the Celestial Bureau announced the competition, they mentioned a mysterious grand prize but didn’t say it was related to a divine artifact.
Most had never even heard of a divine artifact. Why was the bureau being so generous?
Those who had received early information, mainly the prominent families, felt a mix of shock and subtle emotions.
They had been told the reward was directly the divine artifact blueprints.
Now, it was just clues to the blueprints.
It seemed the initial announcements were exaggerated.
It made sense; even the Celestial family wouldn’t have many divine artifact blueprints.
Giving away one was unlikely. Offering clues to a lost blueprint was more reasonable.
Even Qin Ruqing was slightly surprised.
The “mysterious grand prize” they had heard about in the teahouse was real.
Though it was still vague, stating that those who made “outstanding contributions” had a chance to get blueprint clues.
What did “outstanding contributions” mean? Did it mean she had to build the entire spaceship alone?
Still, the conditions were very tempting.
For artifact makers, their cultivation might not be the most important.
Things related to divine artifacts were crucial for their potential to ascend to immortality.
Qin Ruqing nudged Tang Zifeng and said, ” Brother Tang, there’s a new task for you! Besides beating the bad guys, you now have to get those divine artifact blueprint clues. Maybe your future ascension depends on it!”
Qirong had read too many stories about invincible heroes.
Qin Qirong also got excited and said, “Brother Tang, this might be your big opportunity!”
Tang Zifeng remained silent, feeling a heavy burden on his shoulders.
Why did the Qin family associate the idea of ascension with him?
What did they see in him that made them think he had the potential to ascend?
The recorder continued explaining the competition rules. A
fter presenting the grand prize, it was time to explain the rules.
“You must complete the artifact within the given time, or you’ll be disqualified.”
“Each workshop has surveillance equipment. Do not tamper with it. If you interfere with the equipment or intentionally block the cameras, it will be considered a violation.”
Lu Wei looked surprised and remarked, “This competition is really strict.”
Qin Ruqing thought it was reasonable, “The surveillance rule is likely to prevent anyone from bringing pre-made parts. For example, if someone pre-crafted the hardest part of the artifact and only needed to assemble it during the competition, that would be hard to detect without surveillance.”
Lu Wei nodded.
After the rules were announced, the artifact makers began entering the workshops.
Qin Ruqing casually asked Tang Zifeng, “Hey, what number did you get? I’ll give you a reading.”
Tang Zifeng wondered if she could really tell fortunes.
He obediently answered, “Sixty-eight.”
Qin Ruqing pretended to calculate, then clapped her hands, “Great! Six and eight, very lucky numbers! I bet you’ll win today!”
…So that’s how she calculated it.
Tang Zifeng couldn’t help but smile, feeling a bit lighter.
He nodded, “Alright.”
After nodding to Qirong and Lu Wei, he turned and headed towards the workshop.
As the artifact makers began entering the workshops, the judges received the forms.
Master Minghua suddenly exclaimed, “Why do these two forms have almost identical artifacts listed?”
Master Luming, who was close to Minghua, looked over and guessed, “Maybe they had similar ideas…” But after seeing the details, he changed his mind, “The similarity is too high. It can’t just be a coincidence. It’s…”
He turned to Fifth Lingyu, “Little Lingyu, we set such strict rules. Could someone still be cheating?”
Fifth Lingyu raised an eyebrow, “I personally made the rules. How could anyone exploit them? This is an old issue between these two artifact makers. We just sit back and watch.”
Watch?…
Master Minghua and Luming seemed to understand and looked closely at the forms.
Finally, they noticed something.
“Both of them are named Tang!”
Fifth Lingyu laughed and rested his chin on his other hand, “Yes, they are from the same family!”
